Well the few of you who have me on steam, know that I play L4D2. But I only play with friends, for fun. Anyway. A dude was invited to join us. And he plays with us from time to time. The first thing that people noticed, and were impresed about, was that the guy had over 1500 hours in the game. Which is huge. They thought the guy was a "God". He was pretty good, I'll give him that. Until I noticed a few things. He said on voice chat that a colegue of mine was boomer, when he was in Shadow Mode (before you spawn), he also knew his position. I know he (me collegue) didn't say anything at the time, because that bubble apears above your head. I say that, because my friend asked him "How did you know?", "Oh, I saw the bubble, and saw your shape". Another incident. He was firing towards his teammates, who were up to their necks in zombies. I saw that, an came from behind with the hunter. I was at a distance, so even if the hunter made noise, it was covered by all the zombies and machinegun fire. I jumped, and at the last moment he turned and hit me with his rifle and said "Wha', think you can surprise me with a hunter?" And for the last example, they were fighting in The Parish, on the first map, before you get to the small bar. They were fighting with all the zombies, most of us were dead, I was spectating him, and saw him looking up on the building. I saw a collegue of mine, who was a hunter. The thing was, the moment the hunter exited his view, the croshair followed the hunter around the roof, as he was trying to get a good position to jump. So he was running around the roof, and decided he was going to go close to the ledge to see what's going on down, and the moment his head was visible, he got a bullet between the eyes. The problem is, I can't spectate him for to long, because I after 20 sec, I'm in shadow mode. I know most of you wont believe it either (neither do most of the other). I mean, he does have some time in this game. But I know what I saw, and heard. What I'm thinking is, he can turn it off and on, when he needs to, so that people don't catch on. For the most part, it seams to be working. And before any of you come and say that he will get VAC banned, I'd just like to ad, that there are hacks out there, who are hidden by the AntiVirus program. I called him out hacker once or twice. But I think it was interpreted more like I was joking. Was hopping you guys might have a solution/advice. Edited by Arctic Avenger, Aug 4 2010, 07:47 PM.

Its an interesting conundrum, but like you say its hard to prove with only 20 seconds of evidence at a time. But one way around that may be to roll on his team as a survivor, die and spectate/record him from there (providing you don't die too easily or aren't revied too soon), should get a fair wack of evidence from that. Providing you want to expose him. |

You have no idea. The problem here, is that I'm playing with friends.
There are the other 2 I posted. But... versus is a bit chaotic. And, if it's like I think, to turn off and on, then it's up to him when he wants to use it.
That is a good plan. Unfortunetly, my computer can't do both. I still have moments when the game freezes up on me for a few seconds when the actions get thick.
I want to... I said it once in the chat, one time when he wasn't on. People pointed out his nearly 2000 Hours in the game, and that "some people are just good". I understand that, but I'm also judging by my few years spent playing Counter Strike (not the source one). Saw a lot of hackers, and I know how most of those programs work. I did my homework. |

Hackers keep bustin' yo style. Sorry, I don't really know how to deal with them. I mostly play PS3 online and that kind of sucker is rare there, so... |

Well, i really don't see the point of hacking in left4dead or playing with hackers. Some how hackers are provide to think higher of themselves Best advice is don't play with him. unless he can provide a full video of how he play. I think we need a term for quitting because of hackers other than ragequit, or someone already done it? |

The general idea is to pull the internet cable out of the PC, then wait 5 min before pluging it in. |

Then shut it down for 5 min. If you wanna make it more plausable, then wait 30 - 45 min. Edited by Arctic Avenger, Aug 6 2010, 06:44 PM.
