I love Xenon... I dunno, just has a cool name. Neon's awesome too. Of course, I love Mercury. I wish I could play with some! |

Yeah, me too. There was a time when you could play with mercury in school Science lessons. Unfortunately, the Minimata disaster happened, mercury's risk factor was upgraded, and it was banned from school science labs. |

Yeah - I'm not sure people were aware of the dangers back then. I wonder whether it could be made safe? I don't think the students would come to much harm if they spend only one lesson with it. The school staff would spend quite a bit longer than one lesson with it in their time at the school, and it probably would harm them over the years. |

It may harm the teachers if they use it for more than one lesson, though. |

Yeah, that's basically what I was saying. It probably would harm them if they did lessons every year for quite a lot of years. |

At the Science Museum Oklahoma, they have tubes with different gases. I found out xenon produces a blue colour... so yeah, I love xenon even more so. Argon was really pretty too, it was purple. |

Funny. I'd always thought of argon as being green, for some reason. I have no idea why. |

Hmm... well I didn't know what it looked like either. There was another element, but I forgot what it was. |
