http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/9188023.stm Sebastian Vettel won the final Grand Prix of the year today to become the youngest ever Formula One World Champion, at 23 years old. His two main title rivals, Mark Webber and Fernando Alonso, finished only 8th and 7th respectively, enabling him to move ahead of them in the overall standings, against all expectations. I'm not a big Vettel fan, but still, it's a pretty remarkable achievement, especially at such a young age. Although he was hardly consistent (he put the car into the barriers quite a lot), he did look very quick all year. I must say, though, I'm glad Alonso didn't win! |
