Starting Friday, the Toyota All-Star Showdown will hit the formerly-named Irwindale Speedway for their qualifiers, and quite possibly their "support class" will also race.

But, starting Saturday morning, the 24 Hours of Sunset Peninsula Daytona kicks off with a very respectable field, considering the lack of money for racing over here in Oregon.

And Saturday night, immediately following Saturdays 24 coverage, is the actual Toyota NASCAR Allstar Showdown, which in my opinion is the best race in NASCAR of the whole season. No big names, no Cup stars, but lots of racers going all out in a desperate hailmary attempt to make the most of their only live TV race of the year.
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, “You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I’m just not close enough to get the job done.” - George Carlin

I definitely understand what those posts are supposed to mean.
Drifting: A popular winter pastime for people who don't have snowmobiles.
