Good, but not the connection I was thinking of. Just to remind you, the invented combos are capped at 20, meaning there is still space for another nine. |

I think I know it. They all relate to cats and dogs. rain- the expression "raining cats and dogs" chain- how you walk your pet dog/cat (could also be chain in breeding or rabies spreading) rabies- a disease your dog or cat can get pure- pure breeds Edited by thecostumedanceparty, Jun 4 2012, 04:18 PM.

I like that, but it isn't right. It's more to do with the words themselves than with the meanings of the words. |

For the 'hard' combo, I could give you a hint, but I'd reduce the prize from 50 posts to 25 if I did. |

Is it that they have long vowel sounds, "pure" being the odd one out simply because the "u" is long instead of "a" in the others?

No, it isn't, and I don't do 'odd one out' in my groups. I think only PL does that. I have faith in you guys. You will get this before the end of the world! |

Nope - the clue isn't to do with the specific conflict that's depicted in the picture. It's just to do with what kind of attack is taking place. |

Sorry, I should have been more specific Yggdrasil/Future/Sky/Depth - Ragnarok (Depth because the world gets immersed into water) If not that, then Yggdrasil/Future/Ocean/Depth - Ragnarok. |

I've got some combos myself. Gotta stay in the game with PL. Here's a plethora of made-up combos (take the best ones and count them if applicable) 1. Industrial/Alpine/Ocean/Sky: all biomes or land mass types -Industrial=poison -alpine=mountain/grass -ocean=water -sky=flight 2. Industrial/Liberty/Future/Jobs: the 17th/18th century American Dream 3. Industrial/Build/Chain/Speed: business monopolization 4. Assassin/Alpine/Speed/Discovery: hunter in the alpine searching for animals to shoot 5. Chain/Speed/Powder/Pay: drug dealing -speed is the name of an illegal drug -powder is a form of many illegal drugs -pay is getting access to drugs -chain is repeating the process and getting many different drugs to sell 6. Medieval/Congestion/Gala/Assassin: common life in the Middlke Ages -Medieval is the age -Congestion is the growth in population and disease spreading -Gala, by definition means "festive occasion"; so in this sense a medieval social gathering which was common in that age of time -Assassin: relating to medieval wars and fights for territory 7. jobs/laden/future/discovery: Might be a bit general but things in the mind of a college student or the college life -laden from school work, job, social life -jobs: what you work at college for, what many do in the summer or alongside college -future: planning for the future, reason for college -discovery" finding your self, discovering what your goals in life are 8. floating/sky/rain/congestion/electric/powder?: clouds in the sky Edited by thecostumedanceparty, Jun 4 2012, 11:24 PM.

@PL: Nice, I like that one too. Have 15 points. @Adam: I like 1, 2, 3. 4 is a bit tenuous, really. 5 is good too. 6, I think I can just about allow. 7 is a bit general, and even if it wasn't, we'd have hit the cap of 20 invented combos. So, that's 75 points for you. This puts you on 200, making you the winner! Congratulations! |

I just found out that fifty point combo like in the last ten minutes. Had to look up 6 word countries to find Serbia in the "rabies" one though. The other ones I discovered on my own. Pretty clever there. I wonder if you could do a whole wall scrambled. How hard/unique/interesting would that be? And for the past two hours I was chipping off at this wall. I didn't want to lose it. I have to hand it to PL-Stokie and HeroofDarkness though, both are tough fighters when it comes to these walls. Edited by thecostumedanceparty, Jun 4 2012, 11:43 PM.

He is. 45 minutes later, and he would have won. In fact, I thought he was going to win until you took the victory at the last minute! Also, what do you mean by doing a whole wall unscrambled? |
