I just found out that mass absolution is not being practiced or administered by priests in Philippine Catholic churches during Lent. I experienced that in an American Catholic Church in Illinois and I think they do that once a year and only during Lent. I think it is an absolute excellent way of bringing back sinners into the Church and encourage more parishioners to take Communion. Mass absolution I think exempts church members from going to confession. Please correct me if I am wrong on that. |

I, myself, think that this is a great idea to bring lukewarm Catholics into the fold. Once a year doing this would be great and perhaps the Church can do it too on the eve of Christmas or on Christmas Day. |
