Tea Party Nation tells business owners not to hire anyone The political organization wants small businesses to go on "strike" From Fox News Online (http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/kcpq-tea-party-nation-tells-business-owners-not-to-hire-anyone-20111021,0,6790295.story ) President Obama's jobs bill has been rebuffed by Republicans and now the Tea Party Nation has sent out a statement to its members requesting that they don't hire anyone in order to further hurt the president. On the Tea Party Nation's website, Melissa Brookstone criticizes the president's administration and the Democrat-controlled Senate as being allied in forcing the United States into socialism and away from capitalism. Brookstone charges that Democrats "have participated in what appears to be a globalist socialist agenda of redistribution of wealth, and the waging of class warfare against our constitutional republic's heritage of inidividual rights, free market capitalism, and indeed our Constitution itself, with the ultimate goal of collapsing the U.S. economy and globalizing us into socialism." Jobs bill supporters estimate that the president's bill could create nearly 2 million jobs. On the other hand, Brookstone not only alleges the president has assumed "dictatorial powers," but that the administration, Senate Democrats, "Progressive socialists from all around the country, especially those from Hollywood and the left leaning media" have colluded to create an "anti-business, an anti-free market, and an anti-capitalist (anti-individual rights and property ownership) agenda." Brookstone continues to rail against President Obama, Democrats, liberals and, generally, anyone in support of their policies, but then in concluding her remarks, she adopts a stance that defies logic. "I, an American small business owner, part of the class that produces the vast majority of real, wealth producing jobs in this country, hereby resolve that I will not hire a single person until this war against business and my country is stopped." "I hereby declare that my job creation potential is now ceased," she writes. "I'm on strike!" Personal political beliefs notwithstanding, it seems that finding a solution to the current high unemployment rate would benefit everyone. |

At least they're being open about their hatred for this country...hehehe...We should boycott these small businesses who are not hiring in response to this Tea Party's call not to hire. Treasonous scum! Saying you're not hiring to "hurt" the President, when in fact you really can't afford to hire because your business is so bad, due to fewer paying customers, due to wholesale outsourcing and elimination of jobs locally, does not create the appearance of honesty on your part. But please, those of you business owners who subscribe to this TPN tactic, stand up, be proud and let all of us customers know where you stand...so we can demonstrate to you where we stand. I believe it's known as letting your feet do the talking. Boehner said that the RepubliKlans primary goal is to keep Obama to a single term. Best way to do that is keeping the economy in the toilet. The best thing that could happen for the Republicans is to not create, and even lose jobs until the election. Terrible for Americans, great for Republicans come November. |

Tea Party = traitors. Put fences around all the trailer parks so we can keep an eye on them. A traitor is someone who betrays another, a cause, or any trust. That definition is the mission statement of the Teahadists, tear down the country because you can't stand the fact that a black man was elected president. Must be so sad to be them. They are scum trying to derail any economic recovery for political gain. Please TPN go on strike, and remember to let us all know which businesses are joining in your little strike, so that we may also strike against buying those businesses goods and services. What the TPN is doing is self-defeating. What they don't seem to realize is that by businesses "striking," that business will be the one who suffers the most. Customers will go elsewhere, and other intelligent business owners will get their business. Also, these striking businesses will help to increase unemployment, not to mention welfare, Medicaid, etc. The unemployed persons who are now receiving welfare, food stamps, etc. will NOT have enough $ to spend on those businesses goods & services. A business will only be hurting themselves by going on strike, and the businesses who did not strike will be more successful. |

It's as if the are trying to everything possible to make everyone hate the Republican Party. This is a new low. Ms. Melissa Brookstone, as a leader/activist in the Tea Party Nation has demanded and called for what amounts to a jihad against hard working Americans and the efforts to improve the economic well being of the nation and of U.S. citizens. See the case against Ms Brookstone, and a link to sign a petition to make her account for her actions: http://wp.me/pNmlT-LM |

As time goes on the true colors of the Tea Party are becoming clearer. They started out claiming that they were against big government and their spending. Now they’re literally willing to hold the country hostage – willing to harm America – if it would keep this president from having any success. Get America back on it's feet again and argue about who gets the credit later! That's the American way! |

They all should be tried for treason for trying to overthrow the government. Of course, we all know these people are not very bright anyway. We have seen that with all their misspelled signs and bringing guns to their rallies. What is that all about? |

Koch brothers and Grover Norquist are and have been for years, working to subvert our government and are paying politicians through lobbying to carry out their agenda. There is more than enough written and audio proof, but they are billionaires so everyone wants to go after the people who are stupid. I think most intelligent people (Brookstone obviously excluded), knows that from a practical standpoint this is idiocy. But the sentiment is what is galling, and so repulsive. She, and her kind, claim to be strict constitutionalists, yet they seek to deny the basic tenent of the pursuit of happiness because lets face it, being poor and out of work ain't happy. They want government out of their lives because they decry some large authority impacting their lives, yet they seek to become a large authority that impacts American lives in a harmful way. If there are no consequences for outrageous and dangerous rhetoric, then how can they be expected to monitor their behavior? I think, as a small business (process server), she should learn that her dangerous and extremist views and rhetoric have real world consequences. Melissa is a fringe lunatic. |
