Pink Panther
Sooty
Creeper
Florence Nightingale

If not:

Pink Panther
Sooty
Creeper
Art Garfunkel

Sorry, it's a pain scrolling back for numbers...

Neither of those is correct. Remember, the reasoning is characters who can't/don't talk.

So would it be Pink Panther/Sooty/Creeper/Chell, then?

Yes, it would be that.

Still two main combos to go (out of Duke Nukem, Florence Nightingale, Leon Trotsky, Michael Jordan, Art Garfunkel, Usain Bolt, Timo Glock and Lance Armstrong).

Great. Another one of my combos stolen. I had three of those right.

I don't have any time for any others, so right now I'll pass. Will probably end up losing now because I'll miss all the clues or something.

I don't care anymore. It's too time consuming for me to even put in a hopeless effort.

1) You're still 105 points ahead.
2) You still have the reasoning points from that combo.
3) If I did split PL's combo points with you, I'd then also have to split your points for 7 / 13 / 14 / 15 with Jarkko, because he tried and failed to get that one - so you wouldn't actually gain anything from it.

There's no way you can describe this as a "hopeless effort". You're only 30 points away from a ribbon!

I'm just sick of wasting my time trying to guess walls when I never get close to guessing them. That's all. I'm fine with PL getting the combo, I just had no time for rebuttal. To be honest though, I think Jarrko did have the combo. The only reason I got it was from him. He should have gotten all the points.

These contests are way too in-depth that I'm spending more research trying to figure them out than I am spending time doing my homework.

So unless the ideas just pop into my head, I'm done for now. I like hosting walls far better anyway.

Sorry for being the jerk that I am.
All surnames contain a first name within them.

#15: John Lennon (Len; someone was also named Lennon after John Lennon)
#13: Michael Jackson (Jack or Jackson)
#19: Boris Johnson (John)
#10: Michael Jordan (Jordan)

Well, your homework certainly comes first - but I'll say now that one of the two remaining main combos doesn't require any research at all. All of the information necessary for it can be found in this topic (so, the wall itself and the list of names).

I added an invented combo last post (by edit).

All achieved numerical records: 10/17/18/20

Lance Armstrong had his taken away, but he still "achieved" it at one time.

I like your first invented combo - I can definitely allow it.

As for the second one, what numerical record did Timo Glock achieve? Or did you mean 10/17/19/20? (Boris Johnson's record being the largest personal mandate of any politician in British history)

I meant Timo Glock with racing and titles. I was more looking for a reasoning rather than combo.

Oh, OK. As far as I'm aware, he hasn't set any records (certainly not any significant ones). He's one of the few drivers to have scored points in his first race, but that's not really a 'record'.

I give up. Actually, I don't, but I'm saying it.

Well, you were along the right lines earlier (looking at their names).

Now, here's another clue:

4/17/18/20 - all have weapons named after them

Glock pistol
Armstrong gun
Bolt

I threw Duke Nukem in since he seems the most likely out of the remaining five.

Yep, that's a correct main combo, so you win 50 points!

5/6/10/16 is therefore automatic.

Does the last combo happen to be that they all pursued degrees in mathematics?

Yes, that's the reasoning!

That's also all of the main combos solved. There's space for one more invented combo, but after that, this wall will be complete.

No, you can't have that one :P . The maximum size of an invented combo is 10 pictures.

Figured I'd try. :P

2/7/10/14/17/18/20:

All are wearing mandatory outfits/uniforms

Luna Lovegood has to wear a school uniform
Michael Jordan has to wear his jersey
Ayrton Senna has to wear his racing suit
Timo Glock also has to wear his racing suit
Bolt has to wear his jersey
Lance Armstrong has to wear his jersey
Gaddalfi has to wear military uniform

If that doesn't work, then:

3/11/13: glitter is in the picture

Michael Jackson and Miley Cyrus are wearing glitter, while glitter is on Sooty's wand

I think I can allow that one. It's the longest - and one of the best - invented combos we've ever had!

The final scores are, therefore, as follows:

thecostumedanceparty: 400
PL-Stokie: 265
Jarkko: 25

Congrats, Adam! You win 200 posts and a Green Ribbon. Daniel would win 133 posts if he accepted post prizes, while Jarkko wins 13 posts for his efforts.

Split my posts among the second and third places please (I get 50, PL 30 if he wants, Jarkko 20). The ribbon means more. I don't really need all the posts.

PL keeps me on my toes.

Well, I'm guessing Daniel won't accept the post prizes anyway :P .

I've added the ribbon now, though :) .

50, 30 and 20 still only makes 100. I guess you'd keep the other 100?

I'll take 100 and the rest can go to whoever accepts it.

Just to confirm, I still don't accept posts as prizes.

Congratulations, Adam! You deserve the ribbon!

Thanks! You did great too.

If no one accepts the posts, then I guess I'll take them then. I don't mind giving Jarkko 50 though. Participants should get a prize seeing as we don't see many others these days.

OK, so you can have 150, and Jarkko can have 50 (plus the 13 he won from his points, so he gets 63 in total).

That basically concludes this contest, so I'll close the topic. Hopefully, it won't be long before the next wall is up!
