This will probably drive CJ up a wall because there are so many of these, but they are just so fun to make. They might need their own section. Anyway, this is my second connecting wall. Like before, there are more than 4 combos. However, there are 4 main combos (with any word combo). The main combos are worth 25 points. All other combos vary (I will determine and already know some of the hidden combos, some of which are worth 50 points). All reasoning are worth 10 points. I am only allowing And once again, your guesses can turn into combos if you give valid reasoning, and/or I feel it satisfies a combo that I don't have. So far I've counted 12 combos, but you may find more. Lastly, you WILL need to research and know the definitions of each word to decipher each puzzle. It will also require a lot of thinking. Good luck to all and may the best one win! EDIT: Unlike the last competition, I won't close this one. I'll leave it open even after someone wins until all the combos are found (it may fall to the bottom of all topics, but what the heck). I will give a clue every 4 unsuccessful guesses (using PL's rules). ![]() Points: PL-Stokie: 215 points CJ: 80 points HeroofDarkness: 50 points Main Combos: red, hood, forest, wolf: Little Red Riding Hood (PL-Stokie) - 25 points guess + 10 points reasoning team, club, tribe, ball: all social gatherings (CJ) - 25 points guess + 10 points reasoning one-step, jump, chalk, hustle (CJ): hop scotch (HeroofDarkness) - 25 points combo (CJ) + 10 points reasoning (HoD) hipster, glitter, pop, drugs: Ke$ha (PL-Stokie) - 20 points for reasoning "Big Money" Combos: glitter, pop, hipsters, team: cheerleaders (PL-Stokie) - 30 points guess + 20 points reasoning ball, team, wolves, red: Arkansas Red Wolves (PL-Stokie) - 30 points guess + 20 points reasoning Combos: hustle, jump, ball, team: pretty much any American sport with a ball (PL-Stokie) - 10 points guess + 10 points reasoning hustle, ball, one-step, pop: dances [could also include jump] (HeroofDarkness) - 10 points guess + 10 points reasoning ball, glitter, pop, one-step: social/formal dance gathering (PL-Stokie) - 10 points guess + 10 points reasoning Invented Combos: hipster, club, pop, drugs: all found at a main stream concert (HeroofDarkness) - 10 points guess + 10 points reasoning chalk, tribe, red, club: stereotype of the caveman (PL-Stokie) - 10 points guess + 10 points reasoning jump, club, hustle, ball: tennis club (CJ) - 10 points guess + 10 points reasoning Edited by thecostumedanceparty, May 29 2012, 06:16 PM.

No, but you're getting somewhere. In fact, some of the 50 pointers are only if you guess the right combo with the reasoning. A lot of these combos you can't guess unless you have a reasoning in mind. That's just how they are. I should also mention that some are really specific combos, while others are vague. Edited by thecostumedanceparty, May 24 2012, 07:12 PM.

Getting there, but no. Your meaning is close. Think from the perspective of an outsider, not within. I'll up the number of guesses per day to four. Edited by thecostumedanceparty, May 24 2012, 07:21 PM.

Yes. That's 10 points, and your reasoning is acceptable for another ten points. I had considered it to be basketball, but really any sport with reason can qualify. It's not a main combo, but it is a combo (one of the easiest). As there has been four unsuccessful guesses so far, I will give a clue:

Yes, for the first one. For the second one, think less about people and more about a group of people together. EDIT: I made a mistake here. You get ten points for the first guess, and another ten for the reasoning. Second one think about it a bit more... Edited by thecostumedanceparty, May 25 2012, 10:17 PM.

Yes, a main combo. 25 points. You've reached your max guesses for today, but you have taken the lead. I will say my wall has a lot of stereotypes... (hint hint) Probably not a good thing.

I think the rest of the wall has stumped me. Just as well, I can't make any more guesses today anyway. Maybe I can think of something tomorrow... By the way, I think this is the best format for the connecting walls. Edited by Pyrite, May 24 2012, 08:52 PM.

I will give clues as necessary. Some of the former guesses were very close, but for technical purposes and main combos I couldn't give them as answers. Thanks. I wanted to include a wall that has many answers, not just one grouping. I think it requires more thinking. It took me a whole day to come up with it though. Another thing to look out for, and which some of you have already noticed: these words have several different definitions (like "ball," which you guys already used in two different ways and could possibly use again) Edited by thecostumedanceparty, May 24 2012, 11:44 PM.

Nope, sorry. Think of the definition of what a club is. All of you are close one way or another. 2 unsuccessful guesses have past since the last clue. Another 2 and you're guaranteed a picture as a clue. Mine could literally go on forever, but we'll see. I'm also going to make a rule that all the 50 pointers can only be earned by guessing both the combo and relation. If just the combo is guessed but there's no reason, I'll give you fifteen points (this is to avoid random guesses getting all the points). I will determine whether your guess was actually educated or just a guess out of the blue, and this will also play a factor. But if you guess the combo and all the reasons straight up, I'll give you fifty. If you guess the combo, but aren't sure of the reasoning, then figure out the reasoning later on, you'll get an added 20 points (15 + 20) to make 35 points instead of fifty. So in a nutshell, for the fifty pointers (which are hard to guess unless you know the answer anyway), you get 50 points by knowing both the combo and the relation (which you should figure out together anyway). As time goes on, and clues go on, the points value for any answer may fluctuate. In any case, I want it to be fair, so that's how I'll aim to give the points out. Sorry, I would have to say no, but one of the options is a stereotype. Again, close, but the stereotype I had in mind is incorrect. These past two uses of "club" (both Hod and PL) are very good definitions, but neither of them satisfy the definition I'm talking about, though HeroofDarkness's is far closer. Then again, with multiple definitions, it gets tough. Look at the last picture and see what you can do with it with these terms I have given you. One more guess until a clue. (from now on invented guesses contribute to getting closer to a clue since they are combos I have not found but rather someone else has) EDIT: I am going to give PL twenty points because I see his as a viable combination (I might change this to ten along with others seeing as how so few people are playing and there's so many combos; or I could just raise the maximum value to 300 instead of 200). If no one contributes, I'll post a clue regardless (eventually anyway). But I want people to guess. Edited by thecostumedanceparty, May 25 2012, 05:36 PM.

No, I think I need to give another clue. This one is hard I guess. ![]() What does this, the first, and the tennis picture have in common? What is happening? Take a very close look at the pictures. I will give CJ credit for his own combo, but I'm not so sure PL's is fitting (unless someone else claims it to be). I'll also say that HeroofDarkness was so close to getting the answer in a prior post (I'm not going to say which one). He just wasn't specific enough, and it was slightly different than what I had as a combo. Edited by thecostumedanceparty, May 25 2012, 10:19 PM.
