If you have played on the LC ladder at all, chances are you have seen this team. A happy accident, the orignal team was just an experiment to see what happened in the speed intense LC metagame when one loads their team to the brime with priority moves. Many battles later and some very important goodies from Plats Move Tutor, it has evolved into a pretty solid team. Truth be told it is far from perfect, but its quirky style seems to work well with how I play.

Snover
Ability: Snow Warning
Nature: Adamant
Item: Oran Berry
EV
Att 196/Def 116/SpD 196
-Ice Shard
-Leech Seed
-Protect
-Wood Hammer

General Thoughts: Snover is an amazing lead. First off let me say this is not a hail team. Only Snover is immune to the effects of it and none of my other members carry blizzard. Though it is not based around the weather, hail is still incredibly useful. Focus sash is pretty much negated from the start, with the exception of the rare ice poke and cleff. Since Oran berry normally a better option than leftovers, its also a strong source of secoundary damage, making the lower BP priority much more effective at getting KOs. It also lets Snover shutdown other weather teams, particularly rain, whose water sweepers risk getting KOed by Snovers grass attack. Snover does bring more to table than just hail. Its bulk makes a pretty strong water counter and its STAB Ice Shards, typing, and ability makes it arguably the best Gligar counter in LC.

Move Selection
Ice Shard is its priority move and attack of choice in most situations. It gives a strong edge against the the many grounds present in LC, as well as the less common but just as dangerious fast flyers and dragons. Protect on a lead is a nobrainer, letting it absorb the very common fake out start. Protect also gives it great scouting ability, especially against the popular choice item carrying fighter types. Leech Seed has become very valuable after Platinums release. A large selection LCs pokes can now wield Sucker Punch and Leech Seed lets Snover exploit the opening it gives. With hail and protect it also gives snover some semi-stall ability. Wood Hammer is the least used moved of the bunch, but its high BP combined with STAB ensures any water will drop if its hit it. It is also is used to OHKO hippo leads, who have enough bulk to survive Ice Shards and a few other more fragile leads like Voltorb.

Croagunk
Ability: Dry Skin
Nature: Mild
Item: Life Orb
IV: HP 3
EV
Att 188/ Spd 132/SpA 188
-Fake Out
-Vacuum Wave
-Ice Punch
-Hidden Power Psychic

General Thoughts: Croagunk is probably the teams best revenge killer. A flinch from fake out followed by a Vacuum Wave in hail will take a chunk out of anything that doesnt resist it. Croagunk is also a fantastic water counter, especially against rain sweepers, choice item holders and most Aqua Jet users. Besides its obvious counters, Croagunk also acts as a secoundary counter to Croagunk when Gligar is gone, Resisting almost all Gunks normal movesets and OHKOing back with HP Psychic

Move Selection
Fake Out/Vacuum Wave is its go to combo and is pretty self explanitory. Ice Punch can be a nasty surpise for Gligars who switch in as well as ghosts trying to take advantage of immunity to either Fake Out or Vaccum Wave. HP psychic is predominantly only used on other Gunks, but can occasionally nail Ghastlys and take out the rare poisons or fighters who wouldnt just be KOed by the Fake Out/Vacuum Wave Combo.

Misdreavus
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Hasty
Item: Oran Berry
EV
Att 196/Def 72/Spd 240
-Shadow Sneak
-Protect
-Will-O-Wisp
-Hidden Power Fighting

General thoughts: For the longest time I used Shuppet for my Shadow Sneak user, since it had a stronger attack stat and immunity to sleep. However faster shadow claw and bite users where seriously hampering it. Though it has a weaker SS, being faster with a stronger HP Fighting and ground immunity has more than made up for it. Missy is predominantly used for her immunities, especially since this team has many pokes weak to either fighting or ground. Missy is excellent at taking out ghosts and psychics should Houndour fall as well as most normals, even Munchlax thanks to its move set.

Moveset
Shadow Sneak provides the priority attack. Hidden Power combined with Ghosts gives it unresitable coverage. Will-O-Wisp survies two purpose. It lets Missy Beat Munchlax. Thanks to Hail and Protect missy just need to wisp it when it pursuits and, assuming its not too weak or haxed, stall with protect until hail and burn puts it in range to be KOed by HP fighting. Wisp Protect also acts like Snovers Seed Protect against Sucker Punchers, which is even more valuable in Missy's case.

Kabuto
Ability: Battle Armor
Nature: Adamant
Item: Oran Berry
EV
Att 196/Def 196/Spd 76
-Aqua Jet
-Waterfall
-Stealth Rocks
-Earth Power

General Thoughts: The teams water priority user, SR suppory and its also a pretty effective tank against Normals not carrying fight moves or EQ. It can take resisted hits from Ice, Fire, and Rock which other valuable members of the team are very vulnerable too. There really isnt much more to say. It takes hits and dishes out damage and thats all its really designed to do.

Move List
Aqua Jet for the obvious prioity. Waterfall is when it needs to hit harder. Stealth Rocks generally gets set up on a switch. Earth Power was its best boost from Platinum, proving a much more effect ground attack than HP Ground. Its predominantly used against Croagunks on the switch and is surprisngly effective since ground will KO rock and fire you can use it against these types without risk if they dont switch Gunk doesnt switch in. EP can also catch cocky Gunks trying to set up or if they predict the switch to Gligar, Kabuto will take negligable damage from the Ice attack. Sadly, this moveset is completly walled my Manteky but its a small price to pay.

