Ryan is several steps to the right of Stalin. His hot issues are:
- reduce or eliminate corporate taxes
- eliminate Planned Parenthood, the National Park Service, HUD, OSHA and he has even suggested the Department of Education
- amend the constitution so that all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others
- make Internet access competitive (Republican-speak for not free) to stimulate corporate interest
- reform Social Security and Medicare (with a machete until they are gone)

Alive and well is the GOPers BIG LIE – Social Security does not add ONE CENT to the deficit, and Medicare works. Without them, the cost both financially and morally would be inestimable – unless we get comfy watching our Seniors go through garbage, be homeless and die on our sidewalks.

What is wrong with these GOPers. Seriously. How did so many get so harsh and so frigging stupid? This is the most intellectually dishonest and intellectually-challenged bunch of panderers I have ever seen.

The largest and most comprehensive misinformation and fear campaign in American history has been launched by the Republican't Party. I'll give them credit though for doubling the staff at FactCheck.orgFactCheck.org. The monsoon of lies is beyond anything we have seen or could possibly imagine. FactCheck is non-partisan and absolutely incorruptible by any blowhard.

Here are some of their more bogus claims - you may see them in TV ads with Governor Pataki representing 'Revere America' (I swear Massachusetts has to start suing these slugs for stealing names from our revolutionary heroes and events) yet another 501(c)4 organization who does not have to reveal who they are or where the money comes from in the slime tradition of 'Americans for Prosperity' and othe Koch projects.

-The law creates "longer waits in doctors’ offices" and that "your right to keep your own doctor may be taken away."
LIE. There is no reason whatsoever to think that anything about it will have this effect.
-The health care law is "government-run health care."
LIE. It builds on our current private health care system and expands business for private insurers.
- Health care costs will go up.
LIE. Costs are predicted decrease slightly from where they normally would be. And for many others, federal subsidies will offset premium increases.
- The new health care law kills jobs.
LIE. TOTAL FEAR MONGERING BULLSHIT. Not worth a word more, this crap is just politics at it's worst
- The 'Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act' will cut a gazillion dollars from Medicare and establish a board to ration care ('death panel').
LIE AND LIE. The Independent Payment Advisory Board is 15 people who are economists, Doctors, Nurses and Health Care persons. They have no power to ration, raise premiums or kick your dog.
- It will cause the biggest Tax increase in history for people making less than $100,000 a year.
LIE. There will be NO, NADA, ZERO tax increase on anyone making less than $500,000 a year but a modest increase to those making over $500,000. The increase is dwarfed by increases done in the Nixon, Ford, Reagan and Bush the First administrations.
-Small Businesses can't afford it.
LIE. Small businesses are not mandated to provide insurance, but those with more than 50 employees can receive incentives that make the plan affordable if they so choose.

They are either dumb f*cks or they know THEY ARE LYING TO YOU.
Don't let these creeps get away with it.

The fact is that out of 10 employees of an average Insurance company, 7 are paid to find ways to NOT cover you. Under the new law, NO MORE.
IC could drop you if you become sick. NO MORE.
If a condition pre-existed, you would not be covered. NO MORE.
If you lost your job you would lose your insurance. NO MORE.

It's the best legislation to come out of the White House in 50 years.

GOPers shouldn't be elected they should be arrested.

Romney pays between 14 and 15 % tax. Ryan pays between 16 and 20 % tax. Both are wealthy men yet they are in two lowest of the six tax brackets.

How can this possibly come about? Surely their income (especially Romney's) must be huge.

Incidentally Obama pays 20.5 % and Biden 23.2%.

Old saying: Money goes where money is.

If you discount animal abuse, predatory capitalism (leveraged buyouts, taking over companies by borrowing against their own assets, stripping them of resources, firing workers, busting unions and getting rid of workers' pensions), multimillion dollar annual pensions (which he pays minimal taxes on due to tax shelters and hiding his money in foreign tax havens such as Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Luxembourg, and Switzerland), and demanding a wall to keep out immigrants, even though he has hired illegals to care for his estates for 10 years, then...MITT IS JUST LIKE YOU AND ME:
http://www.whatmittpays.com/

...OR SO HE IS PAYING HUGE BUCKS FOR YOU TO BELIEVE HIM.

Romney wants Roe V. Wade to be defended, he wants women, minorities and Gay people to have the same rights as everyone else, he wants the Boy Scouts to accept kids regardless of sexual orientation, he wants Universal Health Care for everyone in the country...wow , he is perfect!!

