I think it's already here. 9/11 was the catalyst of fascism, and this economic crisis may only be secondary. It's been going on when the Neocons and Georgie Part Deux came to power. And there are many Republican governors, who are bought and paid for by corporations, who do their bidding. They say if fascism has to rise and prosper it has to be preceded by a big event: 9/11 & this economic mess. We will see more of the Golden Rule (he who has the gold rules) play out more. Corporate fascism is on the rise. For example: Koch Brothers or the Koch Industry. They financed the Tea Party. Look what happened in Wisconsin. The rightwing Tea-Party-Republican governor there and his followers decided to deny bargaining rights to government unions like the teachers, firemen, police, etc. The Democrats fought back by recalling two Tealiban and almost won a third seat. Had they won that 3rd seat, they would have formed the majority of the State House of Wisconsin. All the Democrats that was subjected to the same recall all won their seats back. Next year, the Teahadist Wisconsin Governor will be subjected to recall. There are rumors also that neo-cons want to collapse the dollar so we can switch to amero and unite us with Canada and Mexico. I'm not sure if I want to believe that.

If you ask a Teabagger to give 5 differences between the Tea Party movement and the Fascist Party of Italy they are always unable to do so. It could be because they are ignorant to what the Italian Fascist Party was, but it's also because there are literally no ideological differences. None. If you look at the rise of fascism it looks a lot like the Tea Party movement almost point for point: nationalism, hatred of immigrants, condoning power to armed authority, anti-multiculturalism, hatred of liberalism and socialism.

According to a college professor, Dr. Lawrence Britt (expert on Fascist Regimes & author of "Fascism Anyone?"), there are 14 Defining Characteristics of Fascism:

1. Powerful & Continuing Nationalism.
2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights.
3. Identifying Enemies or Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause.
4. Supremacy of The Military.
5. Rampant Sexism.
6. Controlled Mass-Media.
7. Obsession with National Security.
8. Religion & Government Our Intertwined.
9. Corporate Power is Protected.
10. Labor Power is Suppressed.
11. Disdain for Intellectuals & The Arts.
12. Obsession with Crime & Punishment.
13. Rampant Cronyism & Corruption.
14. Fraudulent Elections.
