I'm afraid not. It does have something to do with my past walls, though.

Maybe I'll have to give a couple more clues. However, for one combo, I can't think of any clues that wouldn't be complete giveaways.

I'll give that to you as an invented combo if you can explain how 'magnetic' and 'vessel' fit in.

"Magnetic" often complicates airplane security testing because it can offset the metal detectors used when going on a flight. A sort of magnetic testing is done to search for weapons before entering the flight (or shall I say "vessel").

"Vessel" refers to the aircraft itself, and the ability to enter the aircraft after being tested by security.

Then I think I can accept it :) .

Thanks. I'm actually not 100% sure about the magnetic one, but it seemed fitting. "Vessel" in the sources I've used refer to an aircraft.

Final clue - if I don't get any guesses within 24 hours, then I'm going to void this wall:

So is 'Ford' :P . Either way, it's a good invented combo. I think I'll give you the 10 bonus points for it, since it could easily have been a main combo.

Finite/Navy/Semantic/Magnetic - _____ Field

Oddball is Navy, because all the others are separated from 'Field' by a space.

Correct reasoning, but the combo isn't quite right.

The combo and its oddball are open only to you for the next 24 hours (or 3 guesses).

Wimbledon/Dance/Barking/Heathrow Terminal 5: all represent sports

Wimbledon: tennis
Dance: dance
Barking: dog races
Heathrow Terminal 5: airplane races

Here's another guess for the field comb:

Finite/Navy/Nuclear/Magnetic

@Adam: TBH, I think that's a real stretch. Firstly, because 'dance' doesn't really qualify as a sport; secondly, because barking is only distantly connected to dog racing (both are things that dogs do); and thirdly, because I'm not aware of any plane races that have taken place from Heathrow Terminal 5.

With only one of those problems, I could probably allow it as an invented combo, but with all three, I'm afraid it's too vague a connection.

@Daniel: I'm afraid that's incorrect.

It was only a joke. I have no sane idea what any of these combos are.

@Adam: Well, I guess it was better than no idea at all, and therefore worth a try :P . I'll see if I can think of some more clues.

@Daniel: Close, but also not quite correct.

Again, not quite right. One of the words you're consistently using is in a different combo.

Now that you've made 3 guesses, the 'Field' combo is open to anyone.

Marshal/Semantic/Finite/Magnetic - Fields

Also, oddball must be marshal as field comes before it, rather than after.

Taking a risk, I see. Since that's your 5th guess for today, it would be a 10-point deduction if it wasn't the correct main combo.

However, it was!

Actually, counting my first guess (the invented combo), I think I've had six so far, so I should have had a 10 point deduction for the last one.

Actually, you did.

So, I'll deduct 10 points for that - but give them back since you got the oddball right :P .
