Green wall:

Da Vinci / abstract / literature / beauty - Art
I don't have my cheet sheet with me, but I believe that's a correct combo. Either way, the reasoning is correct. Once I find my sheet I will confirm it.

I'll go for an invented combo here:

Bronze / Long / Orange / Sport: Words that are the same in French as in English

Not a bad combo, but I can't give it to you. Sorry. It does not fit the "concept."

Close, reasoning's close too. Sorry- I will add all your points tomorrow (it's late today).

Would give you an invented one, but I'm not because it's too close to a main combo.

I'm going to pass on that one only because it's closely related to other combos.

An attempt at a really basic invented combo:

Black / Blue / Orange / Green: All colours

Good combo, but it doesn't fit the theme. Sorry.

Movie / Vintage / Plato / Sport: Cars?

'Cars' is a movie
Vintage cars
Jason Plato is a racing driver
Sports cars

That would make Lost / Find / Explore / Vintage automatic - and I'm guessing the reasoning is archaeology?

Sorry, but neither is correct. cars is closer to a combo though, if you look at it in a different way (still pretty far from the premesis though).

Last combo is close, but not for that reason. You used vintage twice by the way (not sure if it was intentional or not).

Whoops, that wasn't intentional. Lost / Find / Explore / Observe would have been automatic (not Lost / Find / Explore / Vintage), but I now know that that isn't a main combo, so I won't use it as one of my guesses :P .

Find / Explore / Observe / Plato: Philosophy?

That is actually a combo. I'll give you Lost/Find/Explore/Observe, but you need a definition for it.

Actual combos may not always be applicable (I might have let you slide with a combo using one word twice).
Sorry, my bad. Both combos were right, but both reasoning wrong.

By "Car / Vintage / Plato / Movie", I guess you meant "Sport / Vintage / Plato / Movie" :P ?

Now to find the reasonings for these. Somehow.

Yes, that's what I meant.

One of them is really difficult, the other is basically just another term for the 4 words.

For Lost / Find / Explore / Observe, are they connected by the word "discover"?

The last one in that wall may be questionable, but I think it's fitting. It represents the terms generally.

PL gave up I suppose? :(

Close with combo, wrong reasoning.

And PL, it's okay, I was just wondering where you went is all.

Maybe the clue was for a different combo, then? Though I can't imagine what else it would have been.

As close as CJ's, but incorrect.

For the clue, don't think of a junk yard.
