A very minor case of serious brain damage

It's about time I resurrected this contest. Basically, you have a series of pictures that represent words, and you just have to work out what the words are, like this:

Posted Image
1st picture is a trophy. It says "-r", so we get rid of the 'r', leaving us with tophy. Finally, it also says "ph=da", so we change the 'ph' do a 'da', giving us today.
2nd picture is some lips. It says "-l" and "-p", so we remove the 'l' and the 'p' to leave is.
3rd picture is a sundial. "-i" gives us sundal, and "l=y" then brings us to sunday.
The phrase is, therefore, "Today is Sunday".

Anyway, Now that I've taken you through a practice one, here are five that you'll need to solve on your own. As with BotS, the first person to solve each Rebus correctly wins 10 posts (although they're supposed to get harder as you go down), so in this first round up to 50 posts are available.

Here's the first set:

Enjoy!

3/senetu populsque romanu

EDIT: Didn't understand the rebus, so I've changed it:

3/Senatus Populusque Romanus.

I'll accept that..."Senatus Populusque Romanus" was what it was supposed to be, but that's close enough.

Congrats!

Yes, it does.

2 is also correct. I'm afraid I'll need all of 1 in order to give out the prize for it, though.
