well i think what we know what each other is trying to say( o_O ). anyway, heres a basic outline for a single pokemon:

Code:

<pokemon> <gender> @ <item>
<ability>
<Evs> <stat/ev points, stat/ev points, stat/ev points>
<nature> <boosted stat / decreased stat>
<move one>
<move two>
<move three>
<move four>

Oh yeah, that works. Don't forget to make the actually give commentary...and good commentary vs like "standard" " The set is the best" "You can obviously see what this thing is for" kinda stuff.

Fallacy

Shouldn't teams have to follow some sort of format? Most experienced people will do this anyways, but it can't hurt to put it as a guideline.

I'll copy-paste the Shoddy Battle format just in case.

Also, gloating is a farily vague word as people have pointed out. Case by case works, but should this place ever get active... well, case by case isn't the funnest way to do things.

It's not, but the harder and faster the rules are, the more rules lawyering people will do. And that's bad. I personally won't instantly lock "gloaty" threads; if it's borderline i'll just caution the user and ask them to change it a bit, if it's blatantor repeat i'll warn.

If I want to run a Beldum/Hoppip/Feebas/Sunkern/Magikarp/Bidoof team I will. If you want to give me good advice, I'll follow it. You shouldn't lock topics for people being new to the metagame and thinking that Hoppip is usable. You should lock topics for people either consistantly failing to take good advice, when a topic gets old, or if there is some forum rule breaking going on (ie: flaming, porn links, spamming).

I disagreed with the "locking noob topics" point, but joke teams with Magikarp and Beldum are obviously jokes and usually trolling. Unless the user is brand new, this will be an instant warning, as joke teams aren't what RMT is for. New players will obviously not be warned for not realizing XYZ sucks as a Pokémon, but yeah.

Following this up, there should be a Raters Guidelines topic. They're different.

I can probably just merge that into this one, really, as raters are a part of RMT and it'd keep the # of stickies down.
You have an AWESOME avatar.

This isn't a bannable / warnable offense, but try to avoid putting RMT in your title. It HAS to be an RMT, it's in a forum dedicated to them...

Hey, guys, can we stop making posts with no content in RMTs? Like nearly half of the posts in the recent surge of good teams have been pc++ posts with stuff like "Good team" or "cool", and that's IT. No content, no helpful advice, not even a nitpick! Please add some content to your rate, like noting a weakness or two and giving a possible alternative, or nearly anything else, even on good teams! Thanks.

Hey, what's up?

I don't think that's quite fair, but I think if you're saying "cool team" you should at least elaborate. Like:

"Very impressive team Colloquy, I like it because you abuse the fact that Meowth stops set up allowing you for a much easier entry into late game with an advantage." (Completely made up)

Just because a team is posted, doesn't mean it has issues. This isn't a "fix/change my team" forum, it's "rate my team", rate as in giving feedback. Suggesting a change shouldn't be mandatory, but explaining your view on the team should be. This is just IMO of course.

I agree with HeYsUp, it should take work getting 200+ posts, not just posts saying "uber team man, canz i trie O.o", perhaps warn people and make it an infractable offense, because it honestly wastes my time clicking to view threads with new posts only to find a "awezum team bud!!!!!@ :D"

That was basically my point. I have warned a user about this, so don't think it's not being enforced, TPM.
