1. Bobby's Characters: Hweu, Hirzud & Wahguo Cyberweasel89's Characters: Adolph, Errol & Kid Max's Characters: Colton & Loading... True Red's Characters: Aranel & Grunkit ((new topic!!! XD XD XD I'll get us a ways away from the metropolis to avoid unnecessary delays. They've been traveling for about an hour.)) Hweu and the others had been traveling for about an hour ((see? )) when Hirzud began acting oddly. "What is it boy?" asked Hweu. The light of the sun was descending over the mountains and sunset was fast approaching. "I think your dog is trying to tell you that we should make camp for the night," said Wahguo. Hweu countered, "But we still have like an hour or so until night. We can go a bit further." "And risk setting up camp in the blackness?" asked Wahguo, coming to a stop. "I'd rather set up camp now." Wahguo began unpacking his stuff and setting up one of the group's tents. Hweu saw his spontaneous leadership role crumbling and shrugged, "I guess that's fine. How does everyone else feel?" ((It really will be about an hour until total blackness. The mountains are kinda dangerous. Monsters, trolls among other things. Your characters would probably know of the dangers.)) Edited by Bobby, Dec 8 2012, 09:02.

The Kid simply climbed into a nearby tree and pulled his goggles over his eyes, leaning back on the branch he sat on and folding his hands behind his head. It was clear he had no intent of helping everyone set up. The orc glomped onto Hweu's arm, wedging it between her generous bosom. "Husband! Share tent with Errol!" she insisted. "Oh. Right. Please! See? Errol learn!" Adolph, meanwhile, was sniffing Hirzud's ass. As in, nose dug into the hound's bunghole. |

The goblin and the elf had completely different views on what should happen. Grunkit replied, "Yeah, I don't know if I could go any farther. These old bones of mine aren't what they used to be." He sat down. Replenished with mead, he set his containers around himself for a makeshift fort. He curled up inside, surrounded by the thing he loved most. It seemed that he finally decided to give up on trying to get Errol. Aranel was not tired at all and wanted to keep going. He needed to catch up to Noiweh as soon as possible. For some reason, when she wasn't there, he felt completely alone, despite the others being there. He figured that it was probably because he had traveled with her for so long, and hoped that it was nothing more than that. He scouted a little bit to see if there was any bit of danger nearby. In the Great Forest, that was always a possibility. With his keen eyesight, he could make out something about 100 feet away. Noiweh was standing over two dead trolls, each with several arrows in it. It looked like she had killed both of the forest trolls, but it had taken some time. She was breathing heavily, by the looks of it. His heart leaped when he saw her, but then sank when he saw that she was exhausted. "Noiweh!" he called. Aranel knew that she would be able to hear him as she had elven sense just like he did. "We caught up to you! Come over here and make camp with us. I know that you want to save your brother as soon as possible, but we want to help you. And it looks like you need to rest." |

In his reindeer form, Loading carries several of the supplies over to Colton, who takes what he needs to set camp up. Next Loading goes towards Grunkit, offering any of the supplies he is carrying for the old-timer. Colton meanwhile is watching the woods, ever ready to strike if need be. When Noiweh is spotted, Colton mearly shruggs, saying "She's a fool, that one's going to get herself killed before she finds even a hair on her brother's head." Loading jumps into action, saying, "Would someone grab my bag, if she needs medical attention then I must be ready." With the supplies on his back, Loading didn't want to change form without putting them down first, or else risk dropping them. |

1. Bobby's Characters: Hirzud, Hweu, Noiweh & Wahguo 2. Cyberweasel89's Characters: Adolph, Errol & Kid 3. True Red's Characters: Aranel & Grunkit 4. Max's Characters: Colton & Loading… ((Note: I spoke with TR beforehand so it was not god-modding.)) Noiweh had been running when she was suddenly attacked by a very quick moving forest creature. It stood about a foot high and had the ability to move silently and turn invisible. She managed to scare it off but not before getting the attention of two forest trolls. She had no choice to fight them as she realized that if two were here than others would not be far behind and they would raise an alarm that would travel faster than she ever could even with her natural elven speed. Hirzud raised his tail to offer more of his scent then turned around and sniffed Adolph's ass. Hweu was suddenly grabbed by Errol and before reacting to her he scolded his garum for being disgusting. Hirzud seemed to shrug then began to bark and play with the other canine in a chase/wrestle-type game. Hweu turned to Errol and said, "Uh, sure. I will request that we sleep in different sleeping bags, though, as I still do not know you very well. Maybe we can discuss your infatuation with me as well. It is very awkward for me." Hweu had never had a girlfriend before and was not sure how to act in this situation so he decided to act professional until he thought of a better method. Wahguo did much like Kid once the tent was up. He was exhausted from his still not-fully-healed injuries. He reasoned that he would wake up before sunrise to train. Noiweh heard Aranel's voice from atop a nearby mountain. She looked around for him, before finally seeing his distant figure high above on a mountain ridge. Noiweh put her finger to her lip to indicate silence. Then she used the last ounce of her strength to make it all the way up the relatively steep cliff-face with her elven grace before collapsing to one knee onto the grassy mountain ridge. She said to Aranel, "Do not make too much noise. There are more forest trolls out there that will eventually notice their two fallen brethren." Noticing the dogs playing she said, "They should be separated for a while or else their barking will alert the trolls." Noiweh nodded to Loading's unasked question about whether to treat her. "I could use a little something, Doctor."... Edited by Bobby, Dec 8 2012, 09:03.

