It was written by one of our GNS correspondents on Brandfall -who shall remain nameless- who has been suspected of taking money from the world in exchange for stories biased towards Brandfall and Umbrionage. Our GNS Internal Affairs investigation will be ongoing throughout the week, with results estimated on Saturday. GNS apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused to our viewers. "Assimilated" fashion rises in popularity. Will the Borg compete with or join Reaver designers? Tune into GNSFashion for the complete report now. Arthran worlds cut health care spending to compensate for shortfalls caused by quickly rising administrative costs in ABC. GNSBusiness investigates investing in private insurance corporations. New Breton cosmoentomologist breeds giant space wasps and publishes paper on training them to respond to pheromones. Could Umbrionage weaponise them? We speak with defence correspondents about how to protect ourselves from these abominations of rogue science. Emperor is still missing. Show us how you feel about the Emperor through our feed on emotrâ„¢. All after this report: The Architect held a press conference last night in an undisclosed location to invite planets into the alliance known as Umbrionage. The address was peercasted live from Brandfall on Umbrionage's cloudnet and uplinked by a crossover host to the extranet. The Architect claims to be in favour of technology, but has refused to install an intrasense port so we are unable to broadcast any intrasense segments from the address. It has been awhile since The Architect has last spoken so we will refresh our viewers memory. Soon after the Emperor disappeared, Phrygia revolted against the Emperor's governor. The Architect was on holiday nearby and persuaded them to create Umbrionage's present government in their twin city capital. Instituted were explicitly antipatriotic policies such as considering citizens as unliable residents and many repeals against security and morals, even an endorsement of evil virtuing 'the free'. The Architect is callously outspoken, believed to consider most of the galaxy unimaginative, and has produced many incendiary publications banned from sensible worlds and popular in places such as Tortuga, Brigandy, and the New Francisco underground. Not a Law and Order type. Umbrionage's capital has since been moved to Brandfall, probably the planet most rife with unethical experiments in the galaxy, in an unknown location. The alliance does not hold regard of any kind for higher powers. They are not interested in the Emperor, the King of Man, or large blocs. Despite the Freedom of [practicing any] and [to abstain] from Religion policy, less than 400 residents so far have ever practiced any faith, less than 100 while in Umbrionage (the majority nontraditional fringe faiths such as Voodoo Singularians, Wicca, Pastafarians, Luciferians, revived mythologies, and UU), and none born in Umbrionage. Tax incentives such as One at Work, One at Home and Tango on the Job, if there are taxes or anything like it (many municipalities have replaced it with insurance), have lead to many DINKs or households without domestic partners and an equal or fewer number of children as adults at a time. Marriage is not recognised in law. If anything is sacred to them, it is professionalism or the client-contractor relationship which exists for practically any task. Agents for assisted suicide 'euthanatologists', sex workers of all kinds, and according to rumor assassins are licensed. The state has lifted all devices for overturning client-contractor confidentiality in all professions, including illicit ones, and even prosecutes coercion and breaches criminally. District attorneys by law cannot receive more money on a case than public defenders. The announcement was likely made in response to initiatives taken by a member of ABC to liberate Phrygia from the distressing decay of values. Appreciating "many paths to liberty," Umbrionage effectively has an open policy of admission useful for building an army (even if conscription and stoploss is against their laws). Prior to this, Umbrionage was not very involved in galactic politics aside from commentary. Compounding their untempered boldness, the well respected alliance The Galactic Republic has signed a treaty to defend the firebrands. This is but one of a series of treaties they have recently made with other alliances including the Borg. TGR has dispensed Consul to consult all but Umbrionage since they are pre Nausea. In other news, You can do that? by Giles Cori has been put on more black lists. Authorities recommend that all copies in circulation be destroyed without delay. A compilation of the Emperor's memoirs has been published. <Buy product?> |