Houndor
Ability: Flash Fires
Nature: Jolly
Item: Muscle Band
EV
Att 196/Def 76/Spd 236
-Sucker Punch
-Fire Fang
-Crunch
-Beat Up

General Thoughs: Houndor has STAB on the strongest priority move in the game as well as a resistance to the same move that alone gives him reason on this team. Houndour sort of acts as a catch all, dealing with the more uncommon types in LC, namely Ice, Steel, Psychic and Grass. His fire immunity comes into play more than his psychic but both have proved valuable to the team. I choose muscle band for his item because I found he was to fragile for a berry to be very useful and in hail and 2nd life orb user was to much of a liability.

Move List
-Sucker Punch is by far his most commonly used move. Fire Fang normally only comes up against things vulnerable to fire, which is not that common and because pokes that resist Dark will probably be able to KO you before you can attack. Crunch gives it insurance against Sucker Punches 2 major weakness, switches and nonattacking move. Missy's love testing the waters against Houndor by first setting up a sub and were a real pain until I discovered his last move. For the longest time I couldnt really find a 4th move I was happy with, until I remembered Deck Knights Beat Up guide. Beat up is a fantasic surpise early game. Houndor Sucker Punch forces switches and Beat Up typless damage can put the hurt on anything that switches meaning even if they dont get KOed by it, they are almost always in range of a Sucker Punch KO. It also dramatically helps against the previously mentioned Missy sub. While Missys almost alway sub first against houndor, the secound round is a dangerious prediction game where missy could either sub up again or go for the kill with HP Fighting. Beat Up ensures this isnt an issue by going through the sub the first time and inflicting enough damage so it cant sub again. However Beat Up becomes less useful as the match goes on forcing it to go back to Fire Fang and Crunch to save it from Sucker Punch mispredict.

Gligar
Ability: Sand Veil
Nature: Adamant
Item: Oran Berry
EV

-Earthquake
-Quick attack
-Aerial Ace
-Aqua Tail
Att 236/Spd 236/Spd 36
General Thoughts: Gligar is a fantastic tank and an powerful counter against a whole mess of pokemon. As mentioned earlier, this team has several pokemon weak to fighting and ground and, like Missy, Gligar protects against these threats. Gligar bulk also lets it take neutral hits very well and STAB on Earthquake on an 18 attack stat isnt something to ignore.

Movelist
Earthquake is a nobrainer on Gligar and is his attack of choice in most causes. Quick Attack provides more priority, which lets Gligar deal at least some damage when his time is up against a faster opponent. Aqua Tail is there mainly to counter other Gligars incase Snover has already been KOed but is also useful against certain bulky ground and Bronzor. Aerial Ace is because Croagunks almost always flee to flying ghosts to protect them. I prefer to use this move against the switch because, A) it wont miss unlike Aqua Tail so it will at least do some damage to the ghost and B) should the gunk decide to stay in I wont heal it and risk getting KOed by an Ice attack.

Overall Team Strategy
This team is designed to take advantage of its unorthadox style to build up momentum early game. Once it gets one or 2 kills it generally just starts sacrificing pokes to deal out priority damage and then send in the approprate revenge killer and repeat the sacrifice again. Thanks to priority and hail I dont have to worry about walking into sashes, speed boost sweeps or scarfs. Games very commonly end up with me on my last or secound to the last poke. You may notice that this team doesnt have hard counters to certain major OU LCer, like Elekid, however it gets around this weakness by using hail damage and priority to dent them so they get set up to be revenged kill by other pokes.

Weakness
This team lives and dies by its momentum and prediction. While the team has a contingency against most strategies should the main counter be taken out, if it loses the contigency as well and the team isnt ahead in total numbers it will collapse by the vulnerabilites that open up. Prediction also cost this team much more than most, as moves like protect and Sucker Punch can be taken advantage of for set ups and ,since pretty much every member is fragile in someway, a smart opponent can nail for SE KO pretty safetly in the right circumstance.

Good team, but I'm sad that not a single Pokemon on your team is actually using the move Me First.

I think I am a faggot twice
Man, I played this just once, and I was completely overwhelmed by it. That 6-0 was amazing

I think having unorthodox sets here is one of your biggest advantages, for example, getting burned by Missy and being hit by waterfall by a "tank" kabuto. Its also interesting how EVERY SINGLE MON on your team has a priority move :P
Just one thing, you could try a Hippo lead as A) You get another moveslot for Kabuto, preferably Rock Slide to prevent Mantyke walling and B) Kabuto and Gligar would have some sort of advantage. As of now, no poke takes advantage of Hail so its just a thought, but really youd know better considering you're the one who is actually using it

oh, and i hope you dont mind some of us using your teams with a few modifications :P

P.S. come online to #littlecup

Hey, what's up?

There isn't much to say here other than excellent team. Keep Snover, it really helps vs Gligar while Hippo gives you a weakness to it. Your only weakness really are Life Orb priority sweepers that outspeed yours. Elekid, from my experience, really puts a dent in your team. However, there isn't much you can do about that.

P.S. You missed the EVS on Houndour.

I think that this is one of the best team that i see. Only one suggestion: try roost over sedge/aace on gligar, really.

put hyper cutter over sand veil on gligar, put swift swim over battle armor on kabuto.

GoldenKnight says hi

This is the best team ever built, imo. It was the first team to give me trouble when I was using that old Immunity team.
Actual rate coming later.

22nd Time is always the Charm
question is it me or have you said spd as special defence and speed at the same time...

like on the gligar set: Att 236/Spd 236/Spd 36

and on the "stall" missy type with Spd could mean Special Defence or Speed (more likely speed with the hidden power but still, to people who are starting it could be confusing) set: Att 196/Def 72/Spd 240
22nd Time is once again the Charm
