Philosophy is my General Education elective this semester. My major is Computer Science & Engineering, but I'm also required to take so many hours of various types of 'Humanities' before they'll give me my degree. This means that by the time I earn my Masters in Comp Sci, I will also have to have had 3 credit hours each of Pan-African Studies, History and Appreciation of Art and Music, History of Lesbianism, Sociology, Philosophy, God's Bollocks, Criminal Justice in the United States, You're A Bad Person For Being A White Male, Anthropology, Veterenary Cardiology, Arseside, Evolution of Roman Architecture, and Citrus Trees of the Northern Tropics. I am lucky to have 1/4 of my classes be relate to my major in a semester. This semester, for my Computer Science and Engineering degree, I study: Comp Sci 230 - Data Structures Engineering 150 - Engineering Drafting (AutoCAD, etc.) Chemistry 201 - Some old Polish vampire's bullshit chem lecture Chemistry 207 - Analytical Chemistry, in which we very precisely pour liquids at each other Philosophy 207 - Social Class, Lesbianism, and Racism Math 190 - Something Resembling Pre-Calculus because every Engineering class from here on out will be fucktons of calculus if it isn't physics. |

I don't think sarcasm suits you. That last bit wasn't sarcastic. |

So am I, I think that's the idea. College full of white males required to learn how the questionable ethics of their ancestors makes the current generation terrible people by default and how having a penis makes them woman-oppressing terrorists -> Now you're politically acceptable!
