FINALLY. Just one week left. This wait has been killing me but finally we can get back to some football. Here's some predictions that will probably change wildly over the course of the next several months: NFC is hard to figure out. 49ers or Seahawks for top seed. Falcons for #2 seed Packers for #3 seed Giants for #4 seed 49ers or Seahawks for #5 seed some other NFC East team for #6 seed 49ers or Seahawks vs Giants for the NFC ship (yes homer pick. suck my dick) AFC is.... well who cares about the AFC? Peypey will choke Flacco will choke Andrew Luck will choke The Houston Texans will choke Steelers are depleted Brady gon Brady |

Flacco win playoff games. He deserves his money, even if the Broncos did dominate his face off tonight. He threw 11 TDs and 0 INTs in the playoffs last year; you can't ask anything more from a QB. I hate the bastard but he deserves to be paid like an elite quarterback. |

Sure. But he also has dreadful DREADFUL performances in the regular season. For the record I'm not against the notion of him getting paid good money; I'm against the idea of him being the highest paid player in the game, and I'd still put him under Peyton/Brady/Rodgers/Brees/Eli |

He's 28. That's why he's being paid more than the rest of those guys. He's the youngest of the guys commonly considered to be "elite" material and he happened to win a Super Bowl MVP in his contract year. Aaron Rodgers is a year older and Eli is four years older. I agree that both are better quarterbacks but their contracts didn't come up at as convenient a time as Flacco's. |

![]() Suggs got lit up by a guy who has been unable to get on the field the last few years because he refused to block anybody. He's a former basketball player. Julius Thomas can obviously catch and run, as we saw from the two touchdowns last night, but he's not even a starter with Joel Dreessen healthy. Just makes it that much sweeter to see Suggs get hit by Thomas, then get up for a nice face full of all pro left tackle. |

Good for Peyton with the great game, but it kind of annoys me that if Brady and the Pats did the same thing people would be whining about running up the score and stat padding, where with Peyton they don't. Anyway, Pats-Bills tomorrow. I think the Pats win by at least two scores. So glad football is back. |

That's because what the Broncos were doing wasn't stat-padding or running up the score. The only reason they were even throwing was because they couldn't get a damned first down on the ground. Thomas busting a bubble screen 78 yards is a lot different than Brady going over the top to Moss in the same situation. Not that I give a fuck if the Pats wanna run up the score or not. Defenses are paid to stop offenses and if they can't, they deserve to be scored on. |

I'm not saying what they did was, nor does scoring bother me. It's just this thing people have had against the Pats since 2007 that every time they score a bunch of points those topics come up, and it's grown annoying over they years. |

2 points rather than two scores, but at least the Pats won. Brady clearly doesn't feel comfortable with his receivers outside of Amendola and Edelman. I think Thomkins was target 14 times and only caught 4 balls. Ridley's absurd fumble where he just fell over and lost the ball (which was returned for a TD) really didn't help. |

I had Ridley on my fantasy team. Might cost me a win, I need a big night from LeSean McCoy to pull it off. |

I started Zech Sudfeld over Jared Cook. Major mistake. Goddamit, I'm going to lose as a result, unless Andre Johnson scores less than 5 points. |

Both the Eagles and Skins look like shit, sick of hearing the announcers talk up the Eagles. The Skins handed them almost everything they have. Neither of these teams will finish .500, and both their quarterbacks are going to get hurt. Probably soon. |
