This thread is about BEFORE-and-NOW statements or unspoken acts by public figures (celebrities, politicians, govt officials, pr3sidents, and people in the news) that contradict each other. For example:

Mr. Contrarian?

BEFORE: During GMA's term "Black & White Movement" led by Leah Navarro opposed the proposed P5 BILLION CCT program of Arroyo.

NOW: Ironic that it is now P65 BILLION under Dinky Soliman. Leah Navarro's group is awfully quiet about it now. Did anyone get greased or somehow develop selective amnesia? Nagtatanong lang naman! PN0Y bragged about the CCT program as if increasing the dole out from taxpayers money is a good thing. It's not even his brainchild.

PORK - Before & Now

BEFORE: In 2004 (as reported by Phil. Daily Inquirer): 'Scrap all pork' - What opposition solons said about pork, 10 years ago.

NOW: Congressmen, Senators & Cabinet members now are addicted to pork. They will bend over backwards to keep it coming by creating laws to legalize it or to conceal it. In 2012, House of Representatives received P20.1 billion while 21 senators received P4.1 billion in PDAF funds. P127.0 Billion DAP funds were spent in the past two years under PN0Y. So, ANYARE? They forgot their old mantra?

Former Senator Joker Arroyo said that DBM Secretary Abad should explain to the Filipino people on how P75.0 Billion and P55.0 Billion of DAP funds were spent in 2011 and 2012, respectively. When the President sought to differentiate DAP from PDAF, he said that unlike PDAF, DAP did not end up in the pockets of lawmakers and bogus NGOs. But Colmenares questions how the President can be certain DAP funds were not misused. “They’ll say, hindi naman ninakaw yan. Hindi mo nga ma-account eh, how can you say hindi ninakaw yan?” asked Colmenares. A previous report had linked four senators to the misuse of the DAP. :bravo: ...Sometimes I just wonder how it got this bad.

SMOKING… A THERAPY for COUGH

BEFORE: As health concerns emerged over smoking, the tobacco industry responded with claims about the benefits of cigarettes. Some promised to ‘pick you up’, to keep you slim, and even protect against sore throats and coughs. :sneer: What a SPIN! :rolleyes2:
(FULL DISCLOSURE: I started smoking at age 16. I no longer.)

NOW: ‘Smoking being related to cancer and heart disease are now supported by many clinical and anecdotal evidence which are hard to refute. Even cigarette labels carry a warning from the Surgeon General (in the U.S.) or DOH (in Pinas) about the dangers of smoking. Here's a THROWBACK from the bygone years:

BEFORE: People were saying Samsung Note is an unwieldy beast...too big. Haters will hate.

NOW: The bigger (than iPhone 5) iPhone 6 is being praised & loved (by the same people who hated Samsung Note) and people are paying mega-bucks for it. Haters of bigger tablets suddenly silent. ANYARE?

BTW, CONGRATULATIONS on YOUR WEALTH, everyone THAT PURCHASED the new iPhone 6!! :OK: I can barely afford regular apples! hehehe

Someone twitted this:
Quote:

I'm on the train and this dude next to me is having a hard time using his iPhone 6+ with one hand ...hahaha

AHA! Apple didn't think of that when they created iPhone 6. :pataymali:

NOW: May mga dilaw na nagsasabing shame campaign daw yung ginagawa ni Digong in reporting the names of people involved in the drug trade.

BEFORE: Wala silang sinabi noong na-trial by publicity sina GMA, Binay, FG, et al.? Idagdag nyo yung ginawa ni Ngoyngoy kay Kabayan Noli at kay late CJ Corona! Si Reyes din, diba?

MY COMMENT: Shaming? Di ba expertise yan ng mga dilaw? Tayo ngang mga ordinaryong mamamayan were shamed just for supporting DU30. Mga epok na dilaw naglipana. Ngayon nawalan sila ng gatasan. Posted Image

Posted Image

NOW: The YELL0WS & BLEEDING HEARTS are condemning DU30 in publicly naming drug protectors like policemen, judges, etc.

BEFORE: These same "do-gooders" clapped Benito Boy Sisi and DE5 when both shamed Arroyo, the 3 senators (Jinggoy, Enrile & Ramon Revilla Jr), and Napoles and her family before bringing them to court??

MY COMMENT: I'm amazed at these people's hypocrisy. Funny how a lot of brainless twerps proclaim the end of the world coz of Du30's exposes. But when Boy SISI was bringing shame yearly - silence.Posted Image

TODAY: Pres. Duterte was humble enough to apologize to CJ Sereno after realizing his mistake.

BEFORE: PNoy thought he was always right. Fingerpointing was his trademark to blame others of his failures.

Unlike the Aquinos and their yellow partners marunong mahiya si Presidente Duterte.
President Duterte:
Quote:

I do not use government money when I go home.

Sen Alan Peter Cayetano:
Quote:

Dati ang takot tao. Ang hindi takot kriminal.
Ngayon, ang kriminal ang takot. Ang tao, ang mga mamamayan hindi po takot.

ME: Ain't that the truth?
Elitism does not depend on wealth, but on mindset.

Aba teka, wala nga ata. :ngisi:

Teddy Locsin Jr.: (In cases of disasters or terrorist attacks in which govt forces die or get hurt) Duterte is there when the debris is still flying. What a contrast (to Aqu*no).

Duterte for real treats Filipinos as his boss.
Noynoy was just humoring Filipinos when he said "Kayo ang BOSS ko."
WEH! :rolleyes2:

Duterte is stark contrast to his predecessor who said he'll no longer listen to critics.
"Do not hesitate to criticize me," Duterte tells journalists.
