Discuss the awesome cars ITT.

Personally I'm just happy I have that channel, a month ago I didn't.

Having watched many hours of Barrett Jackson, as it becomes addictive, I can sum up what you'll see like this...

During the weekdays, expect rather ordinary cars highlighted by some obscure (rare, but not widely popular) and on the weekend expect the popular cars (Corvette, Hemis, Camaro, Shelby, etc) highlighted with uber rare exotics and concept cars.

Think of the Community Choice DLC during the week, and Legends Pack all weekend.

And IIRC, SPEED's coverage starts Tuesday.

I didn't, but then Dad went and bought an HDTV, and had to get the cable guys to hook up an HD box, and they gave him nearly every HD channel free for a few months. In a few months I probably won't have Speed again.

Nah, man. Saturday mornings on SPEED is BTCC time. I'd recommend watching that if you're even remotely into racing. A bunch or cockney Brits thrashing around Chevys (yes, Chevy), Fords (yes, Ford), Hondas, and BMWs.

Eh. I know he wouldn't be as interested in those.

Eh. I know he wouldn't be as interested in those.
But I am well known as a BMW fan . . .

Damn, they make some of the worst pieces of shit to come from any country other than France, Italy, Britain, Sweden, and Asia.

^ Then you'd enjoy watching them get beat down by Chevys and Fords, which is what they've been doing lots of lately.

Back on topic... I flipped by BJ a few times yesterday, and the early week days at the auction always baffle me, as I find myself liking the oddball stuff. I think my fave of the night was a deep blue 1964 Falcon Woodie Wagon.

Mustangs, Camaros, Chevelles, etc, and a Falcon Wagon is what caught my attention? That's just weird.

yeah I saw that one too, nice car but I've always thought woodies looked inherently ugly. The roof rack didn't help either . . .

My fave was the Chevy 3100 Panel Truck that went for something like 37 grand. Well done, and I've always been a lover of trucks from the '40s and '50s. Even the non-GM ones. Mercury trucks will always have a place in my heart.

Last night was a good time to be a fan of C3 Corvettes and Hot Rod Pickups.

Every time I flipped to SPEED, it was one or the other. Expect more C1 and C2 the next couple days.

Some cool stuff, for a whole lot less money than it would have gone for back in 2004-2008.