"Adolph, no. Bad wolf. Down, girl." Without even opening his eyes, the Kid could tell that his wolf was playing with Hirzud. And he did not approve. The wolf cocked her head the side while making a questioning murmer. "You're a weapon of war. An attack hound. You shouldn't frolic with an inferior garrum. It'll dull your combat senses." The wolf whimpered. "I said no. Go lay down. Chew on something to keep your teeth sharp." The wolf obeyed, sadly trotting over to the treat the Kid lay in and curling up at its base. The kid threw her a stick from a branch of the tree to chew on, which she obeyed, stealing glances over at Hirzud. "Aww! But husband is Errol's husband! We need make snoo-snoo to make marriage official? 'Cause Errol can do that! Other orcs say Errol give best wanshuck in whole tribe!" She turned to see Noiweh was found, and tired. The orc sprung into action. "Errol make stew! Errol hurry!" Within an hour, she had gathered herbs and plants from the forest, as well as growing some meat and vegetables from her own body (!!!), and was cooking a pot of stew over a campfire. "See, husband? Errol was proud warrior and leader of orc tribe, but Errol make good housewife too!" the orc proudly proclaimed. |

Grunkit thanked Loading... for the supplies. Alcohol was heavy and thus Grunkit could only carry so much. He added the new supplies to his makeshift shelter after taking a rest. He climbed out when he heard the commotion. "Sure, Loading, I'll grab your bag. It's the least I can do. It seems like you and Aranel are the only ones who don't hate me." He held the bag for Loading. Aranel replied softly as he tried to help Noiweh to the campsite, "Oh, I'm sorry. I won't make too much noise." Before Aranel could separate the two dogs as per Noiweh's request and the group's own safety, Kid did. Aranel wished that he was a skilled healer like Loading, but was happy that they had a healer at all. He was impressed by Errol's abilities as well. Aranel took a step back, but then was seized by another vision. He did not know what they meant, but he knew that he could find out if he knew who (or what) the common thing was. In all of his visions, there was a hooded figure doing something evil. Finally being tired of not knowing and being helpless, Aranel ran forward as fast as he could lest the vision should end too quickly and pulled back the hood. The figure turned its head to face him. It was Aranel's face, and the elf could only watch as the figure said to him, "Don't you see? I am you. I will always be you." As the vision faded, a flood of memories and things yet to pass hit Aranel all at once and he finally knew what the visions meant. Aranel announced to the whole group in a very somber tone, "I regret to announce that I must leave all of you now." His eyes passed over Errol, Hweu, and Wahguo, those that he wished he could get to know better. "If I stay with you, I cannot say how long it will be before I turn on all of you." His eyes went to Kid and Adolph, newcomers that he had come to trust. "Therefore, it is my duty to all of you to leave." Next he looked at Loading and Colton, travelers that were with him since the beginning. "It has been a long journey, and I could not have asked for better companionship." He then looked at Grunkit, his now-best friend and the one whose wisdom was important to him. "I finally know what evil you sensed Grunkit, and it is why I must depart from you. Don't worry about it anymore, for I am the only one who can deal with it." He last looked at Noiweh with his eyes full of pain where they rested as he confessed, "The truth is--" He sighed as he spoke three words that would change his life forever. "I'm a warlord." Loading nodded and quickly found his bag, switching to his elf form he took the bag from Grunkit, who then made him speechless with is comment. "I'm sorry Grunkit, but we have more pressing matters then our group dynamic, don't worry about the others though, we are nakama and have a duty to uphold." Throwing items out of his bag in a wave of supplies, Loading mumbles, "I know I put the pain killers and bandages in here somewhere, it feels like quite an oversite on my part not to put them somewhere easily reached. It wasn't until Aranel began speaking that Loading stopped what he was doing, Colton himself had even shown slight interest in what was taking place. |

1. Bobby's Characters: Hirzud, Hweu, Noiweh & Wahguo 2. Cyberweasel89's Characters: Adolph, Errol & Kid 3. True Red's Characters: Aranel & Grunkit 4. Max's Characters: Colton & Loading… Hirzud seemed to shrug in response to Adolph's departure and began patrolling the camp's border, wary to catch danger at the first sign. Hweu shuddered, fearing he knew exactly what she meant by snoo-snoo. "Uh, on second thought, different tents might be best. I don't hate you; I just don't like you in that way." He cringed as he realized the potential harshness of his words, "I'm sorry. I'm sure there's someone out there for you, Errol. But I'm not that someone." "Nonsense," said Wahguo in response to Aranel's proposed exit. He jumped out of his tent and landed agilely next to Aranel, blocking his path. "You've got no reason to worry about us, friend." Hweu wrestled out of Errol's grasp and stood in front of Aranel as well. "I may not know you very well, but I do know that we can help you. If there is anything you are afraid of or concerned about don't hesitate to share it with us." Noiweh hobbled over to Aranel after getting fixed up by Loading…'s expertise and put a delicate but strong hand on his shoulder. "You're a great leader, Aranel. You can handle a lot." She turned him so that he was facing her. "You can't handle this on your own, though. We can shoulder this together." She gestured to those around her. "No one here is a pushover, Aranel. We all know one or two moves and have each proven ourselves in combat. Just trust us. We're here to help." With that Noiweh broke free but not before giving Aranel a light kiss on his cheek. She returned to Loading… and thanked him more for his help in fixing her up…. Edited by Bobby, Dec 8 2012, 09:04.