Oh wait....that was in 1994...

Mitt Romney “jokingly” observed that “no one’s ever asked to see my birth certificate” as he once again pandered to “birthers” and their racist conspiracy theory. But TV commentators rushed to put down any suggestion that Romney is a racist. But is he? Romney’s decision to directly enlist himself in the birther movement should give pause to any rational voter across America. Rush Limbaugh played the comments during his radio show and noted, “Right on, right on, right on.” Typical! LMAO! Not so fast, Mittens! People may not be asking for your birth certificate but they are asking that you release your tax returns for the last 10 years but you have not done that.

ABC News reports:
Quote:

The private equity firm founded by Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney made use of arcane techniques in several of its Cayman Islands-based funds to avoid U.S. taxes, according to a trove of Bain Capital's private audit and finance records made public on the website Gawker Thursday.

The audited financial statements of one of the Cayman Islands funds make note of the use of "blocker" entities, which are used to help retirement accounts and nonprofit entities avoid some taxes. Financial statements for another fund note that it "intends to conduct its operations so it will … not be subject to United States federal income or withholding tax..."

Those details emerge on the statements of two funds in which Romney still holds a sizeable investment, according to the financial disclosure statements he filed when he announced his bid for president.

Hey Mitt, why aren't you running for president of the Cayman Islands?

People like Romney and his supporters dearly love a good lie if it benefits their bottom line. The tax liabilities fall right on middle class when the fat cats like Romney and Ryan dodge their obligations. We all want to pay less taxes, BUT we'd like it to happen above board and not behind tax loopholes and shady dealings. Moving profits to banks outside the US and not paying taxes on money earned in the US is the definition of "shady dealings." Obama has peanuts compared to Romney. Obama is a millionaire as is almost everyone else in Congress except Biden. Romney is richer than Obama by hundreds of millions. Obama, Reid and Pelosi are all millionaires. The difference between them and Romney is that they are willing to pay higher taxes to benefit the country. And the reason that you know they are millionaires is because they release their tax records. People only hide things if they have something to hide. Why would anyone want a man for president that puts and invests his money in foreign banks? Ever hear the saying, 'put your money where your mouth is', Mittens? Romney's actions contradict his words. To justify the actions of those who do what's "legal" because they're able to get away with it is like saying it's okay when people get away with a crime because of a technicality. The law (or what's legal) isn't always ethical, and frankly, it would be nice to have someone in the White House who was actually ethical and didn't fall back on the "it's legal" argument to justify actions that leave a bad taste in the mouth because they're able to take advantage of loopholes because they're wealthy enough to do so. That's not the American way. If the wealthy avoid all their taxes it drops on the working class, or we don't have teachers, firefighters or police. They already are paying much less than 30 years ago. From 1950 to 1961 the top tax bracket paid 91%, from 1961 to 1980 it was 70%. We've let them grind the Middle Class for far too long.

Is Mitt Romney a Racist? (Excerpts)
By Robert Parry
http://consortiumnews.com/2012/08/25/is-mitt-romney-a-racist/

U.S. media pundits were quick to reassure the American people that – despite a tasteless "joke" referring to the racist lie that Barack Obama was born in Kenya – Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is surely no racist. We were told it was just an unfortunate off-the-cuff attempt at humor. But is that true?

Romney may not be a crude racist, the sort who would dress up in white sheets and burn crosses on someone's lawn. But America has had a long – and equally grim – history of country-club racists whose personal contempt toward blacks, Hispanics, Arabs and other dark-skinned people is cloaked in more genteel phrasing.

The Republican presidential candidate more fits that mold. In his book, No Apology, Romney delved into academic theories about the alleged cultural inferiority of Mexicans and Palestinians.

Romney praised the writings of Harvard professor David Landes, who in Wealth and Poverty of Nations said "culture makes all the difference."

Saeb Erekat, a top aide to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, told The Associated Press that Romney's comment was "a racist statement" and ignorant of the facts.

"This man doesn't realize that the Palestinian economy cannot reach its potential because there is an Israeli occupation," Erekat said. "It seems to me this man lacks information, knowledge, vision and understanding of this region and its people."

Romney's campaign denied that his remark was intended to slight the Palestinians. But there's no doubt that when you say that one nation thrives because of its superior culture that means that another one fails because of its deficient culture. For the Palestinians, that assessment is particularly offensive since much of their poverty relates directly to the harsh conditions from decades of Israeli occupation, including barriers to outside trade.

