On the veto of the increase in SSS pension, The Manila Times says:
ICYMI: This is how much SSS officials make in a year, despite the dismal 38% collection efficiency rate of the SSS. This is from the COA 2014 report on salaries and allowances. Posted Image WOW! Ang dami nilang Vice Presidents! Saw these in Facebook: "In case you're wondering, here's how much Aquino's appointees in the SSS were paid in 2013. From the COA's annual report on salaries and allowances." Posted Image Ferdinand Gaite: This Commissioner Ibarra Malonzo (who supposedly "represents" the workers in the SSS Board) is the same person who opposed the increase of the SSS pensions. But of course he did not oppose his humongous "allowances". (Ako: ...and he represents the workers? Anong silbi niya?) Senior citizens definitely don't like the smell of this, especially after those FAT BONUSES to SSS bigwigs. Are pensioners a threat to administration candidates? They are only a small portion of the electorate. From https://t.co/HXhVHgzDno
Carlos Maningat says SSS invests in Philex, UnionBank, PLDT. These companies are linked to De Quiros & other SSS execs. Read Eiler Phils report on SSS and its investment scheme here: https://t.co/HXhVHgzDno Pres Aq uino: If we approve SSS pension hike, fund life will be reduced by 15 yrs. 2028 and 2029 pensioners will not be able to receive anything. See this infographic for more details: http://www.gov.ph/images/uploads/Infographic_SSSBenefitsVetoENGLISH_160118_1146-02.png Carlos Maningat counters:
Do we know how much revenues the SSS gets from their investments? Does the SSS rely solely on members' contributions to fund pensions? What about the revenues from their investments? Posted Image Some say the SSS total revenues amount to P160 billion annually on average, way bigger than the projected annual payout of P56 billion for SSS pensioners. But this doesn't tell the same story: Posted Image Saw this on Facebook:
Cong. Neri Colmenares asked colleagues in Congress to override PN*y's veto of bill increasing SSS pension. He was ignored. Majority of our congressmen are beholden to PN*y http://assets.rappler.com/612F469A6EA84F6BAE882D2B94A4B421/img/E8476F92D6854A87AF835688DF6DE065/netizens-react-aquino-veto-sss-pension-increase-20160114.jpg Why didn't Congress just appropriate money to increase the pension and use SSS as a conduit? PN*y refused to adjust the income tax rate, now he vetoes the increase on SSS pension but he increased by twofold the CCT program. If he can find the fund for CCT and his billion peso discretionary fund, can’t he at least allocate some fund for SSS pensioners? How can anybody live on a P1200 or P2400/month pension? Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image :sopbox: WOW! Ang GAGALING nila when taking care of themselves. Posted Image Think-tank IBON said that government can very well source funding for the Php2,000 pension hike which PN*y vetoed.
