Not sure how many guesses I have left, but I'll give it a try (I'm guessing this is my last toward a combo): 1/3/4/8: all protagonists |

For the main combo I had, is the reasoning that they are all connected to manslaughter charges/deaths?

This is harder than I thought. I've been looking all over the place. Could it have something to do with head or brain injuries by chance?

No, it isn't. There is a reason why I recommended Wikipedia, as opposed to any other source. |

3/10/17/20 - All hold records. Sooty is the longest running children's TV show. Michael Jordan holds a few basketball records. Lance Armstrong holds the record for the most Tour de France wins. Usain Bolt holds the world record in the 100m (and I think the 200m). |

I guess you mean 5/8/10/12/17/20? Anyway, that's a pretty inventive combo, and it's pretty big, so it's worth 30 points! |

It doesn't actually contain any of the three remaining main combos - and even if it did, the reasoning is different enough for me to have allowed it anyway. |

I suppose I can class Sooty's wand as a weapon, so I can allow that as an invented combo. By the way, the 'weapons' clue has nothing to do with any actual weapons which appear in the pictures. |

Well, for the second one, there is mathematics on the board. That is significant - though you don't need to know any maths at all to get the combo. Also significant is the fact that the speech bubble (for the third clue) has nothing in it. |

Reasoning is close enough for me to give you the points; the reasoning is that they don't talk (either because they choose not to or they just can't - though the Pink Panther is in the combo, even though he does speak on very rare occasions). Combo isn't quite right, though. |
