I went to the Pats game today. Cold as shit, but seeing Gronk come back and score a TD along with a rare Pats D shutout made it pretty sweet. First round bye is great too. This is how I see the playoffs: AFC: Houston over Cincy Indy over Baltimore Denver over Indy Pats over Houston Pats over Denver NFC: Green Bay over Minnesota Seattle over Washington San Fran over Green Bay Atlanta over Seattle San Fran over Atlanta Super Bowl: Pats over 49ers Should be an exciting playoffs, especially if we get to see Brady vs. Manning again. I think having Gronk and Hernandez available and relatively healthy gives the edge to the Pats, even on the road, but we'll see if both teams make it past the divisional round first. |

The Broncos were without Kuper, Koppen, Carter, Brooking, and DJ Williams the first game and that was in New England. There's no way Ridley has a game like that against us again and there's no way our offensive line plays like that again (JD Walton and Manny Ramirez both played that game and they suck ass). The Broncos are top five in yards, scoring, and third downs on offense and defense. This team is too complete and too good at home. Plus McGahee should be back by the AFC title game. I think the Patriots are safe until then, though. The only team besides the Broncos I could see beating them is the Bengals, and the Bengals would have to win at Mile High to play New England. Also a 0% chance Kaepernick comes out of the NFC. If it's not Green Bay it's Atlanta. |

The Pats D has also improved. They still suck but they suck less than they did way back then. Also, The Broncos haven't played a team with a good offense since like week 8 against NO, and beat up on a lot of bad teams this year. It's easy to look good KC and Oakland and Cleveland. I'm not saying Denver's defense sucks by any means, but I think the Pats have the firepower to move the ball on Denver's D like many other teams they've faced haven't been able to.

Broncos also beat the Bengals on the road, the Bucs, and the Ravens. Not great teams but all three are top 13 in scoring and the Saints are third. Also better to beat up on bad teams than to lose to them (see: arizona). Your team won't be able to handle our fourth quarter pass rush. Not in the altitude. |

Fourth quarter pass rush? Not really sure what to say to that, since I have nothing to base a response on. I'd have to see some evidence that proves the Broncos have a higher sack rate in the fourth quarter when at home, and that the higher sack rate isn't just because opponents would tend to pass more often if behind, and thus be more prone to allowing sacks. The Pats did lose to the Cardinals, but that was ages ago, and they should have won but the kicker missed a field goal that would have won the game. New England is better on offense than any team you listed, though the Saints are pretty close, and holding them to 14 was good. I think the Pats can put up around 28 or so on Denver, the real question to me that will decide the game is how well the Pats D can limit Manning. If they hold him to 21 points again, I think the Pats have a real good chance of winning. Not sure how reasonable that is though. Regardless, I don't want to discuss it much more in depth until the Pats win the divisional playoff game. After the Jets loss in 2010, I realize that no game is a gimme in the playoffs.