Errol's face fell. "Husband no... no like Errol?" She clenched her hands into fists. "But... Errol try hard for you!" She shouted angrily. "Why..." Her eyes watered. "Why you no like Errol? Errol not good enough? Boobs not big enough?" she grasped them in her hands. "Too big? Errol not pretty enough? Hair too messy? Skin too pink? What wrong with Errol? Why husband no like?" The tears were now freely flowing down her cheeks. "Why Errol not good enough?! Why-" She hiccuped. It was soon followed by a sob. Then the orc went running off into the woods. The Kid lauched. "Keh ha ha! Dude, you totally fucked that up." he called to Hweu. "Made a woman cry? And an orc no less? If I were you, I'd wanna stay on the good side of a chick who could hammer fist me into the ground. Besides, you're goin' about it all wrong. Come talk to me if you ever need advice on women. Keh ha ha! Oh man, that was all priceless." The Kid went back to sleep, but perked when Aranel made his announcement. He scoffed. "Christ, talk about drama." - - - - - - - - - - Errol ran and ran and ran, crying her eyes out. Why didn't her husband like her? What did she lack? In orc tribes, women were second-class citizens. Men were the warriors. Women raised the children, farmed, ranched, and served. That included... favors. To gain any amount of status as a female orc, one had to be very good with their favors. Luckily for Errol, she was quite talented with her wanshuck. Orcs told her she had a golden tongue. She shouldn't have been proud of it, but a female orc didn't have much to be proud of. Then came the day when the tribe warred with another tribe. She snuck out and assisted the warriors. She was punished for it, but they realized she had indeed, helped. She received warrior training, but only to escort some of the women farther out to gather supplies as a bodyguard to them. Then, in a cave, she stumbled upon a strange crystal. Next thing she knew, she could make raw food from her body. The orcs saw her value, then. She used her newfound ability to gain more status, so she wouldn't need to give wanshuck like the other women. She was surprised when they made her the chief of the tribe. On the night after her Rite of Passage, the shaman told her that she was destined to eventually leave the tribe. She would marry a human male. A human male the warriors would encounter on their next raid, but only if she gave the order to leave him alive. She did. And they returned with Hweu. Her husband. There are no marriage ceremonies in orc culture. At most, just some snoo-snoo to seal the deal. When a warrior took a liking to one of the female orcs, she would gain status as his mate. None of the orcs were interested in that with her. Her nose... it was ugly. She didn't have snouts like the other orcs. She had this ugly nose... Many times she'd wanted to cut it off, tired of being made fun of... but in the end, she proved her worth other ways. And now they're all dead except her... Now she had a new group, and even a husband, but none of them accepted her. She was always alone... And she'd always be alone. She tripped on a fallen tree. She didn't bother getting up. She just cried into the dirt. Edited by Cyberweasel89, Aug 22 2011, 14:52.

Grunkit saw Hweu's protests and Errol leaving and sighed, shaking his head at Hweu. In an uncharacteristic voice, Grunkit told him, "Hweu, you know nothing about goblins and orcs." Aranel looked at all of them, feeling his cheek where he had been kissed. Then he took a step back. "Well maybe I could stay a little longer..." Aranel paused, thinking it over. They clearly were not going to let him go easy. "But no. I have to find out who I am and what I did by myself!" he protested vehemently. "You can understand that, can't you? You don't deserve to be in the company of one so evil regardless of if you know me. I must depart." Aranel began to storm off, but Grunkit raised his hand surrounding him in pink chains made of magic. "No. You're sticking with us." Aranel struggled to get free, but Grunkit was skilled and it was difficult. The elf was able to grasp his knife and made it more powerful with a spell so that it could cut chains. Grunkit realized this and knocked Aranel unconscious with the flat of his scythe, commenting, "I'm too old for this." "Well," said Grunkit, taking a sip of mead. "Hopefully when he comes to, he'll be more willing to listen to guys like us. Heh, looks like I did just defeat that 'evil' that had been coming before." He chuckled a moment. Then he paused. "What? I have to do everything around here? Alright, fine. I'll go find Errol." ---------- Grunkit saw the tracks of the orc and followed them at a rather brisk pace for an old goblin. He wanted to find her before she got too far. He made sure that he knew the way back to the campsite before continuing. Before too long, he saw the huddled pink mass of Errol, crying into the dirt. If there was one thing that Grunkit could never stand through his years, it was the sight of a female crying. There was no real way that he could make his presence known without startling the orc, so he just came out and said, "There, there." He paused for a moment and took out a hankerchief. He wasn't sure if she would accept it, but at least it was an offer. "Listen, Errol. Now, I'm probably the last person that you wanted to see right now, but I'm not here to try and hit on you. Besides, I'm too old for you anyhow. This guy, Hweu, he doesn't know any better. He doesn't know what species like us have to go through. Especially women." Seeing that he was trying to make excuses for Hweu rather than comfort Errol, Grunkit tried a different approach. "You probably think that I don't know anything about orcs, but in fact I grew up alongside them. Both the orc tribe and my tribe banded together to defeat a group of men that was trying to kill us. My tribe had inferior numbers when I was young, and only with the orc tribe would we have been victorious. After that, we stayed together. "Goblins have always been a victim of sexism, but it seemed that it was worse with orcs. I've seen how they treat women, and its not right by me," the goblin continued. "Errol, I've never told anyone this story before, but I have had experience with a mate that doesn't like me. I was married once, but it never seemed like it. I was forced to marry someone other than the person that I loved, and the worst part was that she didn't like me back at all. We were both forced because I was a mage instead of a warrior, and she was a blacksmith instead of a housewife. All the warriors got housewives, and I was stuck with her. "No matter how hard I tried to love her, she did not love me back. I still had friends which I clung during those years before she was killed, and without them I don't know how I would have gotten through it. Even so, I'd hate to see anyone else have to go through that again. Regardless of whether Hweu likes you or not, it's important to remember that you aren't alone. That's something that I had to keep telling myself when I joined this group. Nobody really likes or trusts me except maybe Aranel, and he turned out to be a warlord anyway," Grunkit chuckled. "Heh heh. It's funny how things work out in life. You can find friends if they accept you. "You know what? I accept you, Errol, for who you are. Not because you're hot, not because you're an orc, but because you're like me, you're a person, and because you deserve a friend. People like us gotta stick together. Come back to camp. You're husband may not accept you, but I do, and you are a valuable part of our group. The worst thing that you can be out here is alone." The goblin cautiously reached out his hand down towards her to help her up. "Don't worry," he laughed. "I won't try any funny business." |

