#6 is Leon Trotsky, and #15 is John Lennon. I'll count that as two questions, though, since I'm revealing two separate pieces of information. |

Questions don't cost points? Aren't those supposed to be part of the game? Figuring out the pictures? With all the names released it would be much less fun figuring things out... clues are more satisfying IMO. Edited by thecostumedanceparty, Oct 18 2012, 04:39 PM.

Questions asked in public don't, but questions asked in private cost 2 points each (1 of which is given back if someone else later asks the same question in public). The thing is, they're of little use to someone who doesn't know who half the people are. What I wanted to do was to avoid people getting completely stuck due to not knowing many of the people, whilst still allowing people who did know most to have an advantage. That's why I'm releasing the names 3 days after the contest started. In any case, I promised at the beginning of the game that I'd release the list of names after 3 days, so it's too late to go back on that now. Edited by CJ, Oct 18 2012, 04:54 PM.

Pink Panther animated series Sooty children's show in UK Michael Jordan in the animated movie Space Jam girl from Harry Potter who plays Luna Lovegood Just to vouch for PL, he had said: "13/15/16/20 - All suspected of taking drugs." I'm not sure how Florence Nightingale counts as "politically related", but if you can explain it, I'll allow that as an invented combo. I can definitely allow the third one as an invented combo, though, and I'll allow you to discard the second one. Yes, I did miss PL's, so thanks for pointing it out . I'll allow it and give him 10 bonus points - it could very easily have been a main combo!

5/6/4/19: All are/were politically involved to try to help the betterment of their community Florence Nightingale advocated for women rights. Also, quote from wikipedia, "Her social reforms include improving healthcare for all sections of British society; improving healthcare and advocating for better hunger relief in India; helping to abolish laws regulating prostitution that were overly harsh to women." Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florence_Nightingale Leon Trotsky "was a Russian Marxist revolutionary and theorist, Soviet politician, and the founder and first leader of the Red Army." Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leon_trotsky Muammar Gaddafi "was the official ruler of the Libyan Arab Republic from 1969 to 1977 and then the "Brother Leader" of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya from 1977 to 2011. Gaddafi seized power in a bloodless military coup from King Idris in 1969 and served as the country's head of state until 1977, when he stepped down from his official executive role as Chairman of the Revolutionary Command Council of Libya and claimed subsequently to be merely a symbolic figurehead." Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muammar_al-Gaddafi Boris Johnson is "a British Conservative Party politician, who was first elected Mayor of London in 2008. Initially coming to public attention as a journalist, he was previously editor of The Spectator magazine (1999-2005) and the Member of Parliament for Henley from the 2001 general election to 2008." I don't know about Gaddafi being involved in helping the betterment of his community, given that he sponsored terrorism around the globe, but I'm satisfied that Florence Nightingale is sufficiently politically related to allow the combo with your original reasoning .

Trotsky isn't actually in that group (he's #6; #14 is Gaddafi). You're right in the it's something to do with their deaths. It's something quite specific, though; it might be helpful to browse Wikipedia for a bit. |

I don't think Gaddafi's funeral was even broadcast (although amateur footage of it was shown on TV). He also doesn't fit in with the previous guess for the reasoning: the other three did indeed die tragically and unexpectedly, but Gaddafi's death was hardly unexpected, since Libyans had spent the previous eight months attempting to overthrow his government (and eventually succeeding). As another clue, the reasoning is nothing subjective, like "tragic and unexpected". It's something objective. |
