The city of Camaguey suffers a protest from nearly 5,000 pro-communist demonstrators. They begin using their newfound right of free speech, assembly, and demontration to begin putting down the new capitalist system being put in place. They wave signs that point to the slowly rising unemployment rate as private businesses look to trim costs and cut excess employees and the new tax system that has been deriving its income from property and personal income which Cubans are not used to. With 7 out of 10 Cubans being born during the embargo, many are uncomfortable with the new massive influx and outflux of trade with them. The military quickly shows up with riot gear and are prepared to disperse the crowd using less then lethal means should the protest get out of hand. Many are disturbed to see pictures of the Castro's on signs amongst the crowd. |

So the United States would rather have the possibility of commies takeing over Cuba, than the Dutch try to stop it. I see what America is comeing to. |

WHo is this "I". European's are not allowed to interfere in American matters. If anyone will interfere it will be the US, not the Dutch. |

Once protestors began throwing rocks, the military used tear gas and beanbag cannons to disperse the crowd. One protestor suffered a broken rib, however it was the only injury. |

But there may still be more violence. Communists don't give up easily. The forces are being sent to the consulate to make sure, no Dutch get killed. |
