Lil Kiddy (Ralts) (M) @ Choice Scarf Ability: Trace EVs: 52 HP/196 Spd/236 SAtk Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Hypnosis - Destiny Bond - Psychic - Shadow Ball --- Anyone recall my Scarf Anti-Start Gardevoir? Same premise, but it seems less effective. Still, quick Hypnosis and revenge kill on certain specific pokes is golden. --- Misty's Pet (Horsea) (F) @ Life Orb Ability: Swift Swim EVs: 116 HP/196 Spd/196 SAtk Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Surf - Rain Dance - Dragon Pulse - Ice Beam --- I'm fond of Kingdra's line, and without Blissey, Horsea is that much better in LC as Kingdra is in OU. Still, Munchlax can spell trouble, but its good nonetheless. --- Fatass (Wailmer) (M) @ Choice Scarf Ability: Oblivious EVs: 36 HP/76 Def/196 Spd/200 SAtk Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Water Spout - Surf - Hidden Power [Electric] - Ice Beam --- Causes a lot of havoc, particulary if it rains due to Horsea. Fast and annoyingly powerful, and can take a few hits too, and come back with the more reliable Surf later. --- Frail? ME? (Carvanha) (M) @ Choice Band Ability: Rough Skin EVs: 76 HP/196 Atk/236 Spd Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Aqua Jet - Return - Ice Fang - Crunch --- Carvanha hurts, but can't take anything. Yeah, simple. --- Brock Puncher (Croagunk) (F) @ Oran Berry Ability: Dry Skin EVs: 58 HP/188 Atk/36 Def/198 Spd Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Substitute - Sucker Punch - Focus Punch - Bullet Punch --- It seems that this way is pretty unexpected. People tend to predict the Nasty Plotter methinks. Eh, it works for me, thats all I need to know. --- Uhm, Rawr? (Rattata) (M) @ Flame Orb Ability: Guts EVs: 228 Atk/182 Spd/100 SAtk Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def) - Protect - Crunch - Facade - Hidden Power [Grass] --- Probably going to boot it out in favor of Teddiursa or Taillow. Its just not quick enough. Then again, it IS scaringly powerful when it gets going... --- So yeah, this is my team. Been having problems with Diglett, annoying poke really. Otherwise haven't really seen anything that completely brings me to a halt. Any suggestions? Edited by Lou Cypher, Jun 29 2008, 12:14 PM.

Post has been logged. Rate coming soon, I'm just marking off teams I've logged. 3 Water types makes it seem Chinchou weak. |

I surprisingly didn't run into Chinchou yet. I should be able to handle it somehow, although I dont know what it usually carries. Methinks Rattata, Croagunk and Ralts (VOLT ABSORB TRACE'D) can handle it? |

At a glance it looks like a regular rain dance team, which makes me wonder why you dont have omanmyte on here. i don't really feel good about three choice items on one team. granted, it doesn't have as much of a negative effect on the team as it would in standard, but you could find yourself switching out a lot against a well made team. my suggestion would be to take out wailmer and add in chinchou so you at least have some sort of defence, it can also soak up electric attacks that plague your team. no one has made a chinchou analysis yet but here is what i think it would be(feel free to correct me): Chinchou (M) @ Oran Berry Ability: Volt Absorb EVs: 236 HP/228 SDef Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Thunderbolt - Ice Beam - Surf - Thunder Wave/HP [grass]/rain dance although HP [grass] is probably the most used, i think that thunder wave is a very viable option because it will be able to cripple so many other pokemon. HP [grass] could be used to kill opposing chinchou but other than that i don't see what it can over that the others cannot. rain dance support could be good for this team thus making damp rock an option but i think that in either case oran berry is a better option. even though sub punching croagunk does very well in the rain, the limited rain supply( no damp rock ) means he wont make much use of it. even past that, i don't think that sub punching in general does very good in little cup. there is too much sash going around and many teams now carry gligar or a ghost. the two you would really have to worry about are gligar and drifloon, gligar being able to 2HKO you with earthquake and drifloon being able to sub up and CM pass. I'd take out both rattata and croagunk and put in guts machop. he is essentially the other two put together. the only thing you will really miss in sucker punch but its not a huge loss. for the last spot, i think that either bronzor or an agility passer would be great for this team. the agility passer would be mostly for machop, so he can out speed and kill higher speed threats. bronzor is much more of a team player, especially if you give him rain dance and make him more physically defensive. once again, damp rock is an option if you choose to go with rain dance on bronzor but oran berry provides much needed health. nitpicks: carvanha should have aqua jet, preferably over return, so it can out speed things like gengar. you should put the HP EV's on another stat, like Sp. def since 0 EV's will give you 19 hp, meaning you only take one damage from life orb. this allows you to be able to attack 19 times before dying as opposed to 10 if you had 21 hp. you may want to put thunderbolt over shadow ball on ralts because most things you would be killing with it in LC will also be KOed by thunderbolt anyway. if you wanted you could use 1337 prediction on the murkrow switch and OHKO it. have fun with your battles! ... As nice as that is, post that in the Movesets forum and not here. Also, please don't quote entire RMTs. There's really no need to quote anything from an RMT, as readers should know and have read exactly what's in it. That said, I have a couple of suggestions. Teddiursa and Taillow are FAR better status abusers/absorbers than Ratatta, so you'll want to swap em quickly. Carvanha gets diced by anything even remotely looking like Priority, so he's always a liability on any team. I'd swap him for something like Murkrow or Diglett that serves more of a utility purpose, since you're rather short on revenge killers. On Croagunk, it may be worth pulling a Lucario and packing HP Ice for Gligar. Drifloon has to attack to break your Sub, and Sucker Punch shafts that. Same with Gengar and Misdreavus. If you put the Def into SpA and use a different nature (maybe +Atk,-SpD), HP Ice hits for 76.92% - 92.31% on 252/252+ SpD Gligar, the most Special Defense-oriented Gligar possible, and 86.96% - 121.74% on a 0/0 Gligar. Somewhere in between, there's probably enough damage to beat Gligar with HP Ice. I'd drop Bullet Punch for it personally, as it covers the biggest threat to a SubPunching Croagunk. I personally prefer Hydro Pump over Surf on Scarfed Wailmer, as the extra little bit of punch can sometimes be just what you need to ensure dropping a tough foe. Going back to what I said, Murkrow would be a great addition to this team. It instantly removes any real Diglett issues, as it can come into a choiced EQ and stroke it with Pursuit, it hits hard and fast with good STABs, and it makes a great Sleep blocker. |

You sure? I thought Wailmer had shitty Defense and gigantic HP... Also, I plan on dropping my reserve for Drifloon to get Chinchou... I should go do that. Edited by Chris, Jun 29 2008, 10:59 AM.

Yeah, apparently I fucked up a parentheses on one of the formulas. 36HP/76Def for Wailmer. |
