![]() silentkiller of the Reavers was discovered running a spy ring on New Francisco. We do not wish to escalate this situation, as our policy on spies has not been announced until now, and because we wish to honor the AGE/KLIT treaty we have sworn ourselves to. However, we do feel the need to speak out. As it has apparently never been stated before (I could've sworn it was, but it's not in our archives... must've been the Nausea), the Sons of Liberty views all spy events as an act of war, either by a rogue or an alliance. If other alliances do not share this view, we at least ask them to restrict their espionage to other alliances who share their view. |

Oh dear. There's a famous folktale on Neriad, about a kingdom who detected the spies of a nearby empire. They knew little of the might of this empire, and, incensed that this empire was gathering information on them, declared war, instigating an invasion all along the borders. But the empire was much mightier than the kingdom, and the armies of the kingdom were swept before those of the empire, which then invaded the kingdom and pillaged and burnt their cities, carrying all before them. We're not sure where the tale comes from - some think it refers to relatively recent history, but we have no records of any such thing happening, so we think it must be an ancient tale, carried to Neriad by the original settlers. I just thought that it might be somewhat relevant to this situation. |

The Reavers have not, nor will we ever use forum spying. As for in game spying, given that Kantus is in a perpetual state of war with the other factions, we don't view in-game spying as an act that necessarily necessitates military action. This can be handled in private channels. I recommend you come find me on IRC. Edit: Fixed word use Edited by Red, Sep 5 2009, 03:18 PM.

SoL, you are insignificant piss ants, go pound sand. ............................................................. Most here , including the two largest Alliances in the two dominant Factions, believe that in-game spying is a valid option for gaining Intelligence, and that while it is aggressive, it is not a Act-of War per se. For fucks sake... We are in a perpetual state of war between the Factions. However, Alliance/Forum spying, is considered ground for immediate military action. This is my personal rant, and not in any way associated formally with Reaver's official stance. |

While Chile's opinion is his opinion, we can discuss this without overt hostility. I expect all Reavers to behave themselves. No Trolling. |

Pshh I spy on that 100k strength guy all the time, he only sends funny messages at me. This being a CB is pretty silly, I usually spy to people just to be silly in the first place. Edited by Chaoshawk, Sep 5 2009, 04:34 PM.

You fuckers just don't get it, do you There is NO need for valid Casus Belli or DoWs in this game. The Factions have been, are and always will be, in a state of perpetual warfare. Feel like taking a swipe at someone, flip a coin and have at it. ......................................... This is my personal view, not official Reaver policy. |
