"When Ryan died, one of your soldiers was kind enough not only to tell me, but to return his suit to my father. My father never used the suit, never even took it out of the box it was sent in, so now I use it, in memory of my brother. I was thanking your soldier when you started the roll call." |

"Is his mobile suit still in tact? I remember that he was killed out of battle. I was at the diner with him when the shells came from an artillery installation to the North. A lot of good men didn't make it out of dinner that day. It was a sad moment for the entire squad when we had to bring home half a regiment in body bags." |

"I am sorry for your squad, I just know that had Ryan died while using his suit, I would never have been able to use it. I am having a few updates put into it now, it isn't the best at working in antartic temperatures"

The whistles screech ripped Halina from her sleep and in the process from her bed. Scrambling out of her sheet, she dusted herself off, pushed up her glasses and ducked out of the tent. The sun was almost as bad as the whistle, a blinding wake up call. She started jogging over to the sound of the voice, hoping she wasn't last this time. It hadn't been long since she was transferred in the squad, and with her record there was no extraneous need for getting yelled at. Finding a spot in the forming roll call line she saluted yet held off on speaking for fear of interupting General Moore's call. |

"Sir, I think I see some of the Fairy penguins I am researching right now, so I will have to sign off for now, but if you ever need help in the Antartic, I'm your woman." |

"Well, if u need anything De'Fairy, my squad will keep in touch with you, at least for the sake of Ryan's memory," said Kannon as he handed the sattelite phone back down to the soldier who had given it to him. He then noticed the clumsy looking medic that had just filed into line nearby and pointed at her, saying, "You, medic. Name and rank, and why are you late?" |

Halina was greatly confused at the thought of fairies being nearby and jumped up a foot when the General pointed at her. She was always nervous when it came to figures of authority, they just were always intimidating like senators or midget wrestlers. Looking at his nose, she held her pose and responded in a loud voice, "Halina Volya, a Private Medic and Sir I was late due to being with held by my bed sheet Sir! I promise to not let it happen again. . .Sir!" Still looking nervously at his nose, she waited to be ordered laps. They always went for laps. In fact by now she was a first-class lapper. Super-lapper! At least they like "Sirs", or usually they do. Must make the army people feel like they are being served in a restuarant. That was all she could think about as she waited for the reprimand. |

"Halina eh? Don't let it happen again," he said, pulling up a chart he was holding at his side. He looked it over once and saw that this was her 28th squad she had been assigned to. "I would hate to have to put another black mark on your record," he said, rolling his eyes a little, "What exactly do you seek from this squad Halina? Tell me exactly why i shouldn't just pass you along to another squad like all of the other captains you have been under?" |

A sigh almost escaped her lips before she noted his eyes rolling. He was mocking her wasn't he? Oh he was wasn't he! Hali's temper flared at the idea. Meeting his gaze with violent eyes, she stopped herself from doing something stupid. Her medical bag was back in the tent and he didn't get to his position through being a weakling. At least laps were not involved, though laps were much better than being made fun of. Clenching her left fist behind her she spoke in a clear voice, "I seek nothing from this squad except the ability to serve my country. And when you have a chunk of steel resting your gut, you'll wish you had someone with the expertise to make sure your intestines and liver don't decide to cop out thirty minutes later due to massive internal bleeding. Jaundice is not a great fashion statement, Sir." She may be clumsy, dissheveled and have a worse record than rasputin, but god damn if her skill in medicine was to questioned. |

"Well somebody seems a little ferocious all of the sudden," said Kannon, determined to make sure to not kill the disobedient soldier like he had accidentily done to the last one who spoke out against him. "You need to work on that temper of yours Ms. Halina. I would hate to see you get hurt because you use it inapropriately. You are very lucky that this squad is in need of a medic Ms. Halina. Very lucky indeed." |
