Craters on Earth

A very minor case of serious brain damage

They aren't as numerous or immediately obvious as the craters on other rocky planets and satellites, but they do exist. Probably one of the most famous is the Meteor Crater (also known as the Barringer Crater) in Arizona, which is about 1.2km across:

Ah, right.

Chicxulub Crater is about 180km wide, so it's one of the largest known craters on Earth, although it's not very easy to detect. Part of it's underwater, and the part on land has eroded and been grown over and everything, so it's not immediately obvious in the way that Barringer is.

Well, it was a massive event, I don't think the meteor that made Barringer caused any mass extinctions :P !