A Pander to Birtherism

Similarly, Romney showed no regard to the racial dimensions of the "birther" controversy in which right-wingers have claimed that President Obama was born in Kenya despite the state of Hawaii releasing his birth certificates showing he was born in Hawaii, a fact verified by contemporaneous birth announcements in local newspapers.

On Friday, speaking in his native Michigan and standing alongside his wife Ann, Romney said, "Now I love being home in this place where Ann and I were raised, where both of us were born. Ann was born in Henry Ford Hospital. I was born in Harper Hospital. No one's ever asked to see my birth certificate. They know that this is the place that we were born and raised.”" After the "punch line," Romney paused to take in the appreciative laughter and applause from his predominantly white audience.

Though Romney’s remark drew immediate criticism from commentators, many were just as quick to add that Romney is no racist. But it is often true that people demonstrate their racism or other bigotry through humor. Especially in more refined circles, it is considered a more acceptable way to disparage a racial or ethnic group.

A key point of No Apology is to disparage President Obama for supposedly "apologizing" for America, though Romney is short of specifics as to exactly what Obama has said that would constitute an apology, rather than just the occasional recognition that the U.S. government hasn’t always been perfect.

Yet, one of the ways the United States clearly has fallen short of its finest ideals has been in the history of white supremacy and the callousness toward the harm done to non-whites. Romney’s book – and his "joke" on Friday – puts him in the camp with white supremacists, a place where he has chosen to be.

By noting, accurately, that no one has asked for his birth certificate, Romney also recognized that – as a white man from a prominent family – his Americanism is beyond question. The same is not true for an African-American with a "foreign-sounding" name like Barack Hussein Obama.

It is ironic, however, that neither Romney nor Obama had fathers who were born in the United States. Romney’s father, George Romney, was born in Mexico where his polygamous Mormon grandfather had fled to escape American laws against a man taking multiple wives. Obama’s father was from Kenya.

Yet, the two family situations have been treated entirely differently. As Mitt Romney noted, "No one's ever asked to see my birth certificate," while many prominent white Republicans have demanded to see Obama's birth certificate.

The baseless "birther" conspiracy theory has been perpetuated despite the fact that Obama authorized Hawaiian authorities to release even his "long-form" birth certificate when "birthers" raised questions about the "short-form" certificate that had been public for years.

Though the offensive theory about Obama’s birthplace has been repeatedly disproved, its promoters continue to use it as a way to rally working-class whites against the black "other." Romney is even giving several prominent "birthers" speaking slots at the Republican National Convention next week. These include billionaire Donald Trump who briefly jumped to the top of Republican presidential polls when he began promoting the lie about Obama being born in Kenya.

Taking everything into account – including Romney's well-documented hostility toward undocumented Mexicans in the United States – a troubling case could be made that Romney indeed is a racist, at least of the country-club variety, a sad turn for a nation that only four years ago elected its first African-American president.

Nice going, Mittens! How much aid in cash and military has the USA given Israel and how much to Palestine? How much has the world given each country? I have no doubt that Israelis are smart but they have had a lot of help to get to where they are.

Romney, why don't you mention that Ryan's wife is a Democrat (a Blue Dog, I'm sure) while youre at it. True story not lies like you tell. People ARE asking for those TAX RETURNS... what are you hiding Mittens? I think the real reason why he hasn't released his tax returns yet is because he owned a company that profited from the disposal of aborted fetuses. That won't go over well with the Religious Right. Personally, I wouldn't trust someone who is applying for a job and refusing to fill out the application throughly and honestly. I'm sure, if you were in the position of hiring someone, you would feel the same way.

Mitt's dad, George Romney, was in fact born in Mexico.

How would the Republicons under Romney bring jobs to Americans when he had the worst record in the country when he was governor of MA?????
Fact: he has no plan, and no record on job growth or creation. Just more attacks on the middle class and women, oh and elimination of MEDICARE if you are younger than 55, someone has to pay for the continued tax cuts for the wealthy. How many millions did Mitt NOT PAY IN TAXES by hiding money offshore? If Romney told the truth of what he would do he would NEVER get elected.

How Romney & Ryan Will Rob Your Retirement

As you know, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have a plan to end Medicare as we know it and turn it into a voucher program. This won’t do a thing to control health care costs, it will simply shift them onto seniors now and well into the future.