Colton couldn't believe the drama exploding around him, esspcially with a need to fight and continue on with their mission, having to stop to talk about one's feelings seemed at most, a distraction. Loading on the other hand can't help but wish he was a psychiatrist on top of his medical abilities. "You're welcome, it is my job to make sure everyone is okay." he replies to Aranel after being thanked for the patch job. Loading attends to his things, and it isn't until Aranel and Grunkit have a short skirmish. The second Aranel is down and Grunkit walks off, Loading rushes to Aranel's side. "This is not what I sighned up for!" Loading shouts as he props Aranel's head up and checks his airways for unseen damage. Calming down he says, "I'm here to heal you guys from the enemy, not some old fart of a goblin" making sure Grunkit is out of ear shot, Loading continues, "I don't know about you guys, but I think that Grunkit guy is bad news...we shouldn't be laying our hands on eachother, that's the rule" "Sure never stopped me..." Colton says under his breath. Loading continues to check on Aranel, "I suggest, we ditch Grunkit the first chance we get." ((Note: this is all IC TR, I actally love Grunkit, he's awesome!!!)) |

1. Bobby's Characters: Hirzud, Hweu, Noiweh & Wahguo 2. Cyberweasel89's Characters: Adolph, Errol & Kid 3. True Red's Characters: Aranel & Grunkit 4. Max's Characters: Colton & Loading… Hirzud noticed the conflict arising in the camp and began to bark angrily at the members of his pack. To him, there was a disturbance that could reduce the number of his pack and he had to scare them into calming down or result to physical punishment. Hweu yelled at Hirzud to calm down. "Jeez, there's enough craziness happening now already." When Grunkit felled Aranel with a knockout blow Hirzud dashed for the hobgoblin but Hweu used some magic (which surprisingly worked) to restrain the garum. Noiweh went to Aranel's side and asked Loading if there was anything she could do to assist the group medic. She preferred not to take part in the possible expulsion of Grunkit from their group. She had no strong opinions one way or another about the usually comical hobgoblin. Wahguo sighed as he realized he would have to involve himself in this domestic dispute or risk losing key members of the party. He ran off after Grunkit and Errol to try to keep everyone on a relatively even keel. He found the pair of them talking in the woods, shouted loudly to get their attention and said, "I don't really care one way or another but I'd really like to skip all this arguing and get to some legit fighting. Can we agree to calm down from all this and sleep it off? We're all exhausted and cranky from a long day of travel. Besides the sun is going down." He looked up through the canopy of the trees and saw that the last rays of the dusk sunset were dimming. "I brought three sleeping bags. My suggestion is that we sleep here for the night and return in the morning when everyone should be a lot more calm." The beefy dwarf looked up at the orc and hobgoblin and waited for a response with all the patience of a saint…. Edited by Bobby, Dec 8 2012, 09:05.

Adolph started barking with Hirzud as well, but was silenced when the Kid threw a stick at her head. "Shaddup." The wolf obeyed. "Hey, if he dies, can I have his stuff?" the Kid called over to Loading and Noiweh. - - - - - - - - - - Errol allowed Grunkit to help her up, wiping the tears from her cheeks. "Errol thanks goblin. Errol is happily taken, but it nice to feel accepted." The orc turned to see Wahguo walk up. "Need get back to campsite. Errol need check on stew." "Excuse me." A man with a face hidden in wrappings approached the orc, goblin, and dwarf, numerous staffs strapped to his back. "Might I trouble you for a moment? I've been traveling for a while. If you have a campsite nearby, I would be most grateful to share food and bed with you. Not for free, of course. I do not let kindness go unrewarded." |

"Sh!" whispered Grunkit to Wahguo. "Don't yell! Somebody is probably looking for those trolls you fool! You might have alerted them to our presence--" Grunkit sat down. "I'm too old for this. Gimme that sleeping bag." He tore it away from the dwarf and curled up inside. When the man came up, Grunkit popped his head out of the sleeping bag and mocked, "Okay, Mystogan. Come out of nowhere and immediately want to share a campsite with a ragtag group randomly. Yeah, that doesn't sound fishy at all. You wanna try us? Good. My scythe could use a good workout. We don't need money either so go pick up your staffs and find someone who is stupid enough to accept because--" Grunkit curled back up inside his sleeping bag. "I'm really too old for this. Do whatever you want." Soon loud snoring could be heard. Meanwhile, Aranel was beginning to come to and heard murmurs about leaving Grunkit. "No, don't! He's the...only one who...who..." Aranel became unconscious again. Edited by True Red, Oct 15 2011, 19:15.

