So, this one will be free, but additional ones will be 10 points each?

I'm fine with that.

Yes. You gotta really think about this clue. It's not easy. At random infrequent times I will also post clues.

It will cost 10 posts. Are you willing to do that?

That's as big as it gets, but there's more clues in the link itself.

Thinking about the green ribbon: if you get 15 or more combos, you get a green ribbon.

Thanks - that's actually quite helpful. I saw the text on the left, and mistakenly thought that first name was Antony, or Antonio, or something like that :P .

It's at least as helpful as receiving an answer to a question, but it costs fewer points. I think questions are overpriced (unless it's something very general), and these are a bit underpriced if there are clues in the URL. Maybe 15 points for each would be fairer?

Works for me. I'll make the changes.
Changes:

-15 points for public clue
-15 points to have a bigger version of any of the pictures
-25 points for private clue
-15 points public question to answer
-30 points private question to answer
-10 points for freezing a combo in a 24 hour period
-lose 25 points for incorrect combo after your daily 3 guesses
-lose 25 points for incorrect reasoning after daily 3 reasonings

Bear with me here! I'm still testing out this new idea!

I understand - I know from my own experience just how much trial and error is involved.

1/9/13/16 - All actors

It's a pretty vague reasoning, so if it's right, I expect it'll be more specific than that.

Works for an invented combo!

4/6/12/16 - All using some form of transportation.

4 looks like he's in a car or something...
6 and 12 are obvious.
16 is riding a horse?

You're on to something, but incorrect. Close main combo.

CJ, yours is off. Sorry.

Close, but no. Reasoning is close, but not specific enough.

Combo correct and reasoning close enough for me to give you 50 points (it was everyone riding something, but I like sitting better).

You have found the two easiest combos now.

It is Phil Mickelson.

I will subtract 15 points.

#4 isn't a sports man but I'll give you the combo because they're all doing sports (and I intended an invented combo to be about sports).

1/2/5/16 - All served in the US military?

(I'm sort of guessing, as I still don't know who everyone is)

Close to an invented combo I suppose (after some research), but your reasoning is not entirely truthful. If you give me an appropriate reasoning, it could be an extra ten points, though I'd have to think about it since one is an odd one out.

The main combo has nothing to do with the military. Instead, it has to do with the event of the picture rather than the generalization of "war" itself.

So, the Iraq War? The only one I know of who would have any connection to it is #17 (most likely, he would have been highly critical of it).

I'll guess 5/11/13/17 for the Iraq War combo (just because they're all prime numbers :P )

Sorry, that's not it.

Think more around the time the Iraq War happened. It has nothing to do with the war itself.
