Carvahna
[SET] name: Choice Band move 1: Aqua Jet/Waterfall move 2: Ice Fang move 3: Crunch move 4: Return item: Choice Band/Choice Scarf ability: Rough Skin nature: Jolly/Adamant evs: 76 HP/196 Atk/236 Spe [SET COMMENTS] Off of base 90 Attack, Carvahna can hit very hard with its Priority attack in Aqua Jet. Crunch is for dual STAB while Ice Fang grants a bit of type coverage. Return is simply the only physical attack left. [SET] name: Choice Specs move 1: Surf move 2: Ice Beam move 3: Dark Pulse move 4: Hidden Power [Fire] item: Choice Specs/Choice Scarf ability: Rough Sking nature: Timid/Modest evs: 236 SpA/236 Spe [SET COMMENTS] Base 45 Special Attack is nothing to laugh at. Basically a special version of the physical set, the special set doesn't get priority. HP Ground hits Electric-types that would normally hit you harder than you hit them. [SET] name: Mixvahna move 1: Aqua Jet move 2: Surf move 3: Ice Beam move 4: Crunch item: Life Orb ability: Rough Sking nature: Naive/Rash evs: 36 Atk/236 SpA/236 Spe [SET COMMENTS] This hits a majority of LC at least neutral. It deals major damage with priority and strong attacks from both ends of the spectrum. Two water moves may seem redundant, but a physical priority and a special will hit things a lot harder than you may think. [OTHER OPTIONS] Agility can be used on a Life Orb set to boost its mediocre speed. HP Fighting can be used to hit Munchlax harder, while Fire aids in the fight against Bronzor. [EVS] Always max out speed because of the rather averageness of it. Afterwards, boost its attacking stats. [OPINION] Carvahna's lack of speed is made up for with Aqua Jet, which just happens to be the strongest Aqua Jet in LC. It is a very potent attacker and is not the easiest thing to revenge kill. [COUNTERS] Without HP Fighting, Munchlax wall it, but without HP Fire Bronzor walls it. Diglett KOs with Earthquake, but Sucker Punch won't KO from Diglett or Murkrow. Croagunk resists the dark and ice attacks and absorbs the water attack and can leave a deal a lot of damage with Vacuum Wave, however, watch out for HP Fire. Paras can also absorb water attacks and deal damage with X-Scissor. Magnemite can come in and KO with Thunderbolt. ---------- Okay guys, reall need help with Counters on this one. Thanks much. EDIT: Oh, forgot to tell you guys: I'll be at the beach until Sunday/Monday depending on weather, so while I'm gone, I give mods permission to edit any and all of my analysises (not that you needed my permission, but just so you know). Croagunk resists both STAB attacks with Dry Skin and can OHKO with Vacuum Wave. (dunno if it is OHKO). HP Fire could cause it problems if predicted well. Paras also will enjoy absorbing Aqua Jets and can X-Scissor it, but might be 2HKO'd by Crunch. HP Fire obviously also scary. Magnemite has strong defence but I don't know whether it survives 2 Aqua Jets. Obviously it can OHKO. Any Quick Attack poke capable of switching into Aqua Jet will probably OHKO it too. Croagunk is a decent counter. Analysis lacks a lot of depth. You need 4/5 sentences per set, its acceptable to state the obvious. |