A new study out today shows just how devastating these costs increases could be — particularly for middle-aged people who don’t really have the time to save to make up for the difference. And the worst part of it all is that the Romney-Ryan plan is picking your pocket to give millionaires Romney and Ryan another huge tax break.

Check out this infographic to see how much Romney and Ryan will rob your retirement to pay for new tax breaks for themselves.

Tax returns, Statement of Economic Interests, Scholastic records, and resumes are the minimum required of Democratic Party candidates, all of which are checked by security personnel for verification. It is essential for any political organization to implement deep backround research against the opponent. A candidate therefore is closely checked for any potential damaging information that may be used against the candidate when campaign season, or service in office begins.

Romney is still hiding his tax history.

The multiple years of the Romneys' tax returns are essential to evaluating Romney as a presidential candidate. The fact that Romney has adamantly refused to release returns other than the 2010 actual return (and the 2011 estimated return) is a cause for concern. Since the established norm is that presidential candidates release 8-12 years of returns, Romney's insistence on not disclosing other returns appears arrogant and disrespectful of voters and suggests that there may be one or more items in those returns that he doesn't want voters to know about. Some information about items that could be better assessed with more returns and related information to review, including among others passive activity losses, questions of whether certain items are hobbies or can legitimately be classed as business expenses, foreign bank accounts, tax shelters, offshore companies, income from Bain Capital, and effective tax rate, are very important to voters. Much speculation has centered on the fact that Romney has accounts in various tax haven jurisdictions (Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Singapore) as well as bank accounts in jurisdictions that have been noted for banking secrecy and the accompanying tax evasion possibilities.

Since the US began cracking down on Swiss bank account holders who had avoided their reporting responsibilities, this latter issue has gained considerable visibility. It turns out that many Americans had multi-million dollar accounts abroad that weren't reported and on which they weren't paying taxes. With the breakthroughs facilitated by whistleblowers that threatened an avalanche of information about other bankers, other accounts and other account holders, many of those lawbreakers came forward to participate in voluntary disclosure programs through which most could pay a penalty and a settled amount for taxes and avoid criminal prosecution. So US taxpayers (and voters) want to know -- did the Romneys participate in that disclosure program?

Ed Kleinbard (former chief of staff of the Joint Committee on Taxation and currently at University of Southern California) and Peter Canellos (former chair of the New York State Bar Association Tax Section and current private practitioner) have raised another important issue that would be revealed more clearly with additional tax returns -- Romney's participation in abusive tax shelter activity. See Kleinbard & Canellos, Romney's Role in Tax Shelter Raises Questions, CNN op-ed (Aug. 8, 2012). The authors note that Romney's limited release of tax returns doesn't "dispel the legitimate concerns that arises from hints buried in his scant disclosure to wealth." But they note that a "relevant line of inquiry" is "what exists in the public record regarding his attitude toward tax compliance and tax avoidance." So they decide to see what that might be. They find something troubling -- his acceptance of abusive tax shelter activity by large multinational corporations when he headed Marriott International's audit committee and approved the company's involvement in a Son of Boss deal, a transaction undertaken purely for tax purposes to create artificial losses that would then be used to offset real gains from business activities and thereby substantially reduce the company's tax bills.

A key troubling public manifestation of Romney's apparent insensitivity to tax obligations is his role in Marriott International's abusive tax shelter activity.
*** From 1993 to 1998, Romney was the head of the audit committee of the Marriott board.
During that period, Marriott engaged in a series of complex and high-profile maneuvers, including "Son of Boss," a notoriously abusive prepackaged tax shelter that investment banks and accounting firms marketed to corporations such as Marriott. In this respect, Marriott was in the vanguard of a then-emerging corporate tax shelter bubble that substantially undermined the entire corporate tax system.
*** The government initiated legal challenges that resulted in complete disallowance of the losses claimed by Marriott and other corporations. *** The government brought successful criminal prosecutions against a number of individuals involved in Son of Boss. ***
In his key role as chairman of the Marriott board's audit committee, Romney approved the firm's reporting of fictional tax losses exceeding $70 million generated by its Son of Boss transaction. His endorsement of this stratagem provides insight into Romney's professional ethics and attitude toward tax compliance obligations.

