I figured it was time that someone posted another RMT, so I am bringing out my long-overdue team for nitpicking and such. Without further adeu, I present my team! Snover @ Oran Berry Snow Warning Adamant 180 Atk/196 Spe/116 SpD Ice Shard Protect Leech Seed Wood Hammer Snover, my lead. It helps stir up some hail to help my attackers get some OHKOs and it breaks Sashes from the start, without my needing to waste my first turn setting up Stealth Rock. Ice Shard is some much needed priority on my team, and helps take care of opposing Gligar. Protect saves me from status or Fake-Out leads and helps stall for extra hail damage. Fire moves present a problem, but I can use them as an opening for my Houndour. Fighting moves are the same, but bring in my Misdreavus. Houndour @ Choice Scarf Flash Fire Modest 236 Spe/200 SpA/36 Def/36 SpD Dark Pulse Hidden Power Ground Flamethrower Overheat My hit and run pokemon and revenge killer #1. I usualy fire off an Overheat to hit the impending Munchlax switch, and sometimes end up hitting a Machop. If I expect a Houndour to switch in, I hit it with HP Ground or go to Mankey to scare it off. Not much else as this is standard Houndour. Mankey @ Choice Scarf Vital Spirit Jolly 36 HP/236 Atk/236 Spe Close Combat Ice Punch U-Turn Earthquake/Payback Revenge killer #2. I usually bring him out on sleep moves or rock attacks when I find them. Anyone who knows me know I often like to U-Turn out on turn one and figure out their Mankey counter and start beating on it to help Mankey with his revenging. I am considering switching Earthquake for Payback, as I never use Earthquake and Misdreavus usualy sees Mankey as setup fodder. Misdreavus @ Life Orb Levitate Hasty 240 SpA/240 Spe Shadow Ball Hidden Power Fighting Shadow Sneak Substitute Heysup's SubSneak Misdreavus and part of my defensive core, it's a good lure, bringing out and hurting it's counters. If I get in on it's immunities and manage to get up a Sub, Hail and Rocks make my HP Fighting a guaranteed 2HKO on all Munchlax barring Leftovers, which are considerably rare. Shadow Sneak helps Misdreavus take care of weakened things that are faster than her, expecting to take out one last pokemon before they go down. Gilgar @ Oran Berry Hyper Cutter Impish 156 HP/156 Atk/156 Def Earthquake Stealth Rock Roost Aqua Tail Gligar, the second part of my defensive core, and my physical wall and SR support. I set it up with a nice dynamc EV spread, allowing it to still take hits, but dish them out as well. with it's nice defense and Roost, I usually pull off SR every match, helping Misdreavus kill Munchlax even faster. Munchlax @ Leftovers Thick Fat Sassy 156 HP/156 Atk/36 Def/156 SpD Return Fire Punch Pursuit Protect Ah, good old Protectlax, Leftovers negate my Hail damage and Protect helps me scout their pokemon out and wittle them down with hail damage. It also saves me from SubSneak Misdreavus', so I can switch to an appropriate response and even keeps Munchlax safe from things exploding on him. Pursuit scares away all ghosts except said SubSneak Misdreavus, and it scares all of those away lacking a sub, Return is for STAB, and Fire Punch gives me coverage. I made my team with hail in mind, allowing my pokemon to net some key kills before Stealth Rock is up, a few more key kills when it is up, and it helps whittle down counters. Misdreavus doesn't like Hail + Life Orb + Sub sapping at her HP, but she does what she's needed for and usually helps with Shadow Sneak afterwards. Gligar and Munchlax are a bit more ofensive than the normal walling variants, but they don't die to things they wouldn't usually die to anyways as far as I've notices. Anyways, feel free to suggest any changes, or criticize as you see fit. Edited by Kannon, Jul 27 2009, 09:08 PM.

I haven't looked at this really indepth, but is Snover really neccessary? You don't benefit from it directly and its qualities could be bundled into a sturdy SR user. Unless you use Snover specifically for its attributes other than hail I'd replace it as it looks more like a hinderance. Also try Sub over Wood Hammer and see if you like it since it helps with Leech Seed stalling and gives you some ammo against slower pokemon like Bronzor who may not attack and scout with Protect or try to set up against you. Leftovers on Munchlax is not too good, you'll lose hard to LO Missy as you effectively have no healing and LO HP Fighting does over 50% damage so you are 2HKO'd where you wouldn't be with Oran. |

While Snover looks like it isn't needed, it works out well in practice, but i'll test out the changes you suggested. |
