the problem with that is the following. it's much more content than any ps3 or xbox game out there. and certain members of you lot already pay cash to play multiplayer games so why not this one? (XBL anyone?) |

No Argument is invalid craig - hes got a point to an extent but there is a flaw as pointed out to that point xbox live while it should be free is different - it allows online gaming for all games not just one - altho I do think that it is expensive and it should be done away it still is far more reasonable than paying twice the xbox live membership just for one game. Still there are alot of decent reviews out for the game at the mo but theres alot more bad reviews about it - i wonder what the gameplay is really like?

want a buddy key? a week of free play isn't anything to be sniffed at. in addition, i'm the second biggest trekkie i know (and i know quite a few saddo's) and i love the game, it could have been so different, i'm glad that they didn't give into the entirety of the youth culture of blowing shit up. the majority of missions are exploration and solving disputes. Yes the graphics aren't top of the range. but they're better than Legacy and it's alot more playable. |

oh, forgot to add. i've played wow briefly (at jody's) and hated it. i played LOTR: O in beta and loved it, so brought the lifetime pass. for £100 i got lifetime access. i still play it. i've long since passed the point where it paid for itself. yes it's a gamble....is it going to last the x amount of months to make it worth it. but with the fan base of trek, there's no doubt in it. reviews mean nothing to trek fans....right? Legacy is the biggest selling ST game of all time despite being an absolute pile of steaming camel shit. Paying to play games is the same. the price is independent. i will not pay to play a multiplayer game....except where i think it's worth it....Beta gives me that opportunity.....if i'd been able to play MW2 before i bought it i'd never have even thought about it. Demo's and Beta's give you that chance. if you want to pay, fine, if you don't who cares. |