So Romney as "businessman" (his claimed primary qualification for serving as President) was happy to sign off on tax scam transactions intended to benefit his corporation at the cost of ordinary taxpayers who are called upon to make up the difference in higher rates of borrowing by the federal government or higher taxes. Can Romney hide behind the excuse of --Oops, I was just an unsophisticated board member who relied on tax advisers and couldn't be expected to understand such complex transactions and tax issues? No way!! As Kleinbard and Canellos note in their op-ed:
Quote:

In his key position as head of the board's audit committee, Romney was required under the securities laws and his fiduciary duties to review the transaction. In fact, it has been publicly reported that Romney was the Marriott Board member most acquainted with the transaction and to whom the other board members turned for advice. This makes sense because aggressive tax-driven financial engineering was a large part of what Romney (and Bain) did for a living. For these reasons, it is fair to hold him accountable for Marriott's spurious tax reporting.
*** [Romney] had an insider's perspective on the motivation and lack of substance in the transaction, as well as the financial sophistication to understand the tax avoidance involved. Romney failed in his duties to Marriott and its shareholders and acted to undermine the fairness of the tax system.

These issues are critically important to Romney's purported qualifications to serve as president. A man who is willing to bend/break the rules in order to make more money for himself and his elite buddies doesn't belong in the White House.

The Republicons promised JOBS JOBS JOBS in 2010 if they were elected. Well they were elected in record numbers, and what have they done to create a single job besides their own? Getting the country's credit rating downgraded, obstructing all job bills, voting NO on Obama Care 33 times, or naming post offices have been the Republicon's biggest accomplishments, but have not created jobs as they promised.

I wonder why politicians never tell the truth. I listened to Mitt Romney's speech tonight and one thing that I noted in his speech is when he said that he wishes that President Obama had succeeded because he would like America to succeed. My question is why does he want America to succeed and then he didn't work with the President for the past 4 years and they blocked almost everything that the President tried to do? Mitt Romney and his double-speak. Total hypocrit! :crap:

It amazes me how they have tricked impoverished zealots to vote for their party, this Greedy OLD Party. They have had a tax cut for 12 years based on the proposition that it will "create jobs;" instead they have taken the wealth of the nation and stashed it in foreign banks. Then vociferously use their advocates to blame the current President as a smoke-screen to this gift their crony, his predecessor has left for them; all while we are defraying the cost of two wars. This is absolutely treasonous and anti-American. Further it demonstrates the evil greed of the corporation and diminution of We The People. The corporate board room is a cancer affecting our democracy. One should stop and consider if in fact they were creating jobs with 32 trillion dollars. And consider that by hording it, along with the fact that Europe has been in an economic melt-down for 8 years; objective and intelligent people can discern that under these circumstances an 8% unemployment rate is an astounding achievement of this administration, an envy of the world today. Grab a newspaper from Italy, Spain, Greece, the east European nations, and the U.K. and see for yourself. These countries are our trade partners, and their people are not working so they are not buying. What has been done to stop this in America will one day be hailed as possibly the redemption for democracy, otherwise the corporations might have us all working for peanuts as that is what they have been fighting to do for a century. Check your history -- it's all right there for you to read.

Republicons chanting "Four more wars, four more wars, four more wars, four more wars." That is their fix for the economy!! The GOP has done nothing but hold the economy hostage because they have nothing to contribute. There main objective from day one was to make Obama fail, just so they could use that for their campaign. They only know how to funnel money upwards to their cronies and not have to be responsible for it. Enough with the bullcrap, put something on the table to help the economy, veterans, education, environment, jobs, the middle class, homeless. Fed up!

How could anyone trust Romney? He's pro-choice, he's pro-life. He's pro-gay rights, he's anti-gay rights. Romney-care should be a model for the federal government. Romney-care is a horrible government takeover of health care. He wants to end Medicare, he wants to save Medicare. This guy does not know the meaning of the word "principle." He feels the less taxes the rich pay, the more jobs they will create. That could be true IF they didnt hide their money overseas or want to lower minimum wage.

Hey Mitt... Show your 10 years of tax returns if you want my vote....If you are honest about paying only 13% taxes on $250 Million in Capital Gains and Assets..Then what are you hiding from the American People????

Mitt Romney told a group of donors in a secretly taped private fundraiser that voters who back President Obama are "entitled" and "dependent on government." Romney told the donors:
"There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what. ... These are people who pay no income tax. My job is is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."

