Gligar (M) @ Oran Berry
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 236 HP/36 Def/236 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Taunt
- Rock Polish
- Baton Pass
- Ice Fang
---

Gligar is awesome as a Baton Passer. EVs are to balance defenses evenly. Taunt Bronzor or Weather leads, Rock Polish, and Pass that to something threatening. Substitute helps me get in the recipient, which is really hard to do. Ice Fang is for Murkrow and Diglett.

Clamperl (M) @ Deepseatooth
Ability: Shell Armor
EVs: 76 HP/180 Spd/248 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Brine
---

Clamperl is awesome. 36 SAtk is so good, and he won't be critted to death. It's very hard to get him in safely, but if I do you pretty much lose.

Cubone (M) @ Thick Club
Ability: Lightningrod
EVs: 36 HP/196 Atk/236 Spd/36 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Fire Punch
- Swords Dance
---

Physical Clamperl. While Swords Dance is almest never used, there have been a few instances when I could get one in. For example, a switch or Sucker Punch is an excellent opportunity to make Cubone's attack unbeatable. It's sad that he doesn't get a priority move. I pretty much have to eiminate Phanpy and Buizel if they're on the opponent's team.

Venonat (M) @ Oran Berry
Ability: Compoundeyes
EVs: 196 HP/116 Def/76 Spd/76 SDef
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Sleep Powder
- Agility
- Baton Pass
- Toxic Spikes / (Attack)
---

Venonat is such an excellent, underrated Pokémon. Compoundeyes Sleep Powder is awesome, letting me cripple a counter. Agility is great too, and then I can hopefully BP to Clamperl to take the Fire move. Toxic Spikes is pure filler, really; an attack should go there.

Chinchou (M) @ Oran Berry
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 236 HP/228 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Discharge
- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Confuse Ray
---

Just a general wall, really. Discharge isn't reliable, but I can try and get parafusion pulled off. I'm thinking of running Thunder Wave over Ice Beam just to ease the crippling powers. Possibly replacing with SubPetaya Starmie.

Wynaut (M) @ Oran Berry
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 76 HP/212 Def/212 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Counter
- Mirror Coat
- Encore
- Safeguard
---

I decided to test Wynaut out and he's really good. Gets me time to set up more often than not. Safeguard is mostly a support move.

TOP SCORE

This team is rather evil, however it has a huge weakness to one of the most common Pokemon in Little Cup. Murkrow simply rips it to shreds. I will show you how if you want.

Well the number 1 threat to this team is Lead Murkrow which runs Taunt/Drill Peck/Sucker Punch/Pursuit. He will outspeed gligar and taunt him effectively rendering gligar useless.

Next is Venonat. Thanks to Insomnia you can not sleep him with sleep powder and drill peck provides an easy ohko. You have to really hope you can pass a speed boost off to cubone or clamperl...

Unfortunately for those 2, Sucker Punch will really hurt them bad and you can expect to be drill pecked upon switching in so sucker punch will easily ko them. Wynaut will be taken out with Taunt and Sucker Punch.

Chinchou your only hope for survival is taken out by diglett the second most common Pokemon. Diglett also will take out clamperl and cubone if murkrow fails to.

So what we have here is a team incredibly weak to diglett and murkrow the 2 most common pokemon in the LC metagame...

Your best bet in my opinion is to add in a counter to these 2 somewhere over wynaut. Sure wynaut can set up an agility pass to cubone or allow cubone to SD once but then again that all he really does.

I think maybe a Onix could fit as it can easily counter murkrow. I would use scarf though to outspeed diglett and ohko.

Then you have SubPetaya Staryu. A risky option but if you can sub when they sucker punch you will easily ohko them without damage.
