VISION The Dawnbreakers is a kinship based upon the cardinal assumption that without unity, there is no result in the world of human action. Unless people can find ways to create and maintain unity among them, their collective endeavors will result in little to no result, if not immediately, then in the long run. THE SEVEN CORE PRINCIPLES To create and maintain such unity, the Dawnbreakers commit themselves to upholding seven basic principles: 1) Creating and maintaining unity is the most fundamental duty of all members. 2) Members best promote unity by seeking justice in all of their endeavors. 3) The spirit of sacrifice gives life to the group, yet sacrifice must never be forced. 4) Decisions must be made through frank and selfless consultation with all those who are involved. 5) Authority lies in the hands of the assembly of officers, not any single individual, including the officers themselves. 6) The officers are servants of the group, ultimately responsible for its health and development. 7) Members must act in ways free of prejudice, whether in regard to race, ethnicity, nationality, sex, age, or any other quality. |