"Thank you Noiweh, I just need you to hold this bandage down here so that I can tie it up together on the other side...if that makes sense, I'm trying to dumb down my medical speak...not that I think you're dumb!" Bullets of sweat fire out of Loading's head. "I just didn't want to overwhelm you...not that I think you're someone who can be overwhelmed easily...um...yeah." He carefully shut his mouth, just in time to hear The Kid's request, to which Loading would not dignify with a response. |

((finally finished with my 30-page research paper. Hooray!)) 1. Bobby's Characters: Hirzud, Hweu, Noiweh & Wahguo. 2. Cyberweasel89's Characters: Adolph, Errol, Kid & Mysterious Man. 3. True Red's Characters: Aranel & Grunkit. 4. Max's Characters: Colton & Loading…. Hirzud noticed the magical barrier keeping him back, but realized his master was just trying to calm him down. Obviously Hweu had some sort of plan. Hweu did indeed have a plan. Hweu had felt annoyed by the Kid and Grunkit's earlier comments, but was too busy dealing with the situation to respond in time. He spoke at a reasonable volume but not too loud. "Loading and Noiweh, good work with Aranel. I will have to have a talk with Grunkit later about this. We don't want people in our own group harming others. We should leave that to the enemies." Hweu then started doing some quick hand magic when Errol suddenly emerged from the woods. He stopped mid spell and some mosquitoes nearby changed into various Apple products. He found this too confusing to react to and instead ran over to Errol and began apologizing. "I'm sorry. I'm new at this. Maybe you could tell me why you think I am your husband." ((Hweu still doesn't know the little backstory you gave in your earlier post, CW)) Hweu noticed that the meal was almost fully prepared and smelled wonderful. "The others can't miss this." He resumed his spell and suddenly the group in the woods (i.e. Wahguo, Grunkit and the Mysterious) Man appeared as well as a few feet of topsoil and tree litter. Hweu's eyes widened in shock both that he finished the spell successfully and because of this new person. Hweu took out his blasting rod and aimed it at the man. "Who are you?" He really didn't want to cause any more conflict so he said, "Would you mind not doing anything crazy and instead enjoy a nice meal with us? We all really would like to get to bed soon. It's been a long day of travel and we still have a long way to go." "What in blaz-!" exclaimed Wahguo before he put an armored hand over his mouth and quieted down. "Sorry. Volume, right." He surveyed the mystery man and said, "I see you're quite mysterious. You will do well in our little party." Noiweh chuckled at Hweu's assumed role as leader of the party. She did not protest at his actions, but silently made a note to discuss it later. ((brief time skip. =D )) A few minutes later, the meal was ready and everyone was relaxing under the stars enjoying their wonderful food. "Thanks, Errol!" said Hweu sincerely. "This is great! What kinds of vegetables are in this? I haven't seen some of these before." Wahguo was enjoying his meal as well. ((I have to say I'm kind of annoyed that all these plot things are going on away from the rest of the group. I'd like for my characters to defend themselves or argue in some way, but they weren't there when the things were said so they wouldn't know that they should defend themselves… If that makes sense. Basically, I think we should use this meal as a way for 1) Aranel to reveal his Warlord stuff to the group and for him to realize that the group is on his side and will help him through this danger. 2) Grunkit to reveal that he thinks no one likes him and everyone to show that they actually don't hate him (at least my characters). 3) Errol to reveal her backstory with the shaman and early life so Hweu can understand her better and show that he actually does like her. 4) Noiweh to reveal a bit more about Kewaeg and his current danger. What she saw in her vision at the Nematoad Metropolis basically. 5) CW to tell us a bit more about who this mysterious man is. 6) something else one of us thinks of adding. We can do all these things via the ole "…And that's my plan" method. I'd like our group to meld better. We found out in this topic that we've still got a lot of in-character drama to sort out. ))

"Thank you, hus-... Hu-weh-uu." Errol meekly responded. "It mostly broc flower and xander root, with bit of punga fruit for sweetness." She set her bowl down. "Um... Errol need tell hus-... Hu-weh-uu something. Not many know what orc tribe like. Men warriors, hunters. Women mothers, cook, clean, farm, ranch, gather, serve. Errol very good at wanshuck, gain status. Orc warriors say Errol have golden tongue. Errol not proud, but not much be proud of for orc woman. Then, one time, tribe warred with other tribe. Errol sneak out and help warriors. Errol punished, but they realize Errol help. Errol receive warrior training... but only escort women farther out, gather supplies, bodyguard them. Then, in cave, Errol find strange crystal. Made Errol feel strange, but held onto 'cause was pretty. Errol find can make food. Men see Errol value. Errol use new ability, gain more status, so won't need give wanshuck like other women. Tribe prospered, so Errol surprised when men made Errol chief. On night after Rite of Passage, shaman tell Errol she destined to leave tribe. Would marry a human male. Human male warriors would encounter on next raid, but only if Errol give order leave him alive. Errol did. Warriors return with... Hu-weh-uu. Husband. No marriage in orc culture. Just snoo-snoo, to seal deal. When warrior took liking to one of female orc, she gain status as his mate. But, none want take Errol as mate. Errol no have snout like other orc. Errol have ugly nose. Many times Errol want cut off, tired being made fun of... But, Errol though she find husband... But Hu-weh-uu no like. Errol willing... Errol willing go slow." she blushed. "Build up... f-from scratch..." "Hm..." the mysterious man mused. "It seems I've stumbled onto some drama. Let me introduce myself. I'm a simple traveler, nothing more. I am known as Runemeyer." "Errol's name Errol." the orc stated. "I'm just a Kid. The wolf is Adolph. Be warned, she's vicious." the Kid told him. The wolf only panted in response, snapping at a piece of meat that her master tossed her from his bowl of stew. Oddly, though... despite the magic staves strapped to Runemeyer's back... there wasn't a trace of magic coming from him. Only from the staves themselves... |

