Reading mathematical notation

Googling for this topic seems to be more difficult than for many others. After a number of failed search strings (the one that worked being "reading mathematical symbols" - obvious in hindsight >_<), I found this (view as HTML), which contained a link to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Table_of_mathematical_symbols. There's a notice saying it's incomplete, but I still think it'd be useful. It's a shame that Wikipedia page didn't come at the top of my search, as someone could've overlooked the link in that Word doc and missed it.

I remember a little while ago I wanted to write a program that would make use of the Leibniz determinant formula, but I couldn't read it. At least now it's difficult to understand, but not impenetrable.

Has anyone else had a problem with this?

A very minor case of serious brain damage

Yeah - it does help a little bit, but it does contain quite a lot of advanced things that need to be looked up themselves (and quite a few that I don't know about!).

I'll try to explain some of these in my videos.
