Is it live, or is it Dave-orex? Posts: 7,981 Group: Admins Member #10 Joined: Jul 24, 2008	tragedy struck my recording studio a few months ago. The HDD in my DAW crashed. All my half written songs are gone. I couldn't play keyboard. Major bummer. I got over losing all that raw material but I was seriously jones-ing for some keyboard time. Well I got the great idea last night to download and install a squencer on my netbook, just for S&G. I'll be damned if it didn't work pretty well actually. It's not one of the major major sequencers but it's good enough to connect my keyboard controller to and play along with some stuff. I was skeptical that I'd get some audio lag or dropout considering the relatively low specs of the laptop but oddly enough I'm able to have the sequencer and a keyboard patch loaded while playing along to a song that's playing through winamp 2.8 without any hiccups. This is great for me because now I can learn some new cover tunes and possibly write some new material for the pop rock band that I'm trying to start up in lieu of my getting a keyboard workstation rig for christmas. I doubt this will spark much convo but I felt like telling you guys anyways. Later, Dave
