Meh the Giants are slipping and I've always thought the Padres were pretty bad. No my friend, the Dodgers are where it's at for the West. But we'll see about next year. The Rockies are certainly improving. |

Not only is Maddox an outstanding pitcher, but an outstanding overall player. He's one multiple Silver Slugger and Gold Glove Awards, meaning he's the best hitting and fielding pitcher out there. Beyond that, he's a great teacher. Half of the pitchers he's played with attribute their success to his guidance. Maddox will go down as one of the top five players in history in my opinion. |

That was shitty to the max. They punished the Rockies for destroying the D-Backs. They had the longest lay-off between the NLCS and the World Series in the history of the sport. It gave the Rockies a chance to actually think about what was taking place, and it was simply too much for them once it set in. I firmly believe that if the lay-off had only been five or six days instead of nearly two weeks the Rockies would've won. |

And you guys have a near auto-out in the pitcher. And the American League does bat pitchers when we go to Nat. League parks, which in the WS, would be something of a disadvantage, seeing as our pitchers are less experienced batters, so they are auto-outs. In my opinion the game is much more interesting when you don't have some guy pathetically flailing the bat batting .100 in the #9 spot in the order every night. Though I have to give some praise to Carlos Zambrano, because last time I checked he was batting something like .350 |

I agree that the Ray's aren't that bad of a team, even though I have to hate them now that the Sox are playing them here in the playoffs. If we end up losing the series, I'll be pretty pissed, but at least a team that has been miserable for so long is finally making it to the big show. Not that I'm rooting for them now. |
