I do not know if this is the right forum for this issue. Let me know. I'm curious - how do you dispose of the bodies of your dead animals in Pinas? Kung sa basura lang hindi pwedeng itapon sila lalo na kung ang pet dog mo ay malaki gaya ng Great Dane or English Mastiff. Sabi nila pupuntahan nila kami. After 4 tries we stopped trying. They never came. That's why I'm all for dismantling the Barangay Council. As far as I am concerned they are useless. We are just wasting money on them. Just think how much Noynoy will save on salaries. If you live in an apartment, you don't have a yard on which to bury a dead animal. It would also be so yucky and so unsanitary to chop up Fido just so he would fit in a garbage bag or sack. I also don't think I have the stomach for that. So what is a Pinoy animal lover do to bury his beloved pet or disposed of its body properly as required by the law? |

There's actually a pet cemetery in the Philippines. Kaso malayo. It's in Tagaytay pa (Santuario de Tagaytay Pet Memorial Park). Sa PAWS headquarters din (near Katipunan), I believe they have a small cemetery there where they allow other pets to be buried basta may permit. I don't know yet the burial fee at the Tagaytay pet cemetery. They do have cremation services at PAWS and Santuario de Tagaytay. Here's an article regarding PAWS burial/cremation services (Pero 2007 pa to, so I'm not sure kung parehas pa din ang fee): Departed Pets in Phillipines Memorialized http://dogblog.dogster.com/2007/11/04/departed-pets-in-phillipines-memorialized/ I'm guessing that most Pinoy pet owners whose pets died would probably just dump their dead pets if: 1. there is no place for them to bury their pets 2. it is the most economical way of doing it 3. they know of no other options I think most of those who opt to bury their pets one way or another are those who have big enough properties or has the means to spend for it or those whose properties are in the provinces. Those who just dump the body of their pet probably do not have other options so I would not say that they do not care or that they are heartless. No judgement here, mind you. Dumping the body of their dead pet is probably the most convenient, the most economical and the speediest thing that they can do given their circumstances or their predicaments. Why speedy?....coz if you keep the body any longer after it died, it becomes a health issue. So there is a time element involved in this issue too. It's not like you have a whole month looking for a place to dump the carcass. Kaya natin ito pinag-uusapan ngayon eh ng sa ganun pagsino man sa atin ang maka-experience ng pagkamatay ng alaga niyang aso alam na niya kung ano ang gagawin niya.
