Note: "Buick LeSabre Race Car" turned up no good results. I suppose a LeSabre from 1970 might be decent, but I can find better Civics anyways.

And you would rather drive the Civic because you think it's fast? You're both wrong, and have awful taste in cars.

I know for a fact you couldn't afford to upgrade it yourself, and the grudge match cars are STOCK, meaning the Buick is far faster.

Civic. The squishy ride of Buicks and the like either put me to sleep if i am driving, or make me sick if I am a passenger. IDK if I will ever live to be old enough to appreciate a car specifically designed for the elderly.

And well yes, the Buick may have more power, and maybe even top speed, but with its weight, and not even close to a performance option in sight, you'll go through a full tank of gas just getting up to its top speed of just over 100 MPH.

civic. my grandpa has the EXACT same car in the pic trav posted. the thing is actually pretty quick (driven it hundreds of times) but the HORRID suspension and boaty feel is terrible.

i driv 240zs and GTIs, so big cars will never get my vote.

I have owned everything from a Chrysler Cordoba, to a 1GMC pickup, to a Datsun 510, to a Neon. Big cars can be made to handle very well, but a stock pseudo-luxury car just is not going to take turns any better than a midsize RV. My 1977 Buick Regal canyon racer was the ultimate sleeper on Mulhulland Drive, but took a lot of work and race car suspension parts as well as a set of slicks to get that way.

Are you calling a Regal a luxury car? Those things were only built for one thing: Straight line speed.

New match: Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 vs. Chevrolet Trailblazer SS vs. Ford Explorer LTD V8

Inspired, of course, by the recent DLC announcement.

I would do some more research to get you stats on the vehicles but I'm too lazy.

Jeep has about 425hp, Chevy is closer to 400, Ford is around 300. All are AWD.

No, you're supposed to pick the one you like best.

At any rate, no one seems too interested in this topic, I think I'll stop posting new battles myself, though others may feel free to post more battles (try to run them for 24-48 hours, only one at a time, and post the result when you're done.)

If anyone DOES post their own battle, I'll update the OP from time to time with winners.

No it was a good thread, but two factors came into play: site got real slow this weekend, and not as much SUV love as you thought there was.

Sorry for being such a dick about it... its a SUV aversion thing. But since I have gotten the go ahead to post, I'll try to revive the thread.
