From Jayski's NASCAR site: Travis Pastrana heading to NASCAR? many reports out there that Travis Pastrana will leave Subaru Rally Team USA and head to NASCAR, supposedly siging with Michael Waltrip Racing / Diamond Waltrip Racing, supposedly running either the NASCAR K&N Racing Series or Nationwide Series in 2011. Supposedly Pastrana posted an image on his Twitter [but has since removed it] and an announcement could come as soon as Thursday. A few sites reporting this 'news' include: CBS Sports, NASCAR Examiner, AutoBlog.com [with an image of the car], SpeedFreaks and AutoWeekRacing.(11-10-2010) |

Danica and Pastrana have very different backgrounds. She was in Indycars, which damn near drive themselves, and he did five years of rally, which is all about car control. I think he'll do much better than her because of that, plus rather than jump straight into the number two series on the NASCAR system, he's starting out with a year of the short tracks from what I have heard, which means he'll get the experience that she skipped along the way. |

I think he got bored with Rally, as it is more against the clock than other competitors. |
