I tried to make my title like one of the RBY era anime episodes. Brings back some good memories... Anyway onto the team Chimchar (M) @ Focus Sash Ability: Blaze EVs: 58 HP/52 Atk/188 Spd/212 SAtk Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def) - Taunt - Stealth Rock - Overheat - U-turn A lead pokemon I came up with myself. When I first decided to get into LC I spent awhile finding a single pokemon with access to both taunt and stealth rock. Finally I found one, and here he is. This guy does a very nice job at scaring the shit out of the regular bronzor lead, and can also screw up slower set-up pokemon with taunt. Overheat is a very nice STAB attack, while U-turn can be useful in quite a few situations. I might go for Brick Break instead of U-turn if I find Brick Break more useful. --- Wynaut (M) @ Oran Berry Ability: Shadow Tag EVs: 76 HP/212 Def/212 SDef Bold nature (+Def, -Atk) - Counter - Mirror Coat - Safeguard - Encore The dreaded set-up Pokemon! While not exactly a set-up Pokemon himself, he is the force responsible for allowing my Stat-upping Pokemon to stat up in safety. Fairly standard ev's and moveset. He can also take down a Pokemon on my opponents team. --- Munchlax (M) @ Leftovers Ability: Thick Fat EVs: 236 HP/36 Def/236 SDef Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd) - Curse - Earthquake - Pursuit - Return The standard special wall of Little Cup (though for some reason I thought Happiny would be). I needed a decent special wall for my team and Munchlax does the job really well. --- Bronzor @ Oran Berry Ability: Levitate EVs: 220 HP/148 Def/68 SDef Sassy nature (+SDef, -Spd) - Gyro Ball - Earthquake - Light Screen - Reflect One of my favorite new pokemon that provides a much needed normal resist. For some reason Recycle was not listed as an option in the team builder so I put both Lscreen, and Reflect on him. Both are very useful support options and have made a heavy impact later on in the game. Since SR is already taken care of I am free to use Gyro Ball and EQ. --- Larvitar (M) @ Flame Orb Ability: Guts EVs: 36 HP/244 Atk/188 Spd Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Dragon Dance - Bite - Earthquake - Rock Slide TTars younger brother is a deadly sweeper in LC. While he lacks STAB Dark moves and Crunch I still chose Bite on him to hit Bronzor for neutral damage if the need were to arise. Guts + Flame orb is a deadly combo and after a DD (or 2 if I get lucky) this thing can sweep through an entire team. Rock Slide > Stone edge for accuracy (though 90% accuracy still manages to fuck me up all the time :(... ) --- Dratini (F) @ Life Orb Ability: Shed Skin EVs: 84 Atk/196 Spd/196 SAtk Mild nature (+SAtk, -Def) - Draco Meteor - Dragon Dance - Flamethrower - Outrage The deadly appletini... er I mean mixtini/lame joke Mixtini is a formidable force and provides me with some power in the special attacking area (something which I lack with the exception of Chimchar) After a DD (thanks Wynaut) Dratini is ready to kill with a STAB Outrage which so far has KO'ed everything not resisting it. Those that do resist it can be dealt with by my other pokemon. My Dratini has 19 HP allowing me 10 uses of LO before death. --- Edited by Kira, Jun 26 2008, 11:12 PM.

That Chimchar lead looks really good, I was trying to find something fairly fast with Taunt and Stealth Rock aswell, good job! Team seems to synergize well enough together. Only thing I'd say about Larvitar is that, with the abundance of priority moves around like Mach Punch/Ice Shard/ Vacuum Wave his sweep could easily be stopped. I'd opt for something like priority Croagunk, with Nasty Plot/Vacuum Wave/Sucker Punch/filler |

I will keep Toxicroak in mind. Thanks for the idea. And thanks for the compliment on my Chimchar lead. |

I'd say put on a Sash on Chimchar. It's not bulky enough to make good use of Oran, and it gets ruined by random Scarfed leads. |

Gligar Leads will be a pain because of Taunt. He can effectively take out most of the team. If you can, maybe have Ice Beam fit somewhere on the team to take him out. This may mean replacing a pokemon though =/ |

Well I haven't had too many problems with Gligar yet (or any for that matter) but if I find that they start sweeping my team I will fit ice beam on my team. And I will also put sash back on Chimchar (yes it was originally sashed) |

Post has been logged I think it'd be better to Flame Orb nad Rock Polish on Larvitar. He still gets boosted Attack (though less so) and then he has double the Speed too. Otherwise looks good to me. Welcome to LC! |
