Parts of Role Playing: Ok well Role playing is made up of three main parts; speech, thoughts and actions. Just like in everyday life you do move around and think. Actions Are denoted by being placed in and asterisk. ( *He walks into the room and sits in his favorite chair by the fire* ) Thoughts Are denoted by being placed between two colons. ( ::Hmm......what should i do today?:: ) Speech Is denoted by nothing, just normal lettering is for speach ( Hi guys ). A good post comprises of all these elements, for example: *he walks into the room and takes a seat, in his favorite chair, as he reads a book that he borrowed from the library* ::This book is rather interesting:: *he marks the page* Ill save this for later, i think im gonna go outside for a while *he closes the book and leaves the room and goes outside* However your post doesnt have to be like that, it can be just as simple as a single sentance. Also, story book form is also allowed. OOC Another thing you may do is coment Out of Character, or OOC, these are denoted by parenthisis such as (hey guys im going to the movies tonight ill be back after a while) Rules about Role Playing: 1. You DO NOT know anything about whats happened in a room until you enter the room, and to enter the room you have to post that your char enters the room. 2. Most rooms are fine to just walk into, however if you think someone is in a plot, ask before walking into the room. 3. You WILL NOT post anything, pornographic in anyway, that means ANYTHING in reference to sex. It WON'T be tolorated. There will be no warnings given, you will be banned right away. Those are the only rules we have for right now, if we find something else that needs a rule we will make one but we dont want to so keep it clean please people. |