"This is pretty good Errol," Grunkit said as he ignored Hweu's attempt at being a leader. "And to think, I was about to fall asleep before I had dinner. I must really be tired. Colton, I imagine that you are burning with passion to fight right now, but even you must know that us warriors do need rest before a journey. Hang on until after we sleep. There's bound to be some enemies during that time. Runemeyer, eh? My name's Grunkit. Why are you out here?" Aranel thanked Noiweh and Loading... for their help and then thanked Errol for the meal. He raised an eyebrow to Runemeyer's appearance, but he neither protested nor commended is presence. He finally turned to Grunkit, rubbing his head. "If you were trying to knock some sense in me, you got the knock part down." "Sorry about that, Aranel, but you had it coming," Grunkit told him. "Ever since you got shot in the shoulder with that arrow from Adrena, you haven't been as cool as in previous posts. Why are you so afraid for us? We know you Aranel. Just because you are a warlord does not mean that your personality will change." "It is my duty to be what I am," Aranel explained. "It is my duty to be a warlord, regardless of what I want to be, or how I want to treat people." "Duty shmooty," Grunkit replied. "Do what you want to do; your job's got nothing to do with it. You are a warlord, for crying out loud! You can do whatever you want." "It's not just that," Aranel continued. "I'm pretty sure the other warlords know that I do not know about being a warlord and that I don't know about my potential and my abilities as such. They will come after me to use me against their enemies. Two warlords are hard to match. Our group is full of excellent fighters," He motioned to Kid, Adolph, Colton, Loading... and Noiweh because those were the only ones that he had seen fight. "But I doubt we can hold off a warlord by ourselves. And I doubt that there will just be one warlord after me. So whether or not I choose to embrace my role as a warlord or not, I'm putting you guys in danger regardless. That's enough about me, what about you, Grunkit? You don't seem too happy being a part of this group." Aranel finished. He realized he had probably said too much and quieted down. He didn't like speaking in front of a group. He was a more lead-by-example type rather than a speaker. "Hm. Well I guess..." Grunkit took time to think it over. The focus was now on him, so he figured he might as well say something. "Okay, I know that I am a goblin, and I know that you guys probably aren't too happy about me hitting Aranel over the head, but he needed to stay so I made him. I don't think that there's anything wrong with that. I realize I may have been a little selfish, but when your only friend in the group threatens to leave, it's hard to just let him. It's okay if you hate me; I've gotten used to it. But don't hate me for what my species has done or what I did to Aranel. Hate me for who I am: a past-his prime goblin who just found out that his goal is not achievable. My goal was to stop a new evil from coming by destroying it. But I would never kill Aranel, and he is the new evil." He glanced over to where Aranel was. With all of the focus of the group on Grunkit, Aranel recognized his chance and left. "Normally I'd go look for him, but I've already had a full day what with knocking him out cold and getting Errol to come back, I'd say I'm just about done with. Besides, we don't know what he can do with his warlord prowess, but I'd say he's way too far away by now. We shouldn't travel during the night especially with trolls around. Now, unless you guys have anything to say to me, I'm going to get some shuteye." He closed his eyes, still awake just in case someone wanted to speak to him, but on his way into his dreams. |

((2 week rule)) After 3 months of waiting for this post to be responded to, Grunkit had fallen asleep since no one wanted to talk to him apparently. He woke up from his looooooong slumber and heard someone approaching. He grabbed his scythe initially, but saw that it was Aranel and relaxed. Aranel took a deep breath as he returned to camp. He was glad to see that his time away did not cause anything to change, or even the group to move on. "I am sorry to leave you without telling you, but last time I tried to tell you, I was knocked unconscious," Aranel shot a glance at Grunkit. "But I finally found out what happened to me." "Care to explain? And are you going to be a bad warlord?" Grunkit asked, somewhat disinterestedly. He did want to know what happened to Aranel, but he also was lethargic due to his excessive alcohol intake. Aranel explained his story including his decision about what he would do. ((His story can be found in this topic.)) After he finished he continued, "So what do you think?" He waited for the others to respond, and hoped that it wouldn't take 3 more months to do so. |

Loading was glad to have some encouragment on his job as the groups doctor while Colton on the other hand couldn't help but notice Hweu's sudden nack for barking out orders. As the mysterious man appeard and later even shared a meal with the group, Colton couldn't help but be annoyed by the fact that they seem to be taking in stranger and stranger characters, a choice that may have deadly consequences. While introductions started, Loading joined in. "I'm Loading, the groups doctor." Colton remains silent in the face of their new aquaintance but kept an eye or two on him at all times. Sitting infront of a bowl slightly larger than himself, Loading's teeth began to chatter at the sudden drama sprouting around the group, and infront of their quest. |

![]() Ezekiel wasn't in the best mood today. He'd been dumped here rather unceremoniously, and since then, his wanderings had left him running into the worst kinds. When he'd heard voices in the distance, his face had grown dark with concern and worry over the possibility of another scuffle. With a bit of a sigh, his hands went to behind his head and he leaned to take a look towards the camp. It was a rather larger group of people than he was used to, but he'd manage. He always did. That was when he felt a snap under his boot. Dammit. That meant his presence wasn't going to be a secret much longer. Glancing up, he figured he'd take an attempt at hiding in the branches. Rapidly, he attempted to scale the tree, though in his haste, he missed a branch part of the way up and felt himself slip. Today was not his day. He fell from the tree with barely a sound, making a bit more noise when he landed on his back. He was't going to be prepared to handle this situation if they were hostile. Dammit... Dammit dammit dammit. |

