Name: Percival "The Gypsy" LaClaire Age: 26 Gender: Male Homeworld: Ozer'Nobuo Race: Human Appearance: ![]() Personality: A loner at heart, Percival always considered himself more of a person that is in the background than someone who takes charge. He believed that he could find his way on his own without much help, though this has changed since his death, so what friendships were made were often broken as he would leave without a word. Really, Percival is a kind person who has trouble expressing himself. He hides behind his sword instead of facing his emotional conflicts, so he is very emotionally vulnerable. Among these vulnerablities are his fear of humans, despite being on himself, as he was taught at a young age to fear them as creatures of death. If someone actually bothers to get close to him, Percival can be a rather good companion. He is loyal to some point and despite his wanderings he still keeps the friends he abandons in his heart. Preferred Fighting Style: Melee Powers & Abilities: Percival uses a style of swordsmanship that involves using a single katana in 12 distinct forms. Each form resembles a dance taught to him by the Gypsies of his world. And the style overall is called, "The Twelve Dances of the Gypsies." The Dance of the Lotus - A very flashy form, but it is also quick The Dance of the Willow - A form that uses both offense and defense in which Percival constantly performs swaying motions The Dance of the Jade - A beautiful and graceful form used mainly for defense The Dance of the Sapphire - This form is considered by some to be the most beautiful, but is used mainly as a form of evasion The Dance of the Serpent - His fastest form used for assassinations The Dance of the Dragon - A purely offensive form that provides strong attacks without sacrificing grace or speed The Dance of the Wind - This form is used when in the air, usually from jumping The Dance of the River - Probably the most wild of the forms, this dance is used for rapid and uncorrdinated attacks The Dance of the Mountain - A defense form that relies on not moving from one footing during an opponent's attack The Dance of the Spirit - This form has a near perfect balance of offense, defense, and grace The Dance of the Holy - Percival's best defensive form focuses on avoiding attacks without countering The Dance of the Void - This form is only used with the intent to kill, attacks vitals with various stabbing motions Weakness:
Soul Attack: The Dance of the Eternal - This powerful dance was not one of his original styles, but it is kind of a combination of The Dance of the Serpent and The Dance of the Void. Basically, by using the gem's power Percival swings his sword towards the enemy normally, but the next three swings are much faster and invisible to the naked eye. Those final three slashes appear as if it was a single motion. History: The world of Ozer'Nobou can be described as a land similar to the fairy tales of some worlds. The land was green and had plenty of space; being home to humans and supposedly mythical creature alike, though humans were still the dominant species. The world follows a monarchy system similar to that of the Middle Ages and is all under one country. Dpesite wars in the past, peace has been the way for years. Percival was abandoned by his human parents when he was just a baby, in which he was found by the nymph Queen of the Gypsies. He grew up in the time of peace and followed the gypsies who were entertainers and peddlers. Percival was the only human among the gypsies and he was told terrible stories of the human reign in the earlier centuries to the point in which he feared his own people. As well as the stories Percival was taught the twelve ceremonial dances of the gypsies which he would later transform into a sword style. Around the age of sixteen Pericval appeared to up and leave without a word in order to make something out of his self in the world. Just a few years after his leave the Queen of the Gypsies was stabbed in her sleep by a mere thief that wanted some quick coins. Percival traveled the land working odd jobs and protecting people against wild creatures. It was during this time that Percival developed his sword style based on the dances the gypsies taught him. One job of interest that Percival took was to hunt and kill a dragon roaming a local village, as hunting dragons was considered an honorable sport in that time. He set off to kill the dragon, but was instead captured by the mighty golden creature. The beast spoke to him and Percival found him respectable and wise, choosing not to kill him. He returned to the village saying that he could not defeat the dragon. Not long afterwards the dragon was killed by a group of hunters. The last job before his death was to find a Lich and destroy him. Percival wandered into a swamp in which the Lich was supposed to live, but was instead taken by surprise. The Lich cast a spell on him that restricted his ability to move affectivly in the swamp. The Lich's magic was too strong, and he pierced Percival's heart with a spear made of the darkness around him. Unknown to anyone at that time the Lich had allied himself with The End in order to obtain more power.