Romney seems to be referring to the estimated 47 percent of Americans who did not owe federal income taxes in 2011 because their incomes were so low that they qualified for a tax credit, or because they didn't work at all. Last year, 22 percent of people who didn't owe income taxes were elderly people on Social Security, and an additional 17 percent were students, disabled people or the unemployed. More than 60 percent of the group were low-income workers, many of whom qualified for the child tax credit or the earned income tax credit. (These workers did pay payroll taxes for Social Security and other programs.)

WHO DO ALL the lying stealing politicians rely on for their entitlements or perks?? Afterall, everything they receive is an entitlement. I wonder if he has the balls to tell everyone that lost their jobs in 2007 due to Bush policies that they are welfare junkies... The fact is that Republicans are in a make-believe world and think that Obama was in office for 8 years and failed to generate jobs, and start two wars that should have been paid for.

Mitt had a beautiful story about his childhood. He even tried to suggest that his father’s wealth had very little to do with his success. Oh really? He left the family's owned automobile company to set out on his own. He forgot to say that his journey from the family biz took him to Harvard Business College and then to Harvard Law School. Did Romney pay for his tuition from his own resources or was Daddy still supporting him when he was almost 30 yrs old?

It's now official. Romney, if elected will not worry about the poor, the unemployed, the under-employed, the uninsured, the elderly, students and the public aid folks who are barely making ends meet. I've always known he only represents the rich, the businesses, the high income earners and the Republicans. Poor Mitt. He seems to go out of his way to convince ordinary people not to vote for him.

This is an article written by Cynthia Tucker of TheNationalMemo. She is the winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for commentary:

Quote:

Romney's Character Comes To Light, And It's Dark Indeed
September 15th, 2012

Character is a combination of traits that etch the outlines of a life, governing moral choices and infusing personal and professional conduct. It’s an elusive thing, easily cloaked or submerged by the theatrics of a presidential campaign, but unexpected moments can sometimes reveal the fibers from which it is woven.

Last week, Mitt Romney had just such a moment. His rash, crass and blatantly dishonest response to violent protests in Libya and Egypt exposed a feckless and contemptible character that places political advantage above patriotism and values winning at any cost over courage, honor and truth.

As mobs attacked U.S. embassies in the Middle East, Romney rushed to use the moment as a cudgel against his rival, President Obama. He might have waited to find out whether any diplomats had been injured or Marines attacked. He did not. He might have waited until a day of mourning in commemoration of national tragedy — 9/11 — was over. He did not.

Instead, as violence escalated and lives hung in the balance, Romney jarringly condemned the president, claiming that "the administration's first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks." Later, he stood by that lie, contending that Obama coddles and apologizes to the nation’s enemies. His shamelessness overshadowed his belated attempts to acknowledge the deaths of four courageous Americans — including Christopher Stevens, U.S. ambassador to Libya — who gave their lives in service to their country.

In a closely fought political campaign, candidates often exaggerate their rivals' shortcomings, blame them for circumstances beyond their control and accuse them of recklessness or timidity (or both). That’s politics.

Indeed, by the end of the week, some leading Republicans were joining the criticism of the president’s foreign policy, hoping to help extricate the GOP nominee from the hole he’d dug for himself. John McCain, for example, claimed the Middle East protests — perhaps spurred by a despicable U.S.-made Web video slandering Islam's founding prophet — could be attributed to "American weakness and the president's inability to lead."

But McCain and other prominent Republicans had the decency to wait until the nation had digested the news of the losses among the diplomatic corps. Romney had no such decency. In contrast, after President Carter’s botched raid to rescue hostages in Iran, Ronald Reagan, his rival, said, "This is the time for us as a nation and a people to stand united."

In truth, Romney’s shamelessness and shallowness have been on display for years, evident in his falsehoods, his hypocrisy and his spinelessness. He has no apparent political principles that he will not jettison if circumstances seem to dictate a change in ideology.

And you don’t have to go back far to find Romney's ever-present hypocrisy. He wants to enjoy the traditional GOP advantage on foreign policy, but Obama has seized and occupied that territory — killing more terrorists, including Osama bin Laden, in four years than George W. Bush did in eight years.

So Romney gripes and complains, even if that means taking two or three different positions on the same issue. Last year, he attacked the president for waiting to commit U.S. forces to the NATO effort to overthrow dictator Moammar Gadhafi. A few weeks later, he criticized Obama for allegedly going too far in committing forces in Libya. In between, he ran from reporters who were trying to pin him down on his position.

