the 'opposite' political party? Or voted opposite to how you vote now? I, gulp, voted for Carter. He had one good idea....Habitat for Humanity....and I bit. Ok, so a woman was involved. |

No, I have never voted for the opposition party. I do vote for the person rather than party. I weigh my options and vote for the greater good. |

never voted a straight ticket in my life. Never felt like one side was right and the other side was wrong. Both sides have thei good points and bad. I too vote for the man, not the party. |

Yes, A few years ago there were 5 parties in contention in Canada for a federal election. The traditional Conservative & Liberal parties, the left wing NDP, The separatist Bloc Quebeqois and the "right of conservative", Reform Party. I voted reform. Why? Well it was a foregone conclusion the liberals were going to win. The party who comes in second is the official opposition. They get many financial benefits over the also ran parties. That particular year it really looked like the separatist Bloc was going to get enough seats to become official opposition. I looked at my own area and tried to determine which party was likely to win that area. The answer was Reform, so I voted for them and sure enough they won that area. They managed to get enough seats to become the official opposition (barely). I though it very unhealthy to have a party dedicated to the breakup of the country as official opposition with access to all the advantages that provides. So i voted the opposite of what I normally would (NDP). Reform later merged with the Conservatives, leaving Canadian politics a 4 party system.. |

Yup, and he has/had at least one very, very attractive (distant) family member. I also liked HHH. And, there was a time in my life when I would not have dreamed of carrying a concealed weapon. Edited by spearchucker, Aug 7 2012, 07:44 PM.

I used to be a repub a long time ago until I realized thet their rhetoric was empty. I voted for some dems until I realized that their promises were empty. Now, I've grown up, smartened up and realize that there really is only one "major party" a herd of donkephants which has been over grazing on our land for way toooo long! |