((Sorry for the wait. I won't point fingers or anything; let's just keep going. In order to do that I need to timeskip to the morning and probably after breakfast. I'll do that after my characters introduce themselves and respond.)) Hweu interrupted Errol's blushing rant with a big hug. "Yes, let's go slow. You have potential." He gave her a big smile as he broke off the hug, but still kept an arm around her back. Turning to the new arrival he said, "I am Hweu, the resident mage." Wahguo grunted and said, "Name's Wahguo. I still don't rightly trust you yet, but you haven't tried to kill us all yet either." Hirzud barked at the newcomer but didn't growl. His master seemed to be okay with him so he would be too. Noiweh smiled as she finished helping Loading... and said, "They call me Noiweh. Nice to meet you, Runemeyer." In response to Aranel's revealing to be a warlord on standby, Noiweh was the first to speak. "Happy to have you back, Aranel. Apple, huh? Cool nickname." Wahguo grunted at Aranel's return and said, "I too am glad to have you back, but I think I need to first express to our goblin friend here just how much I appreciate him." The dwarf turned to the goblin and said, "Hey, man. What made you so down back there? You know I appreciate your drunken stories. Out of this whole bunch, you're probably the one that gets me best. Either you or Colton, over there." Hweu said nothing but walked over to Aranel and patted him on the back adding, "Welcome back." Then he walked to Grunkit and patted him on the back. "I'm your friend here, too." After the delicious meal, Hweu went to bed in the same tent as Errol, telling her how much he enjoyed her cooking, but made certain that he and the orc were not touching so as not to get the wrong impression. Wahguo enjoyed the meal too, but didn't say so and instead conked out right away sleeping by himself. Noiweh helped clean up the campsite for the night then she too went to sleep. Hirzud curled up outside the tent that Errol and Hweu were sleeping in. Suddenly Noiweh heard a noise with her enhanced elven hearing. She guessed that Aranel and Loading and possibly Grunkit heard it too. She approached the sound with such grace that even an elf would have to be impressed. She saw that the newcomer was on his back and realized that he may need her help. She noticed him tensing at her approach, but she offered her hand to help him up.... #Hirzud #Hweu_Lish #Noiweh_Siwe #Wahguo_Shoif ((I want to be able to move on in this topic too and explain my plotline. But I need to get it to be morning so that they can find Kewaeg and get caught up about the plot. So please try to respond with your characters waking up in the morning and doing morning things. Thank you.)) Edited by Bobby, May 1 2013, 11:10.

That night, the mysterious man known as Runemeyer only pretended to be asleep. When he was sure everyone in the group was sleeping, he got up, walking over to Aranel's tent. "I've finallly found you, Warlord..." he whispered, readying a staff from his back that was made of narled wood and topped with what looked like four clawed fingers holding a red orb. "Now I shall finally carry out my mission... Now I shall finally kill you..." Edited by Cyberweasel89, Jan 23 2013, 18:11.

Before Aranel went to bed, he replied to Noiweh, "You think Apple is a cool nickname? Thank you." He blushed. After Wahguo and Hweu said that they liked Grunkit, the old goblin warned, "I was not asking anyone to say that they liked me. You should not like me as much as you do. I've done some things I'm not proud of, and I have to live with those actions for the rest of my life. Additionally, my goal is not acheivable, I'm old, and I'm a drunk. Thanks for the support, but the reason I didn't think anyone liked me is because I don't like me. Because of that, you shouldn't either." He turned away, not wanting to hear anything else from the group, not even Aranel. He finished his food, and then drank himself to sleep under the stars. Aranel helped Noiweh clean up the campsite for the night and then lied down iside his tent. During the night, Aranel was not sleeping either and immediately pointed his knife at Runemeyer's throat. "I have precognition remember? I knew that you were going to do this, but the others had accepted you so I did not want to disturb the group." Aranel's muscles relaxed, but he did not lower his blade or loosen his grip. "Don't worry," he began. "I won't hurt you. I just want you to listen to me before you attack." He suddenly noticed that his shirt was drenched with sweat and he was starting to shake. He was facing death right now. He sighed, "I am a warlord; that much is true. But it is also the honest truth that I did not know that I was. I believed myself to be an elf of upstanding character and virtue, following whatever my duty was to the letter. You must believe that I became that person. Unfortunately, I know that I must have wronged you in some way in the past, but I am not the same person I was when I was a warlord. Please believe me. I do not know what horrible thing I did to you, and frankly I could not bear it if I did. It must be very terrible if it warrants death, but I would like to say to you from the bottom of my heart, that whatever I did to you, I am completely, deeply, and sincerely sorry. I probably will never be able to make it better, and I understand that. But you do not know how much I wish I could." With tears in his eyes, he continued, "I don't expect you to accept my apology, and you shouldn't because I don't deserve it." He sheathed his knife, and tore open his shirt exposing his chest. He closed his eyes. "If you feel that my action warrants death, then by all means kill me. I won't stop you because I must atone for my sins. My only wish is that after I die, my transgression can be made right. Tell Noiweh that I--" Grunkit burst into Aranel's tent, groggy, with mead drooling out of one side of his mouth. Nostrils flared, he was grumbling in an unintelligible language until he shouted, "Shut up, elf, people are tryin' to sleep 'round here!" He shook his fist at the archer. "Stop talking! And you masked man," he turned to Runemeyer, and pointed at him. "What're you doin' inside his tent? I have half-a-mind to smack you to kingdom..." Grunkit's eyes became heavier, he blinked a few times, and they closed for several moments but then flew wide open. "...to kingdom..." He lost his balance and stumbled about in the tent, breathing heavily. "...to kingdom...come." His eyes closed and he fell down and began snoring loudly. |

"Your lies won't phase me, Warlord. My mission is to kill you, and I intend to do so. The Empire has deemed you a rogue agent, and so you need to be terminated. But that's what you get for not reporting in for so long. Prepare to die, Warlord." Runemeyer let go of the staff he was holding, which began to float in the air. It hovered between his outstretched palms, a spark of fire emerging from the red orb atop it. The fire spread to surround the tent in a wild blaze, the radiant heat felt by all three who were within the ring of flames. "Burning alive would be a rather painful death. Would you prefer a more merciful death at my hands, Warlord?" |