Most revealing of Romney's character (or lack thereof), however, is his contentious relationship with truth. His criticism of Obama's Middle East foreign policy is of a piece with his oft-repeated claim that the president has traveled the world on an "apology tour," kowtowing before foreign leaders and paying penance for his nation's sins.

Nor did the president react to the siege on U.S. embassies by "sympathizing" with violent mobs. Inside the Cairo embassy, diplomatic staffers did try to calm the growing anger by releasing a statement that condemned "continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims." When Obama found out about the statement, he disavowed it. But he also noted that embassy personnel were in difficult circumstances, so “my tendency is to cut those folks a little bit of slack."

Romney didn’t have the class to do that, either. His character is one that would not suit the Oval Office.

This man will do anything to get what he wants even if it means selling out his country. He will get worse if he gets a chance at the presidency. If anyone of you wants a liar for president I guess you will never have a problem electing Romney. If Romney told the truth of what he would do he would NEVER get elected.

Mitt says, "Trust me. You do not need my income tax, you do not need to know the detail of how I am going to fix the economy, no budget. Do not ask me, just trust me." He also says to young poor Americans, "Go ahead, shop around, borrow money from your parents or join the military in exchange for tuition. I never served in the military but I was for the Vietnam War. Umm, I avoid the draft. Now I have sons, but I do not want them to fight and die for America. I am a so-called "tough guy" as you see. I am ready to wage war because Netanyahu want me to do so. Well, get ready you poor young Americans to fight for my kids, me and my wife because you are poor. I have five sons, and there is no way I will convince them to wear military uniform. Corporation are greedy people, I am going to represent them if you bone-headed, gullible people elect me to be your president. I avoided to pay taxes by hiding my money overseas. Indeed, it is legal because I was eligible for amnesty." Nice, huh?

We all recognize that America's (USA) education infrastructure is vital to our economic success and is critical to our national security. Romney/Ryan has produced a policy paper on their educational plans. What is not said is that the plan is not going to be funded. The Romney/Ryan plan focuses on for profit colleges and reduction in graduate school support. To meets his goals, at least a 40% reduction in college aid will be implemented. Simply put, it will mean that many if not most colleges will be hit hard. They will be required to layoff teachers and cut back on critical programs -- engineering, science and graduate studies. This will have a long term impact on the economy, and will increase the number of foreign visas to staff the industries of the future. Jobs will not go to our citizens. If you are a Republican, Democrat, Independent, etc., you need to alert your colleges and universities to engage them in fighting the gutting of America's long term economic educational infrastructure.

Mitt will get slaughtered in Massachusetts, the state that knows him best. Obama is almost 20 points ahead in this state. What do you expect from a man who shows his love for the US by hiding out in France during wartime and hiding his money offshore?

Mitt Romney is promising to reduce taxes on middle-income Americans. But how does he define ‘"middle-income"? The Republican presidential nominee defined it as income of $200,000 to $250,000 a year and less. His campaign clarified that Romney was referencing household income, not individual income. The Census Bureau reported this week that the median household income — the midpoint for the nation — is just over $50,000.

Obama wants to extend Bush-era tax cuts for those making less than $250,000, while Romney wants to extend the tax cuts for everyone.

Does anyone honestly think that Mitt Romney, the king of outsourcing, would be a job creator? Does anyone really think that Obama has media protection, like some sort of political mafia? FOX NEWS is very biased and is in no way telling the truth. FOX NEWS is a lying machine used to propagate and substantiate conservative hokum. The lies they tell about Obama being on government payroll his entire life can only be believed by people with an IQ equal to the room temperature or less. Obama was a lawyer for years, he supported himself as a community organizer in poor neighborhoods even as he was courted by prestigious firms. He has worked for Business International and the New York Public Interest Research Group and he taught Constitutional Law for 12 years as well as worked at a law firm at the same time. If you care to know the truth about his life and employment records here is a copy of Obama's bio:

Seriously, TURN OFF FOX and start getting some FACTS from independent sources who tell the TRUTH. The president has just taken this country from the brink of an economic disaster of EPIC PROPORTIONS and turned it around, albeit slowly (thanks to the obstructionist in Congress and the Party of NO), and has made steady upward progress. GO RESEARCH THE FACTS and use the brain God gave you. President Obama has FOUR years of being President under his belt. Romney has insulted every man, woman and child in this country who are not rich AND insulted numerous other countries.
For a HAPPY LIFE, keep your MIND FULL and your BOWELS EMPTY. ;-)
