I'm going to give you a topic. You've got to write about it in any way you choose, may it be short story, poetry, a script, etc. Only 1 entry per person. Look below to see the topic. You must answer all the numbered parts listed below within your creative writing piece. Due 10/15/12. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. make it about Halloween 2. you enter a dark room and see... 3. something's been hidden away 4. use at least three of these words: baby, bush, yellow, chocolate, rhinoceros, laughter, zig-zag, jingle Edited by CJ, Sep 20 2012, 03:00 PM.

I like this. I'll have to make sure my entry is better than my previous two, though . Is there any minimum/maximum word limit, which I guess would apply only to short story entries? |

Nope, though I'll say a small poem won't be what wins this contest. You need some kind of extended story. Remember to answer all four numbers in the story. Edited by thecostumedanceparty, Sep 13 2012, 01:01 AM.

I can probably do this better than I could do the previous writing contest. I'm not sure I can do it well, though .

Yeah, I've started mine. I don't think it's that good though. I'm not really that good at scary stories. |

I haven't yet, but I will. Also, maybe you could test out your ribbon system on this? |

It can be a comedy if you want. It doesn't have to be scary. I'm not rating it by how scary it is, I'm writing it by how creative it is. And I suppose I should use my ribbon system, though I would need two others to help me evaluate the entries. Edited by thecostumedanceparty, Sep 26 2012, 05:06 PM.

That would be great. Only problem is that you're also planning on entering. What should we do for your entry? Edited by thecostumedanceparty, Sep 26 2012, 05:10 PM.

We could use the system I'm using in the Drinks Contest. When a judge enters, they're excluded from judging their own entry, and the other two judges judge it. |

Works for me. We still need another judge. By the way, there needs to be at least 3 different participants. No more of just CJ, PL, and I. We need more. People really should step up and see the fun in these things. I'm sick of no public support in contests. Edited by thecostumedanceparty, Sep 27 2012, 01:51 AM.

Yeah. My story is going OK at the moment, but it's a bit...dull... And I'm writing in the perspective of Cape the Porcupine, so expect lots of bats .I should have it finished before the deadline. Edited by Pyrite, Oct 6 2012, 01:07 PM.

I've at least got my idea now. I'll see if I can get it done this weekend. EDIT: Actually, I think I'll need an extension. There's no way I'll be able to get it done tomorrow. |

Here's my entry, then. The basic plot features Cape, Emily and another character (whose name I HAVEN'T changed, because I've decided that name changing is pretty pointless, really) running around a haunted house. It's more humourous than scary .WARNING: This story contains spoilers for the series as a whole, and several minor spoilers to Cape Version II. It's also a rubbish story and quite long, so unless you're judging this contest, I would not recommend reading it. Spoiler: click to toggle