"I was not lying," Aranel answered. "I was telling you the truth. If you do not believe me, you are entitled to do so. And if I may inquire, which empire are you referring to?" Aranel stopped then, realizing that Runemeyer would not tell him. It was ironic. Runemeyer was just like Aranel. It did not matter what his personal beliefs were. Runemeyer had a duty and would carry it out no matter what. Aranel never guessed that he would be killed by someone with the same honor and sense of duty as himself. Of course, on the other hand, Aranel never guessed that he would be a warlord either. Aranel felt the sting of heat in the cold night, and glanced down at Grunkit. Then he took a step back. Grunkit's mouth was drooling mead and saliva. Alcohol was extremely flammable. In quick reply to Runemeyer, he explained, "No. No mercy. I have done terrible things. However, would you please spare this goblin? He has nothing to do with this--" A startled Grunkit, still groggy, jumped to his feet and started swinging his oversized scythe around and around. The heat must have awakened him. Aranel had to duck and dodge several times. "I'll kill ya!" Grunkit exclaimed. Then he blinked a few times. "Oh, it was just a nightmare. Phew. Wait, where am I?" Noting the fire, he asked, "Is this hell?!?!?" Aranel answered him, "No, my dear friend. You are still alive. You just had a nightmare. Now please, leave us. I don't want anymore innocent deaths as a cause of me." "Deaths?" Grunkit demanded. He growled, "Now you listen here, Runemeyer. You brought trouble into this group, and I did not want you here from the start. I give you my word, that if you do anything to harm even so much as one hair on anyone's scalp (or face, in Wahguo's and Hirzud's case, heh) that I will kill you. And another thing--" Suddenly Grunkit fell. Aranel knelt beside him. "Be at peace." He turned to Runemeyer as he stood up. "He's not dead. Just asleep from a spell. Now please, do not kill this goblin. Now continue with this execution for the severity of my sins. It is my duty to be killed. I could not have asked for a better ending, to pass away while doing my duty." Aranel closed his eyes. He thought of each one of his comrades and smiled a bit, glad to have been part of such a merry group. The images of them rushed through his head until resting on Noiweh. With her picture firmly placed in his mind, he was finally ready to die. |

BOBBY HIRZUD, HWEU Lish, NOIWEH Siwe, & WAHGUO Shoif. CYBERWEASEL89 RUNEMEYER. MAX COLTON Black & LOADING…. TRUE RED ARANEL Elendin & GRUNKIT. UPBEAT LOBSTER EZEKIEL. . In a flash of fire, Noiweh burst through a hole in the tent she had just cut with her more than meets the eye edged longbow and in a mighty cry brought her bow down onto Runemeyer's raised staff. A split second the fires went out from a spell she had just used. She hit the staff with enough force to likely disrupt the spell and possibly break the staff in two. She then shouted something and her eyes turned bright green. (additional Noiweh avatar goes here) "Do not harm this elf!" she shrieked in a very un-Noiweh-like manner. Her eyes glowed with an anger like that of a woman who was about to lose her lover. Her emotions even surprised her, but she ignored the surprise for the time being and focused on making this intruder as intimidated as possible. She "Put the staff down and I MAY let you leave this camp alive!"... Edited by Bobby, Sep 25 2013, 02:45.

The masked man hesitated at the sight of the elven girl. "My mission directives are only to kill the Warlord. I cannot harm an innocent girl, even if he is a coward for using you as a human shield. I'll leave... for now." The mysterious man turned and ran from the camp, pulling out an odd crystal from his cloak. Crushing it in his palm, he threw it to the ground, vanishing in a sparkle of light. Now morning could finally come for the forest group. |

grunkit was surprisingly not awakened by all the noise that Noiweh created. Aranel, on the other hand, was stunned by the aggression of Noiweh. He was so startled that he couldn't do anything until after Runemeyer left. "Noiweh..." Aranel began, but he couldn't think of anything to say so he stopped. Noiweh cared for him. Grunkit cared for him. As far as he knew, others in the group cared for him as well. He knew that in his forest home, those who only knew him as Aranel and not as Apple cared for him too. He had been so focused on dying as a penance for his past, that he had neglected to realize what his death meant for the people who cared about him. Even if he didn't believe that he deserved to live, those who cared for him believed otherwise. If he lived for them, that could be a way that he would atone for what he did in the past, and he wouldn't have to die. There was a new purpose. If he was dead, they would be sad, and Aranel refused to let his actions make anymore people sad than those that he had wronged in the past. The same thing could have been said if he would have left the group forever. "Thank you," he finished. He looked into her eyes. "I will stay with you guys. Thank you for supporting me through all this, and if the others were awake, I'd tell them the same. If danger does come because of me, I apologize in advance. I realize that because of my revelation in being a warlord, I need you...er, all of the people in this group, now more than ever." He paused, thinking if he should say more, but thought better of it. "Get some sleep Noiweh. You deserve it. I will too. He lied down inside of his tent and slept till morning. Grunkit would have heard the same noise as Noiweh, but he was too intoxicated and asleep from a spell to notice. Aranel heard it and woke up too. He moved toward the newcomer. As Noiweh held out her hand, Aranel kept his own hand on his knife, just in case. It was morning now, And Aranel realized that he and Grunkit needed to do some morning things, after this ordeal was over. The elf would let Grunkit sleep though. Grunkit was old, drunk, tired, and under a spell that would not wear off until an hour from now. The goblin didn't want to wake up anyway. He was having a dream of sitting on a huge throne, surrounded by keg after keg of mead as well as a harem of female goblins wanting to be closer to him. In addition, best of all for him, Grunkit was young again. |
