Posted Image I am member zero, the first member to join. I just like to say 'HI!' to all the Pinoys and their friends who joined this newly-built forum and those people who are from other forums, communities, Yahoo groups, Google groups, and MSN groups who took a chance to join us! Posted Image I used this code to post the picture above:
To post a picture, you first have to have a FREE picture host (a website that will host your picture). I use ImageShack - I suggest you use it too since they usually DO NOT DELETE pictures that are long on the tooth (old, I mean). Other image hosts do, specially if the pictures have not been accessed for a while. You don't need to register or open an account in ImageShack to use them as host but there are good benefits for doing so. It is free anyway. Once you have an image host, go to their site and upload your picture. At the end of the upload, copy the direct link to the image and use that address in your BBCode. Image links should end in either .jpg, .gif, .jif, .png, .bmp, .jpeg, etc. You can post videos...and you can play it too, right here. Cool, huh? :gogo: Posted Image To post the above video, this is the BBCODE I used (you can remove the "center" codes; I only used it to center the video to the page):
BBCodes is the forums' version of HTML. Here is the full forum's list of BBCodes (there is even a link on top of the posting or editing interface where you create your message): http://s1.zetaboards.com/The_Filipinoys_Forum/keys/?c=1 BBCodes are also like HTML codes in that they need to all have a "closer". I coined that word. I'm referring to BBCodes that terminate the execution of a starting BBCode. Let me just give you an example to make this point clearer: For example, to center a particular element in a message, say an image or a video, you add this code or tag:
For example, if you want to center a picture, you do this:
The "closer" is the [/ center] (without the added space in between "/" and "center"). The closer for text size is [/ size], [/ img] for images or pictures, [ /flash] for flash videos (of course, without the spaces). Their common element is the forward slash: "/" Take a look at the full BBCode list and familiarize yourself with them. It is not rocket science. If you don't want to be bothered by the BBCodes, no problem. The editing or message interface where you create the message you want to post has buttons to create the BBCodes for you. Just highlight the words that you want to create BBCodes around and then you can click the appropriate buttons above the interface. For example, if you want to make the word "BOLD" become bolded, just highlight the word and then click the "B" button (the first button, extreme left of the editing/message interface found on top of the editing interface) and instantly the BBCodes are created around the word. Easy enough? Just let me know if you need some assistance in using these forums and their features. Edited by justin.kredible, Nov 9 2009, 08:05 PM.
