BALKAN TOWER, 2100 HOURS
"Ladies and gentlemen of the board, I present to you...our new prototype armor" Thomas Hobnail said, standing in front of a large group of the richest business owners in the city, all wearing crisp pressed tuxedos that are "worth more than your life", as well as a group of military officials.

A man came out from behind a screen, wearing a strange, heavily plated armor. On his arms were large "wings", shaped in a sort of curved hourglass. On the sides were brilliantly glowing lasers of prismatic color. In front was a Tesla coil, sparking continuously with thousands of watts of electricity.

"Here we see the heavy model. As you can see, all armor is banked, designed to reflect rocket propelled grenades. On his arms are large depleted uranium shields. The edges are razor sharp, as he will now demonstrate."

The man in the bulky suit walked forward heavily and slashed diagonally through the podium which the colonel was speaking at. The podium did nothing for a few seconds, then flashed brilliantly and slid apart into two pieces.

"The laser is used for extra cutting power. Observe." Thomas said, grabbing a large piece of armor, obviously struggling under its weight. He placed it between two blocks and stopped for a second or two to catch his breath. He then secured it with a vise grip so that it was vertical.

"This is the closest replica to Codename Swordsman's armor we could find. Obviously, it's a great deal more thick, but it matches the consistency quite well. Heavy, go at it."

The heavy walked over, facial respirator emitting hot blasts of steam every now and again. He lifted his wing, carefully aimed, then dropped it directly down onto the armor. It cleanly split as he did, sizzling.

"That takes care of Codename Swordsman. In addition, the suit has climate control, I.E. if the heavy were to be frozen..." Thomas said, grabbing a liquid nitrogen sprayer from a chest and spraying it at the heavy. The heavy froze almost instantly. "Well, just watch."

Thomas counted down, mouthing "Three...two...one". Suddenly the suit's frozen exterior became red-hot and the nitrogen fizzled away. The heavy moved his joints to show that it did not do any damage to his armor.

"Cool Hand Carl now has no effect. As for Firebrand Fred, or whatever you call him..." Thomas withdrew a flamethrower from the chest and shot a three-second burst at the armor. While this was happening, the armor was visibly turning blue to compensate for the change in temperature.

"So much for Fred's powers. Heatstroke as well, the armor deflects radiation."

"You may have noticed by now that the arm looks quite a bit like a shield. Well...there's a reason for that." Thomas explained. He snapped his fingers and the heavy kneeled down, putting both arms forward. Suddenly hydraulics lifted both shields up to a full 90 degrees. All this happened in less than a second.

"Since this is a guerrilla war, you never know when you'll be attacked. That's why we created this system. It's braced pretty well, it takes a lot to harm it. Well, that's about it gentleman, any questions?"

A corporate stiff raised his hand.
"Yes?"
"Does the suit have any safeguards in case the occupant becomes unwilling to serve us?"
"But of course." Thomas said, withdrawing a controller from his pocket. He pressed this button and the heavy's head exploded. The headless body fell to its knees and eventually face down on the floor.
"A clean, blood-free exit. It fully vaporizes the head so there's no nasty clean-up. The signal for this controller is heavily encrypted and broadcast through two separate frequencies, so it is very difficult to tap. It would require a COMMUNICATIONS EXPERT (((nudge nudge))) to crack the signal, and even then we could switch it soon enough to save 50% of our troops."

Another stiff stood up.
"Does it have any weaknesses?"
"But of course. Heavy 2, come here."
A second Heavy came lumbering over to the captain. The captain directed him to the floor-to-ceiling window.
"The lasers, if hit with a mirror, will cause a violent system failure. Just to demonstrate..." Thomas took a decorative multicolor mirror off of the wall and broke a chunk off with his hobnail boot.
"It doesn't have to be the shiniest thing ever, it just has to reflect. Observe." Thomas whipped the mirror at the laser. For a split second, the beam was interrupted. The suit began beeping rapidly, and the pace became more and more rapid. The suit exploded, breaking the window and causing the heavy's body to fall the 150 stories to the street. Thomas watched it bounce violently off the street and grinned out of one side of his mouth. Every corporate head honcho stared indignantly.

"Do you have any idea how much it will cost to repair that?"

Burn it up'n tear it down
Raze this city to the tarnished ground
While the war pigs falsely weep
The city will lie in a golden heap
- "A Dream", Me

"Total slaughter, total slaughter.
I won't leave a single man alive.
La de da de die, genocide.
La de da de dud, an ocean of blood.
Let's begin the killing time."
